Awesome job!! A very useful addition to this build would be to enclose the fan chasis entirely with additional chicken wire to keep debris from being pulled into the fan and protect the blades from damage plus to protect from personal injury by the moving motor parts.
Rubber wedges should have been placed under the engine connection bolts. The engine, which was placed on a poor quality platform, became even more dangerous with vibrations.

I love these kinds of builds. Great stuff. I build a lot of fishing canoes in West Africa myself. All the polyester used on this project won't last long in the water. With only one air chamber, the polyester will start rotting from condensation. A small leak between layers and the boat will sink. We always foam the inside to make it unsinkable.
@MrGentlebutfirm, please be aware that the material deteriorates rapidly once delamination begins in saltwater. While it may not completely dissolve, it will disintegrate. Fortunately, repairs are part of our company's services.
@@ewaldmaas5790 Please explain the break down steps more carefully, so I get your message! Why would the laminate be prone to delamination? Polyester even - and epoxy too are rather water resistant. So what is so bad about condensation?
Small boats made of polyester are built in layers. These boats usually have a wooden construction covered with polyester. If the first layers are damaged, water will seep into the layers. Polyester also doesn't do well in hot environments because it's not very flexible. In a factory setting, a boat is made entirely of polyester in a controlled environment, so the results are much different. But even then, it doesn't like West Africa very much. Epoxy works better but is very expensive. We only use it for certain repairs and protective topcoats.
Thank you for sending me this wonderful video, my dear friend. I enjoy these techniques, which are wonderful and very beautiful. This innovative thing is also my hobby. Thank you very much, my dear brother.

Each two liter bottle provides 4 pounds of bouyancy. Also if you can - baffle the pontoons into three compartments for same reason. I was impressed with the propellor making and set up - but i could utilize a standard outboard motor better. Simply reinforce the stern board and a backing plate. It also provides greater internal space. That would simplify the entire build. Id use marine wood as stringers for mor comfortable flooring. Perhaps internal width to match standard flotation boat cushions. You could epoxy in lifting points for a crane hoist... and also add in mountings for a bimini top. Im wondering how many layers would be necessary for rough waters. I could see a thin layer one breaking up in waves. All in all nice build!

I wish I could speak your language, you are a great boat craftsman, screw any negative comments you may get, I’d just like to talk “boats” and techniques with you for a couple days, I have a hull made but just can’t decide where to go,with it yet. By the way, I’ve used epoxe resin this far, what is your thoughts on using polyester resin on the inside???? Have you ever done this? Did it hold up or does poly not bond well epoxe??? I know what all the books say and what people may spout off….im curious what a real boat craftsman might say.
I have done small and big glass fibering jobs for boats several decades: EPOXY will bond to the polyester laminates, if it is old and fully cured. Always use the same resin through the new laminates, if possible. For polyester laminates use polyester based TOPCOAT for smoothing the outer layer, but when cured, you may later use EPOXY PAINT or POLYURETHANE paint over topcoat, but make sure TOPCOAT does not contain WAX ! Then you need to wash it with ACETONE and use at least one epoxy layer before ANY OTHER paint. IF you can afford, use only EPOXY for laminating, EPXOXY for primer paint, POLYURETHANE paint for final layer. Reparing old laminate: most secure way is to use EPOXY system, if you use POLYESTER resin and cloth to repair old POLYESTER- GLASS structure, it will be weaker than using EPOXY repair, so you would need to use MORE polyester resin and glass than with the epoxy repair. Ask more from your local boat repair shops. IF any doubt: USE EPOXY
