Well I watched the video, read the comments, and re-watched the video, twice. I must say the whole job leaves me speechless. He took the lower part of an old hulk and added sides, transom and tunnel shaft drive to it. REMARKABLE. I've been in the boat building/restoration activity for 40+ years and I learned things I never thought of before in the one 25 minute video. The whole project was wonderful. I really like the finished boat and agree with some others that I would love to have this river boat. Thank you for the video, I know the time it takes to edit this to 25 minutes is huge..outstanding. 80 y/o Westerner from USA.
If duplicating the work in the United States this project would cost over $50,000 U.S., i.e. twice the cost of buying a used boat in perfect condition built in a factory..
This man has talent, machining all his own pieces, all the fiber glass work, all reinforced with the half pvc and glassing it all in, well done sir any river dweller would be proud to own it.
This guy is obviously not just some simple backyard DIY person...he is magnificently proficient in many varied skills including fiberglass moulding and arc welding
Exactly. Clearly well trained somewhere and he has the tools needed to fabricate everything. Despite the setting, he is NOT some humble villager. And what Asian village happens to have a flatbed crane truck conveniently available.
Wow, this was almost like building a new boat from scratch. His channel makes enough cash to pay for this project. He doesn't need to make a profit with this boat.
In Vietnam, you can pretty much buy anything online or at a local shop without any hassle. I believe he's different from the rest because he's willing to take the leap and embrace the risks. When it comes to his skills, most repair guys in small shops can handle it, even without any formal training. You can see for yourself-there are tons of RUclips videos showing this kind of work, and a lot of them are made by Vietnamese people

Have to agree with you. 50 years of messing about with boats, both power and sail, welder, millwright, machinist. The skills of some 2nd and 3rd world mechanics put ours to shame. Most things we buy ready made solutions for, they cobble together from bits n pieces and do a wonderful serviceable job of it. Strange looking design for a boat but that's their style and it works for them. I wonder if they do larger yacht types for customers.
Out of nowhere this light boat...suddenly it became a very nice ship after the Magnificent work and challenges to face that were resolved in the process!! Congratulations! Lima Capital.
