      Focus on becoming a whole person. That’s what holy truly means. You’re not going to get a perfect answer in a minute long short when it comes to figuring out what you want to deal with for the rest of your life. You know the answer. And this world is not ideal for relationships, but doesn’t mean you can’t find one ❤

    ''narcissists do not like to be challenged''. If so, that includes most people. Also, it includes insecure people, which are not necessarily narcissists.

      No it means what it says. He didn’t say “Only narcissists don’t like to be challenged”, he implied just that it’s a trait of narcissism.

    This explains why I broke up with the sweetest, kindest, most wonderful woman. She was sexy and smart and absolutely head-over-heals and willing to do anything for me... but that was the problem. I am sometimes termpermental. I can be moody and difficult at times, and in those moments, I would run right over her. My hardness against her softness made me feel like a petulant bully, even though she never felt that way about me. Today, I'm married now to a stronger woman who doesn't put up with my crap when I'm difficult. She herself is terpermental and moody at times, and I understand that and deal with it. We contend with one another, and we have the most amazing marriage of love and respect and passion between us.

    • @johnd1047
      @johnd1047 2 года назад +10

      First of all, that’s a lie. You absolutely think there’s people that don’t deserve good treatment, I don’t see you letting all the convicts out of prison. If you allow someone to continually mistreat you then you deserve it. Constantly going back to a source of pain is a choice and not holding that person accountable for their mistake is exactly why people continue to make that mistake. It’s what people are talking about when they say “victim mentality”.

    • @KendraMorgan
      @KendraMorgan Год назад +1

      @@johnd1047im going to guess you dont see Mary at all. Secondly, this was from a lecture at Harvard circa 1993. The idea of narcissim back then was that narcissistic abuse was equivalent to throwing boiling water onto a person but now the research shows it's closer to a frog who is in a pot of water on a stove and then that burner gets turned on, and because of the gradual increase in temperature, the frog's fate is death. It's too late by the time the frog actually realizes the water is hot enough to kill it. Associate that to narcissistic abuse where you substitute the frog as the victim, the water being the narcissistic tactics used to slowly kill you, and the heat source being the narcissist.

      @MysticalDyl and just what questions do we ask? And where is this class that I need to sign up to take to find out what you know? The dark triad is very complex and until recently, there was little to no background information on how to handle it. He'll, Hare's PCL-R test was only revised within the last 20-30 years I think and it's not like I'm going to walk up to some guy I randomly meet and ask "are you extremely callous?" "Do you manipulate for personal gain?" "Do you lie?"

      You're assuming things, I never said it was their fault. But it's them that is attracted to narcissists which makes it their responsibility to get therapy to prevent this from happening in the future. It's the abuser's fault mainly, but the abused has to take responsibility for their weaknesses as well. As I said therapy but many people like to be abused as well which is fked up so they can cry about it to others because they have borderline personality disorder or they are covert narcissists themselves who actually do play the victim and enjoy being abused and people feeling sorry for them. Like how can you say I'm wrong here? Are you one of these people or something? No matter what situation you're in, you have to accept your own responsibility unless you are kidnapped or raped or something, things like that are obvious exceptions but we all have free will in other cases for fk sake get a grip.

      Also if you done any amount of psychology research, you would understand that neurotypical people DO NOT tolerate abuse.
      Covert narcissists and borderlines will be drawn to narcissists over and over and this is why he said 'deservedly so'
      But you just love to hate this guy because you are likely brainwashed by left-wing politics another safe space for coverts and borderlines lol. Cmon to fk stop having strong opinions when you don't understand the subject you are making a fool of yourself to anyone with half a brain and think you sound smart, you don't.
