Hey all, this was my first video edited with Adobe Premiere, and I also used Adobe Audition for my voiceover. My voice was also a bit hoarse when recording, so I apologize for some of the growly moments. So, the video may not be perfect in some areas, but I hope you guys enjoy it regardless!
HE MENTIONED THE CHEAT!!! HE MENTIONED THE CHEAT!!! Man, I loved trying see how many blocks you could get through the grid streets without getting t-boned with fast traffic. This was honestly the most fun to just screw around in free roam in.
L.A. Rush’s hip hop soundtrack is so nostalgic. I’ve owned this game since it came out. My only memory of this game was the intro part where your cars get stolen and me and my friend were laughing like crazy at it. I miss 2005 sometimes. 😅
I always forget that this game exists. I can't believe they brought back an arcade classic just to turn it into a lower budget Midnight Club clone. Man, what I would give for a true Rush 4. I know it will probably never happen, but I can still hope.
This is why I love youtuber like you, accurate explanation Even I can't complain about the music since I play the game for my youtube channel but game modes is great (at least at main campaign) Redemption mission is hard for me but accuire mission is another level Imagine try to get nissan frontier while chase by thousands brutal AI
I will say something to defend this mess but that is actually an impressive damage model for licensed cars, most games go as far as to scratch the pain, break the windows or have the parts fall off. This game looks like the car actually crashed hard. I dont know how the guys Midway managed to get away with that.
The map is honestly one of, if not, the best map in any 6th generation racing game. Even when comparing it to Midnight Club Los Angeles from the 7th gen, the world feels larger and more open. Plus you can drive through and smash the Hollywood sign, how many other racers let you do that?
Every game that has a playable Mitsubishi Lancer is ok in my book :) All jokes aside, you made a lot of good points in this informative video but I thought the crash cam looked quite good with all the parts flying everywhere. Maybe it gets tiresome after a while. I really like that you are not lazy with your editing like some content creators are. What you are talking about is always what is showing up on screen. Great video!
That is easily my biggest pet peeve with many videos. Like, if they aren't going to show what they are talking about, then it shouldn't even be a video lol.
I have this game on my old PS2 i must said that this was a typically low budget 2000's racing games that crowding the genre of the time Its not a decent games of course especially the graphic which is literally look like a 2002-2003 games rather then 2005-2006 games, the physics of the car is also weird as hell but it has a spot in the car damage which is awesome especially for a typically licensed vehicle racing games (well of course the license strictness back day is not as strict as today) It's still has its charm and it marked as one of the racing games that crowding the 2000's golden age of racing games Fun fact : Pitbull Syndicate is also a developer of PS1 Test Drive games (4, 5, 6 / Off Road 1, 2, 3) Edit : oh i forgot to mention that PC Version of this game is a disaster mess, well imagine Arkham Knight pc port, thats how La Rush PC version is
Never even heard of this, and I can see why... Absolutely shocking! =/ I think Midway peaked with NFL Blitz 2000, cracking game which I'm surprised hasn't had a remake.
That was one of the various games who made Midway went bankrupt years later, i finished the game, the physics are awful since every car acts like the same thing, from suvs to tuners, the engine sound effects are generic with mostly of the cars sharing the same sound, not mention of how is ridiculous you can't choose the car color and no customization. The two best points of the game are the crashes and the design of L.A map, but its very empty if you want to do side quests and the career races are very repetitive.
I loved this game as a kid, i found it unique and one of a kind. Regardless of the bad my nostalgia for this game is too great to not like it, tho i agree with most of the topics in the video.
would you cover some worst shovelwares made by Canopy games and published by ValuSoft like Midnight Outlaw Illegal Street Drag Nitro Edition? This is used to be my nostalgic game since a long time.
Did it fail so hard almost no one remembers it? Yes Did I spend WAY TOO MUCH TIME for no reason getting 100% of this game (full everything)? YES, DUNNO WHY. I could focus a lot easier as a kid on really dumb stuff.
I think it's a good game. You can free drive and do whatever you like. Plus you can do all kinds of stuff like racing through the streets, run along the beach, roar down the river and enjoy the high flying jumps.
I would always pull my memory card before going into the upgrade garage, and without fail I'd then put it back in and releod my old save. Pretty much every single "pimped" car looked terrible! Also at least for the first third of the game I managed to actually play, the AI seemed to scale to your vehicle, so there was no advantage to selecting a faster car.
Never played this game, but had hundreds if not thousands of hours in the 1st and second rush game. I love everything about the original rush. I really wish they would make an upgraded version of it. It was the perfect racing game for its time.
@@GamerAlexVideos I understand that. But again. LA has the same Physics as this, also a very Rushed LA map compared to this. Would have been nice to have the full LA map
@@AkiRalcolf No, Midnight Club Los Angeles have better and different physics than L.A Rush, the map on Midnight Club was made to have accurate geographic design while L.A Rush map its made to be larger only using popular parts of the city, is not rushed, Los Angeles real map its very bigger to fit in a PS3 game.
This is My first time leaving a comment on one of your videos GamerAlex But, I used to play L.A. And, This Comment is done!🙂😎😎
One more thing that I hate in this game back then was the entry fee system for the races. Generally it's not a bad thing, but with the combination of those stupidly difficult races, it was quite a pain. Like hell, there's more than one time I've lost all my money just because I keep losing in those races
i played almost like 50% on ps2 emulator is kinda midnight and need for speedy but some things like A.I and too much npc cars and the difficulty spikes........
Why do these reviews have you talking the entire time and not sample any audio from the game? Ive never played this game and would of liked to hear the bad acting lines, car engines and music. Guess ill have to watch someone elses gameplay video.

San Francisco Rush, Rush 2 Extreme Racing USA and San Francisco Rush 2049 are absolute classics

When I was younger, I'd play the game for hours just because of the cheat. I don't know who thought of the cheat, but they need to be praised.
I know the game is a mess, but for me it has some "something something" that gives it charm, maybe its the nostalgia for the 2000's

in ps2 version of the game you can increase speed of animation when you creshed by holding gas button

Midnight Club Los Angeles map have better geographic design while L.A Rush its made to be larger only using the popular locations.
Get off his case @@Victor_2000s
I completely forgot about this game, and to be honest I don't think anyone paid much attention to it back in it's day either.
Was ignored since Midnight Club 3 and NFS Most Wanted was released in 2005.

Does Arkam Knight brick your PC to the point you have to wipe the drive and reinstall the OS? Cause that's how broken the PC port of this game is!
@@scottthewaterwarrior well of course not, I'm just giving one easiest example of this case
They developed Test Drive 2002 too, also the engine are the same, especially on the PSP port of L.A Rush.
Bruh, arkham knight works just fine on my pc
It's funny, L.A Rush *feels* hella rushed lol

Because Midway went bankrupt in 2009.
@@Victor_2000s Shame that...

It's a possibility. I'd like to do more videos on bad racing games like that.
Was it tried to be like Midnight Club?
Yes.
Not as good as the previous Rush games
Did it fail so hard almost no one remembers it? Yes
Did I spend WAY TOO MUCH TIME for no reason getting 100% of this game (full everything)? YES, DUNNO WHY.

L.A. Rush actually was a competitor against other racing games, it tried to compete NFS and Midnight Club but due to mixed reviews, it didn’t go well

Well my PS2 is gonna die

a big disgrace to tha Rush Franchise! as a huge fan of tha 1st 3 original Rush games from 1996-2000, WE DON'T SPEAK OF LA RUSH
The game's like a cringe version of midnight club in terms of everything
But nostalgia hurts and I go back to LA Rush to cure my nostalgia for the 2000s.
