Those 2 Celtic/Irish boys John & Bruce know how to Rock n Roll, they have got the good old US or A and this whole works singing and dancing with joy and delight for over the past 50 years
I was there :) Apart from the joke at the end when they switch off the sound.... it was an amazing show. The Boss and the E-Street band NEVER disappoint. 3.5 hours..... the man's a machine !!!! I guess he just loves it !!
You are right They stopped the show, that's why he 'only' played 3.5 hours I saw him 2 days before in Vienna He played 3 3/4 hours I also saw him in Rome in 2016 There he played 4 hours But Hyde Park is the perfect concert location I saw the Rolling Stones there in 2013 - I will never forget this Greetings from Austria, my friend
godfather. Takes your mind off things. And only a stone throw from Albert Hall where Johnno and his Creedence crew pitched April 1971, during their brief [approx 3 yr?] but spectacular flight across the heavens of rock music.
Yess - that`s high level rock`n roll entertaining! They play it much too fast, you can`t hear John`s first solo, but it`s purely fun. And Bruce can keep up with his guitar solos - chapeau! These guys like each other. Think they show some political engagement together. So they are brothers in mind in any case. Thanks for posting!
Many artists have covered songs that others have written and made them hits. Why all the hate. Fogerty covered "I heard it through the grapevine" and made it famous. Springsteen didn't write "Jersey Girl" but made it a hit didn't he? So don't go getting off on Status Quo for doing something that ALL and mean ALL groups and singers do. They ALL COVER someone else's song at some point.
There are hundreds of reasons why STATUS QUO were/are the best and greatest Rock Band in the Universe' history and this is just one of them. As chance has it Rick Parfitt was in his car when Fogerty's version came on the radio. Rick said "Ooooh, I think we could do something with that" His QUO Bandmates were initially reluctant, though after some coaxing from Rick, the boys gave in. Note in the video that Alan Lancaster is played by a man size puppet, due to him refusing to fly from Australia where he lived. It's not QUO's biggest hit, though it is one of their biggest and most popular. On the 13th July 1985, the crowd at LIVE AID went absolutely berzerk when QUO walked out onto the stage, then they went up several levels when they opened the legendary event with "Rockin' All Over The World" It is one of only a few QUO songs that Rick plays Lead Guitar. It's a great song and QUO give it a lot of energy. RIP - Rick and Alan
+Willie Idle It reminds me of my father: jeans + plaid shirt is his default outfit. He once told me his ideal dressing style was "American engineer" (he works with trains in a different capacity, in a different country); but after some careful examination, I think he got that mixed up and his actual style icon is John Fogerty.
Quo's version is just as good, but this is OTR&R music playable by anyone with talent, it's the worlds music, the Sacred Music, and belongs to everyone willing to listen, quit arguing and just enjoy some of the best music ever done by mankind !!!
@@dutchreagan3676 Yes, I am aware that it's a Fogerty tune. I think John Fogerty is a genius and this is a great song. I just prefer what Quo have done with it. Just personal opinion.
Ever heard the Original John Fogerty 45? Quo did nothing about this song, the only got all the worldwide fame.Quo should have been ashamed, to even record this song.Knowing that Fogerty was in battle with his old record company (Fantasy) about his singer/songwriting contract. To be short Fogerty didn't earn a penny on royalties on his own song.
Status Quo sings this songs very good but it is John"s song and if he has dosent write it so has Status Quo never has theres biggest hit. John Fogerty was under a time is his life when he not feel so good but he write this nr 1 hit anyway and that tell us at John can write Nr 1 hits that many people remember. Proud Mary,Fortunate Son,Rockin All Over The World,Almost Saturday Night,Centerfield,Have You Ever Seen The Rain is some songs that many nows and its from one and only man and thats is big. Status Quo version is like I said very good but its a cover and if John and many more artist never has written many songs so hasn't Staus Quo got so big in this wold I think.
Such a game of Bullshit and writing if the Status quo had not made a cover of Rockin´all over the world, that number would never have received the same attention as it has got in Europe.
Jos Zomer Yep.... but the combined talents of Springsteen and Fogerty don't come anywhere near the brilliance of Status Quo's live interpretation of this great song. In my opinion of course.
Absolutely fantastic
Two GREAT heroes
One of the best songs ever written
I love watching legends playing together and just "loving it".
this isx Big very Good

Amazing performance!
First show I ever saw-- was flying by this point
This sounded so much better live than this recording makes out. It was incredible.
This sounds pretty damn good as far as I'm concerned, so seeing and hearing it live must have been otherworldly. :)

They upped the tempo a notch. Unreal energy.

Yes.. and Manfred Mann's Earth Band had the mega hit "Blinded By the Light".. originally done by Bruce Springsteen..
😢Tina Turner and manny others covered Proud Mary.
John wrote it.
Just wow - this is WAY better than any live performance w/ Status Quo. Period.
Of course you see the orginal singer/songwriter John Fogerty and his background singer & fan Bruce Springsteen
Bollocks. It's nowhere near as good as Parfitt.
thank you!!!
Impecável !!!!
Yeahhhh...und Kenny Aronoff on drums, Hammer...!!!
Che meraviglia!!!🤸🤸🤼🤼🤼🤸🤸😀😀😍😍😘😘🎶🎶🎶🎶💎💎💎🎸🎸🎸💋💋

I think he got that spot on.

Johns guitar....fuck yeah.
quiero saber hasta donde puedes llegar y si tienes con que.
Good
Sounds like a lot in the crowd are Status Quo fans as well being John Fogerty and Bruce Springsteen fans.
No many off the crowd knew the master was singing "his"song John Fogerty.
uh?.. fogerty wrote this song some 10 years or so before those other guys tried it...
Every time SQ plays that song they have to pay JCF his royalties....
Quo's version is just as good, but this is OTR&R music playable by anyone with talent, it's the worlds music, the Sacred Music, and belongs to everyone willing to listen, quit arguing and just enjoy some of the best music ever done by mankind !!!
I was there...
Why was Bruce "Booed" ....what am I missing here?!
Ahhh ...my mistake, they're shouting: "BRUUUUUUUUUCE" ☝🏼😬
So. Fogerty opened for Bruce that day?
puta que pariu show, foda os dois, john e bruce.
2 stars .
Excellent stuff!!! Two great rock gods!!! having said that, I think Quo do it better ;)
SQ has to work harder cuz they have to pay John royalties for WRITING the song. It's a Fogerty tune!
@@dutchreagan3676 Yes, I am aware that it's a Fogerty tune. I think John Fogerty is a genius and this is a great song. I just prefer what Quo have done with it. Just personal opinion.
Fogerty maravilloso pero mejor la versión STATUS QUO
Es de John originalmente; SQ es una copia!
This was sung/played like John Fogerty’s version. When Bruce plays this song it’s totally different
play faster! play faster!
The Quo all day long
yes, Quo`s version is much more groovin`!
Quo covers it beautifully and I'm sure Fogerty appreciates the royalties, but how would Quo have done with the song if John hadn't written it?
F***ing right, Quo's version is way much much much better

arhhh my ears are bleeding
Elvis was, and remains, the greatest Rock 'n' Roller of all time.
Marakesh7 ok? John is the pimp daddy of swamp rock
I thought this was by the Blue Ridge Rangers
jorg winterer that’s the name of John Fogertys solo album
@@_cloudiiskxy_158 And it's NOT on the BBR album either; it's on John's self-titled album from 1975
Sounds like he says Boose not Bruce!!! LOL
Crowd are singing Quo's version 😉
Sorry Status Quo fans..... John Fogerty wrote this ❤️
Good
Kenny aranow?...
Yep, it's Kenny Aronoff :-)
With Doug Clifford it would have been better
Fogerty is way much better as songwriter.
I like your post...Fogerty has a deeper appreciation for music than Bruce. Both are great in their own ways...
Yes, Fogerty is one of my personal idols of all time. I like him better.
I love CCR too but they were around for ten minutes compared to Springsteen. Great songs, but Fogerty said it best in his introduction of The Boss.
TheBearBiffo ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
And your question is?
Flannel shirts
Who'd have thought. Springsteen + Fogerty
You know that this is written by John Fogerty ??
Jos Zomer Yep.... but the combined talents of Springsteen and Fogerty don't come anywhere near the brilliance of Status Quo's live interpretation of this great song. In my opinion of course.
BookimCrocker The Quo are great cover performers, no question about it. I'll take Bruce and John any day.
I prefer this to Status Quo
