I’ve been tig welding for about 3 years on different jon boats for friends and family. I was wondering what your process for cleaning paint and whatnot of a boat before you weld on it.
Glad im not the only one whos disappointed in aluminum construction. Thankfully we got you on that ass, calling out there bs. Always enjoy your work, and your language 🤣 Happy Thanksgiving!
LMAO!!! Hammered Dogshit!!! We need a shirt like that! What an awesome CLEAN job you did there. I have NEVVVERRRRRR seen anyone ever bring a tin rig back from he dead to this level. I don't think people understand how many others would have told the customer dude just trash it because there's no hope for this thing, and you just rolled up your sleeves, got back to work and now this boat is better than new (if they're still building them that irresponsibly crappy!) and will live on for another 10+years!
That's an excellent idea for a shirt, homie! I might just take you up on it! That's the difference in an experienced builder "who knows how to build shit" vs an engineer, "who learned how to build shit from a book"
That boat was most likely used by the USDA. They have a section that deals with invasive animals. The trailer is from Gootees in MD where the USDA did a bunch of Nutria eradication.
That's the way transoms should be built from the factory. So much stronger and doesn't rot. I personally like the front deck being a little lower with about 6 inches of sideboard. I've kicked so many things off of the front deck over the years. No telling how much money I've lost. That also comes from not having proper storage with access in a boat, too.
Sea Ark doesn’t have near the Quality of WELDBILT. What the heck has happened to our boating manufacturers. The government requires, demands and requires zero Quality of vendors! Sad 😔
My money is on you Matt, I'm sure you'll get it done.... wtf man, they couldn't pull the bricks outta there or hose the mud out... the fight suckered, I lost some respect
Nice Work! She’s a keeper.

That makes sense

You need a 60 wide for a cc in my opinion

I agree. I usually go 3" though. You need as much depth as possible for storage. Its always tight for batteries, and livewell in the Jon's.
Pimp shit man keep being you 💯
Thanks brotha
This looks like hammered dog shit... lol love the commentary.
Hammered dog shit is a technical welding term lol.

The problem is America has to step their game up in the production and manufacturing industry. We are falling behind.
