- We visited arguably the hardest and best climbing gym in the world for High level training, and I had the chance to climb with the homie @JakobSchubertClimbing for a hard and long session. Who's gonna survive Jakob training regime?

the slab is at 10% overhang 🤣
Yes this is real slab other « slab » isnt « slab » it’s more like hiking
@@vzbeats_ with my friends we always say that under 45° overhangs is slab 🤣
@@FlashEscalade true under 45, 1O is easy slab
@@quentin27th14 ah vous ici 😉
23:42 Stefano: 'Remember we are known as down-graders.' Can't wait to watch this next spectacle with those two😉. This spray wall is a dream👌.
Imagine completing that monster session and casually saying "I feel kinda pumped" afterwards. Absolutely beasts!
The speed and accuracy of that heel hook at 21:41 was so sick
That güllich thumbnail, shows respect for the history of training ❤
The forearms of Kurt Albert are fucking massive. I wonder if he trained for hypertrophy or if this came as a byproduct of his other training.
0% drugs
0% violence
100% “thanks for the session”
Jakob is looking inhumanly strong right now 🤯
Edit: Not that the rest don’t lol
He has the home advantage and knows the wall very well! Never mind, Jakob is VERY STRONG. 💪
.
@@jonnes__4657 see what I mean! World champ form 🥇
Finally an Itallian - Austrian collab we can stand behind ;)
😟
Jesus this is one of the most intense session that i ever seen. Thanks so much for sharing this kind of content. Are able to see stefano and schubert push them self is amazing!!!❤❤
It feels like those circuits are just several insane boulders in a trench coat.
At 1:40 the pogo to efficiently fall into the next move is those kind of techniques that no one talks about 👀
Lovely video and vibe!
Also... How can you call that a slab 🤣
People don’t realise how much coordination and timing it takes to perfect it 😮💨
Hmm, I as a newbie would probably try to bump my hip in for a similar effect. What is the advantage of a pogo over this method?
@@ayuminorpogo is often used when there are no suitable footholds to bump with the hips. That is because to generate momentum from the hips you ideally want a foothold for left and right leg. If you only have one foothold and you need to generate to the next hold, a pogo is often the best option.
In the clip you can see that there are no suitable footholds for Stefano’s left leg, only his right. Which means he can’t properly generate from the hips at that position. That’s why he opted for the pogo with his left leg for the left hand bump.
Also, a pogo is useful to generate momentum with minimal foot swaps. On a spray wall like this, you don’t want to get pumped out by doing extra footswaps and movements. You want to get everything fast and done.
The pogo is a pretty modern move so there’s alot to learn about it. Don’t worry about the details, the more you climb the more you’ll understand the physics behind it haha.
Just some ultra-hardcore climbing, I dig it.
That was really nice. No egos, just supreme athletes working together. However, it would have been helpful for some of us mere mortals if you'd added explanation of what you were doing at times
I actually think it’s good that way.
Just expert climbing without any ultra-RUclips vibes like „yoo guys now I‘m taking this insane sidepull and do this dyno“
You can just see what they’re doing because of the awesome camera work and enjoy the climbing
The circuts were crazy harder, yet the vibe was exactly the same that one me and my mates have while training on spraywall. Love the video, as always!
Legendary training session
Love the content with Jakob! Such a beast and a chill dude at the same time. Looking forward to more 😊
Climbing with Jakob on that spray wall is like walking into a lion's den, with similar results. Awesome to see you guys climbing together, cant wait for more!
you two are such a cool duo
WOW, the spray wall in the Innsbruck-Kletterzentrum is amazing. 👍
Schöne Grüße nach Innsbruck
.
what a crazy set of holds on that wall
If you can, a video together with Alexander Megos would be super cool
"And everyone has left." "Ya, thats usually the case. Boudlerers are usually lazy". Hahahahah, I love it! Training that hard can scare some people away for sure, but I find it very inspiring! Thank you so much for the video:)!!
This video has aged well. Congratulations to the combined champion Jakob on his ticket to the Olympics!
Jakob is an absolute monster wow. So strong
Loved this video!! both incredable climbers but jakob is just a mutant on plastic, rock, rope or boulder. I remember I think will Bosi saying he saw Jakobs circuits and his jaw hitting the ground. Such cool styles; Stef light and floaty Jakob pure power. Excited for clash of the Titans!! time for the upgrade since jakob and Ondra have tried to no avail haha
Uhh, I really like this video!!
Thank you.
Speaking as a boulderer, that looked.... Brutal.
I must say they are pretty good
"Everyone else has left." That's why you guys are the best!
Actually such a hype video! Psyched for some training 🔥
this is exhausting me just watching.
Jakob said:"fight"!! The only way to be stronger is fighting...
Nice video, thanks!!!
at what time stamp he said "fight" ?
Glad to see you guys tried one of my gems 😏👌
I absolutely love spraywalls
Great training session, loved the fart noises, gave it a touch of realism!
As a setter ive got a love hate relationship with that spraywall 😂 i love how huge it is, but id hate to think how much all those holds cost for that big of an area
Why care about costs it's about training
"The first high point in a circuit is one and a half move" so that does not happens only to me 😂
Arco meca of outdoor climbing? Come onnn.
Damn, how many climbing shoes worth of rubber do you think are plastered on that left wall haha
03:12 is this Kilian Fischhuber?
yes
By the end of the video I thought Jakob had something to exchange to keep getting closer to the gym. Maybe next video.
JFC that's what Jakob calls a slab? lmao
Slab is a state of mind lol
@@MrNa2396hahaha slab is more of a concept
veryvery nice
Ey i remember being in the training area when this was filmed
How long ago?
@@corafusco4608 Last week ok Tuesday the 18th, if memory serves me right
Wanna see Stefan send silence so badly
Take a sip everytime they say C'mon 🎉
How do you do it to avoid having pain in your fingers? I’m starting to know a lot of climbers in my gym that experience it (including myself) and we’re not even close to climbing at your level…
I second that question. I'd like to know the answer... Sometimes I have pain in my shoulders too.
yeessssss
22:57 I am also totally done... even tough I was just sitting in my confy chair...
I got pump just from watching
Ma Que Padre Mio °°° Lolll
From 5:42 to 5:45 stefano gives everyone a sneak peak at what it would look like if a mere mortal tried any of these spray wall problems.
5:44 🥴
Jacob is a master of plastic, Stephano the master of stone
19:56 🤣
next one is good, just jump 🤣
If only Jakob was better at lead climbing long routes😛
12:30 Jakob is farghting hard
Mecca of indoor climbing? I didn't know B-pump moved to Innsbruck 😂
B-pump is a big one for hard comp-bouldering, but for lead Innsbruck is the place to go.
Also look at that spray wall in the video, I mean holy shit
I think Jakob likes slopers
Arco the mecca of EU climbing? hmmm.... of polished climbing maybe.
First
How a bout a.... shirtless session? ^^
for free? in this economy?
Arco the meca of outdoor climbing in Europe? 🤣🤣 I suppose it is a joke, isn't it?
It's "a" mecca. Europe is blessed with so many great places that one cannot say "THE" for anyone. No point in making a ranking. Stefano can be forgiven for being biased as he lives in Arco.
@@stefanopaoli717fully agree, we have a lot of places to get fun and at the end each of us have our particular mecca. In my case my mecca is Margalef in Catalonia
@@juanj086 don't know much about other places but historically speaking Arco was one of the most important places for developing modern sport climbing since the early 80s, where climbers from all Europe came to try new modern hard routes opened by pioneers of the discipline. If you add the amount of routes, rock types and styles that you cand find all around the Arco area you can see why is called Mecca of sport climbing in Europe, just like Yosemite in the world.
