I know most of us who played this didn’t like that we couldn’t customize the cars the way we wanted to, but being older I realized that was part of the whole Pimp My Ride theme; the shop (or MTV) chose the modifications for the owners.
I'm glad someone else caught that, you can't have a Procharger (centrifugal supercharger) with a blower scoop. They all looked like a roots supercharger (positive displacement supercharger) with the scoop on top
so whats the deal with the concept cars? did you do something to make that happen or is it just with the ps2 version? i played the xbox version of this game and all the concept cars are unlocked with their colored versions and you couldnt pimp them. however if the concept car was still locked and you did the "use any car" glitch by unplugging the controller, that would turn the concept cars silver/white like what you showed before pimping.
A lot of racing games don't seem to do that. They just call it the SRT4. I've only seen one game where the Neon is referred to as, well, Neon. Need For Speed: Underground.

Concept 2 looks like the DF8 from Gta,8 is the Freecrawler. 3,5 and 7 are actually really cool and could pass as a real 90s concept. The rest not so much.

I found out that L.A. Rush was developed by Pitbull Syndicate the developer of Test Drive 2002 game, not by Midway cause Midway published it.
I figured how the cars handling and crash scene. They really fit for previous RUSH formula.

Concept Car 20 kinda looks like the Smashing Drive taxi by Galeco. I believe Midway helped them out with distribution in the States.
