TBH, I wasn't expecting a Lattice #ad when I clicked this video, but I'm glad Stefano is making that money so he can continue to push the sport without worrying about finances.
@@870tgzuhjblhkjhiunkmpiu I mean, there is nothing wrong with financing the lifestyle this way. The sport is not ruined, but we have to stay realistic.
Man, I am sure people have thought of the pause reps you do for endurance training, but this seems like a big training idea that you don't see very often that makes total sense. When you are lead climbing, you are messing with the rope, clipping ect, and that takes much more time than if you were just powering move after move quickly on a spray wall. It makes so much sense I don't know why more people aren't doing this type of endurance training, thanks for showing us this Stefano!
I’ve seen it suggested and recommended a couple of times. But usually slightly different in that you have to put your hand above a hold for 3 seconds before you are allowed to use it.
@@boddzillabodman2377 try do resistance high rep in the gym and after that session, just try to be explosive/strenght output session high risk injury and also your output will never be 100%. Other way around is more suitable.
Watching one of the strongest climbers in the world barely split two feet above the ground really makes you think about how varied athleticism really is.
@@RUclipsCommenter1 Does it? Just because Stefano can’t do a proper side split he’s far from inflexible. And who knows how much better he would be if he were more flexible?
Lattice paid for the promotion, Stefano is nice but dude's gotta eat. Not much, because maintaining 55kg at 170cm is a bitch, but still. The video is marked with "paid promotion".

Anyone else find that when climbing they’re WAY more flexible than when they try to stretch on the floor? I can get into almost any position on a wall….ask me to do it on the ground and I’m like a 90 year old man with a bad back
Thats becuase you have assistance to get into these positions when on a wall. If you were to do the same exercise but help yourself with weight or pushig with hands into certain positions you will be just as flexible. That is the difference between passive and active stretch.
have you considered taking after Jakob and live streaming attempts? I understand it is a personal choice and performance based. If you think it won’t affect your mental, we would love to see some attempts no matter the outcome and be there with you.
I enjoyed a lot to see a training video with you. However, it is sad to see that the majority of youtube climbing training content and a big part of the climbing community moves towards a mechanistic approach of the sport. 3 sets of this exercise, 3 sets of another exercise ... Beginners and intermediates spend more and more time with physical training and replace the time on the wall. I miss the days when people spoke about magic like Dave Graham, feeling like Johnny Dawes or dynamic movement like Klem Loskot. But you Stefano are one of the grand climbing wizards of our time. Wouldn't you like to make a series of deeper technique videos that are essential for your climbing? PS: I personally really enjoyed the video of Dave McCleod and the counterbalancing foot.
I really like most of Stefano's content but this looked like an ad for products he had never used before. Fair enough but personally I didn't enjoy it.
55 kg, lol. That's the problem with this sport. On one hand it's the best sport in the world, on the other hand it's all about how much you weight; only with wide margins followed by genetic finger strength and genetic local aerobic capacity of the forearms.
I guess getting to the top percentage of any sport is at least a bit unhealthy and obviously also determined by genetics. Next to training, training, training of course.
It's just a vulgar Lattice ad.. boring to watch great climbers making bad videos for advertising. Even if we like your work and Lattice work, don't neglect us..

For my fellow mortals out there, don’t ever do campus board after an endurance session lol
To stay weak?
@@artemdorinif u campus after an endurance, you r weak in knowledge
Yup, should be the other way around, first campus then endurance or in separate sessions.

Ok so I am flexible enough to start projecting silence! Good to know!
I envy people with flexibility. It’s much harder to gain (or even impossible) than strength.

probably the mysterious suspense of the background music leading up to the point where he takes 5 kg off
these training videos are always great!
Stefano trains by not speaking. Thus attaining silence 🤫
actually laughed out loud at this 🤦♂
Thanks, Stefano!
Thanks for sharing your routine, Stefano. Lots of information here that I can't wait to use in my training
The dark music made it feel like a "before" section from a documentary about Stefano dying on Silence.
😂
In bocca al lupo Stefano!!! Sei un grande!!
Lattice product placement? Love it!!
thanks for the videos! it’s how i know if it’s thursday or not

I'm as flexible as a 9b+ climber. 😂😂
what is the app that you're using??? please let me know
