When Bruce said that John Fogerty is one of the best song writers of rock is a great honour, because Springsteen is one of the best composers of all times, too.

@@dukejukebox775 It's not anti-war song. It's more of social issues song. The "millionaire's son", "Senator's son" were dogging the draft. The guys who couldn't dodge it were people from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. The song speaks about that. They are talking about how they are not military material. It's just not in them. But they got drafted, and the privileged dodged it.
could it be, that John has a much more better voice in 2009 than in their prime time ? It sounds so awesome, such skillful. And im a guy who has 4 or more albums in Google Play Music and the greatest hits album :D i love hear them
I thought Bruce his voice was much better here, in this performance.. sounds like Fogerty was a bit tired, a bit off key here and there... but, not a bad word about the legend!
Everbody look at around 2:19 ... the look on John Fogerty's face... it's pure joy. He still just loves to play and have fun, and to rock out with another talented musician. I love that, with him, it was always about great music and great integrity. .. I can't stop coming back to this video and watching it again and again...
John Fogerty with Bruce & the E Street Band. Holy cow. As a Jersey Boy, I have a healthy reverence of Springsteen & E Street, but I’ve been listening to CCR as long as I can remember, too. A meeting of musical titans. This made my day.
These two fantastic old school boys are the reason why the you can’t listen nowadays trash music. JF is 77 yo and still one of the best and BS is 73 !! They are just legend
The most Stars & Stripes Song EVER! Proud to be a fortunate american son. From Germany, that was saved and protected by the most lovely country in the world! God bless America!
Wow! 2 Rock Legends on the same stage totally awesome! Bruce always gives it all he's got and sounds perfect doing it!!! And John's guitar and his vocal range is badass!!!
I've been listening to these guys since I was a kid. The first piece of music I bought was for my 13th birthday and It was Bruce Springsteen - Born in the U.S.A. And John Fogerty - my brothers played his music all the time when I was around the age of 5 and I've been listening to you ever since. Epic!
This music was always blood in my veines. John....you gave us one of the most important songs ever....and today you sing this wonderful number, as if you were back in the sixties. I guess, your heart still is. Just like mine....love ya and your music.
Brilliant professionals. Just marvellous. John great as usual. Bruce in top form and both backed by one of the best bands ever to walk the stage. E Street band, you rock.
This is awesome! Whatever happened to Rock n roll these days man? This level of energy, thought provoking lyrics is still spot on for 2022! Both these guys have such "in ya face" charisma and ain't taking BS from no one! This is Rock in its purest forms! Love the rawness of it!
His voice is still pure and clear. I like that he walked on stage and plugged in is guitar to the amplifier himself. The act speaks to his commitment to his craft as a singer and song writer. There will never be songs written like that ever again. John fogerty is a voice of his generation.
That’s the best version I’ve ever heard of that great song! If that doesn’t get you fired up nothing will! God bless! Those two have great chemistry on stage
One of the only voices in rock today - especially among the OG - that can hold his own power-wise on stage with Bruce. Amazing that he can still bring it like that.
Just saw John Monday night in a tiny, middle of nowhere city in Canada & he was amazing! He rocked the arena and had people up dancing and singing all night. He couldn't have put on a better show.
Hard to believe that stage had the strength to hold up all that talent without collapsing in on itself! This is a kick-ass version for sure!! Love from Albania🥰
I was always disappointed that they never had Stevie Van Zandt play the guitar on the Sopranos. I always imagined Tony walking in on Silvio strumming the guitar and saying "who da fuck you think you are, Bruce Springsteen?"

This Great song is a tribute to those whom have worked their life starting from the ground up and have stood up all the time. Hats up for them all. Thanks to John Fogerty, thanks BOSS. I'm no fortunate son...!!!!!!!!!!

There were pro-Creedence Clearwater Revival, Pro Beatles and pro-Stones, Who, Doors, Led Zeppelin and so on. .. while my sisters listened to the good French variety.I have never forgotten this unhappy period of my life.Today again I can not tell you why but I still listen with great pleasure these artists who have a great contribution and nourishment to the music that followed after the 70's Bruce Sprinsteen is the perfect example, one of the worthy heirs!
How would the boss know? I went to Nam and he dodged the draft as “4-F”. Medical deferment. Yet he can perform at top level 4 hrs a night. Hypocrite. My twin brother died there!
Great God almighty what a fantastic duet. These two guys should tour together, there's a wonderful chemistry between them. What a great rock song, performed with real balls. Loved every second of it and played it over and over...

John Fogerty has lived a lot healthier than most rock stars.

Both John and Bruce sound great for their age. Goes to show what respecting your body can do long term.

John just seems like he parked his own car, paid his own parking - then walked on stage.
He did that probably
And Bruce Springsteen had a 17 mm Wrench with him to repair the car if something broke on it.
& you're probably right..
@Slomofogo Definitely not. He is the proud father of 3 children - and a total gentleman. He is authentic but not crude.
