I used to live just down the road from this guy. His workshop is near Wistow in Leicestershire. I'd sometimes go by and see him driving a tank around his land just for fun.

You guys are crushing it with this tank. Not to mention this baby was ridden hard and put away wet 80 years ago. I won't complain when I have to work on my 69 Firebird 400; I'm sure that tank has bolts that weigh more than my Muncie 4-speed. Everything is so big and heavy, not to mention the huge surface areas for prep and paint. You guys are awesome and heroes to all veterans for restoring this beast for future generations to enjoy!

When I was 13, there was a 1st generation Firebird in town that was black on black with Crager S/S rims (deep dish ones on the back and jacked up in the back). It also had a vanity license plate on the front that said “AWESOME” underlined with a lightning bolt. It was love at first sight but I had a 1970 Chevelle SS in high school, black on black with Cragers. It took 20 more years to get the Firebird.

This is a beauty, really amazing work and the attention to detail. I love tanks, thats all I worked on while in the Army from M60, M1A2, M113, M2A2, M88, M109, M901, M543, and a few others I cant think of right now if it had trackes I worked on it to include just about every wheeled vehicle when I didnt have a tank to work on. M1 was my speciality.
Damn, what an absolute monster. These restorators definitely know how to do their job excellently, wish everyone had this insane level of professionalism.

I was watching this on display and then manoeuvring in the arena at Bovington at “Tiger Day” just a few days ago! It’s when you see this machine close up that you can truly appreciate its enormous size. This is a fantastic video that shows all the very hard work that went into the restoration. @@shark507shark2 Это выражение такое) Понятное дело что пушка у FV4005 является танковой, просто 183 танковый калибр на тот момент времени был чем-то запредельным, это была самая мощная пушка в мире. Чисто из-за калибра называю эту пушку корабельной. Так как 183 калибр как раз таки относился к корабельной артиллерии 🙂

Had no idea that the $hitbarn had actually ever been built. This is amazing. The work, knowledge, time and money to complete such a task is incredible. I know what it takes just to break, remove, and replace tracks on a D9 dozer, not a small job. Love to see what's left inside the 4005. Fantastic job, impressive..
Fun fact: y'know how in video games it's named as "FV 4005 Stage II"? That's right, its because there actually is a Stage I, without the enclosed turret and (theoretically) faster reload. Imagine if WT/WOT added that in-game

Whatever the idea behind the giant gon on a perfectly good tank got me, but ya beautiful restoration especially with what you had to work with, and to make it drivable, a wonderful piece of work.
Do some reading, it's an anti tank gun on steroids. It's purpose, to take out big heavily armoured tanks with sloped armour. The type being fielded by the U.S.S.R. This role was taken over by the use of AT rockets and Rocket artillery.
I got to 7 minutes before that awful music distracted me sufficiently to pause what is otherwise a fantastic project. Come on guys, you can do better. This is the UK, not some remote part of the US
@@murph19611 It's preferable content creators learn from their intended audience I would say. You shouldn't have to 'adjust' how you consume content because the creators thought they were being clever by appealing to a larger US audience
@@murph19611 If i have to make settings changes then it proves the video has failed to do it's job and the content creator has failed to do their job. I should be able to just click on a thumbnail and enjoy the video, no volume changes, not settings changes nothing. Video fails otherwise and get's downvoted and a negative comment.
Always give your 100℅ because you never know when and where your moment will come. This mindset emphasizes the importance of being consistent and giving your best effort ever when the results are not immediately visible

You guys are crushing it with this tank. Not to mention this baby was ridden hard and put away wet 80 years ago.
I won't complain when I have to work on my 69 Firebird 400; I'm sure that tank has bolts that weigh more than my Muncie 4-speed. Everything is so big and heavy, not to mention the huge surface areas for prep and paint. You guys are awesome and heroes to all veterans for restoring this beast for future generations to enjoy!
There was a orange 69 Firebird 400 at a dealership I worked at 50 years ago. Never forgotten.

When I was 13, there was a 1st generation Firebird in town that was black on black with Crager S/S rims (deep dish ones on the back and jacked up in the back). It also had a vanity license plate on the front that said “AWESOME” underlined with a lightning bolt. It was love at first sight but I had a 1970 Chevelle SS in high school, black on black with Cragers. It took 20 more years to get the Firebird.
They are actually very entertaining to watch in their inter-personal relationships. You can tell they are all good friends doing something they love. Well done lads.
This is a beauty, really amazing work and the attention to detail. I love tanks, thats all I worked on while in the Army from M60, M1A2, M113, M2A2, M88, M109, M901, M543, and a few others I cant think of right now if it had trackes I worked on it to include just about every wheeled vehicle when I didnt have a tank to work on. M1 was my speciality.

I was watching this on display and then manoeuvring in the arena at Bovington at “Tiger Day” just a few days ago! It’s when you see this machine close up that you can truly appreciate its enormous size. This is a fantastic video that shows all the very hard work that went into the restoration. @@shark507shark2 Это выражение такое) Понятное дело что пушка у FV4005 является танковой, просто 183 танковый калибр на тот момент времени был чем-то запредельным, это была самая мощная пушка в мире.
Чисто из-за калибра называю эту пушку корабельной. Так как 183 калибр как раз таки относился к корабельной артиллерии 🙂

Had no idea that the $hitbarn had actually ever been built. This is amazing. The work, knowledge, time and money to complete such a task is incredible. I know what it takes just to break, remove, and replace tracks on a D9 dozer, not a small job. Love to see what's left inside the 4005. Fantastic job, impressive..

Whatever the idea behind the giant gon on a perfectly good tank got me, but ya beautiful restoration especially with what you had to work with, and to make it drivable, a wonderful piece of work.
This is not a tank at all, its a kind of a howitzer
Do some reading, it's an anti tank gun on steroids. It's purpose, to take out big heavily armoured tanks with sloped armour. The type being fielded by the U.S.S.R. This role was taken over by the use of AT rockets and Rocket artillery.
