Great video thanks 😁 It helps to put a washer on the abs sensor next to the bolt.. their videos on RUclips about it because its the sensor ring on the drive shaft that's caused the problem. it is rusting up and swelling up and rubbing on the sensor.. and if your doing this get a proper jack and Axel stands 👍👍..
Hello, i've same error code with bimmerlink "Wheel speed sensor front left and tire puncture", there isn't tire puncture, do you think it's just an ABS sensor ?
On your tester said with side you have to change it, I been at the garage and he said to me ‘he didn’t know witch side is! That could be possible or just he lie to me ?
Hi, I’m getting the same warning lights after having the abs sensor replaced. The car will start with no warning lights and then after five minutes the warning lights reappear. During the five minutes I get the yellow triangle/A warning light that puts the car into like a limp mode for splits of a second, I don’t suppose you know why this is?
It’s because you didn’t chNge your reluctor ring so it’s still hitting as it’s expanded because of corrosion, I’d suggest putting a washer in between the connection of the abs sensor to the rotar that way there is no possible way the ring can hit your abs sensor.
Can the ABS wire be vandalised? I had to change mine 3 time in about 18 months. I didn’t ask the garage but now I’m thinking maybe someone deliberately cut the wires.
Theres another common problem with 1 series, where the O-Ring on the wheel swells and activates a fault with the ABS Sensor and flashes a tire error too. It's a pain. An Independant BMW garage can just change the O-Ring and reset the fault, but a dealership will want to replace the drive shaft. Unfortunately with mine they can't get the O-Ring off as it's stuck apparently so I've a more costly repair to set up.
My car will turn on and drive fine for 5 mins then I get the same dash lights.. but they keep going off then back on again.. the run flat light appears sometimes too. the first time the lights to appear the engine idles differently, runs a bit lumpy and sounds a bit different. I cant seem to get a code? any idea what this may be? The first time this all appeared is when the rear left wheel hit a pothole.. hard!
You didn't show how to change the sensor in the back of the hub that is what I am looking for

FOLLOWED YOURR VIDEO . CHANGED THE SENSOR THE RING AND THE LIGHT IS STILL ON. cOULD IT BE A CHEAP ABS SENSOR OR A PROBLEM WITH THE CONNECTOR?

@@JetBrink where is the O ring? Do you mean "Car Drive Shaft ABS Ring" or sometimes called "Reluctor ring"?

i have the same unit but it just says communication error when i click on that option??
Had exactly the same problem. Tech support were unable to resolve the issue even with the V5.9 software (June 2016)
