Awesome job looks good. Love to see them get the turf done and yes, you are getting very very good at that. Awesome to see it. Get done. Just unreal what it does to a boat to have that turf installed
Great motor for spotlock fishing. Ffs is a no-go without a separate controlled mount. Footpedal is shit. You'll spend a lot of time looking at the head of the trolling motor to see direction.
Do you ever have a problem with soft floors in a 2072 when cutting holes for big hatches? I already cut holes to remove foam I’m just hesitant about cutting them bigger
Im assuming you mean decks but no. My Hatches are built tuff. If you use my hatches you'll be fine. Id recommend 20" x 20", or even 24" x 24" for rear deck hatches in a 2072
I have the same boat. I am trying to figure out rather to use a molded diamond or cut grove hydro turf in the swamp camo pattern to install my self given that I have limited but capable experience which do you recommend?
The workmanship on the 1860CC is very impressive. But, how does removing all that foam affect the level floatation of the boat? Will it affect the Coast Guard cargo max rating? I'm guessing that the foam that was removed would have displaced about 350 pounds of water, about the weight of that Merc 90.
I dont think you understand how foam works. It's make no difference on level flotation or Displacement. Only purpose is to keep the boat from sinking if it gets swamped.
@@TRICKEDTINS Sinking was my concern. If swamped, the foam is supposed to keep the boat from sinking and placement of the foam is supposed to keep it level. Most of the foam is at the stern to support the motor in a swamped boat. As I understand it, the max persons weight and max cargo weight factors in the max weight that the boat can support when swamped. Side note, some Lowe/Crestliner modified-V boat warranties are voided if a jack-plate is used. I've been given two explanations for this: 1. The transom isn't strong enough to support the added leverage applied by a motor on a setback plate. 2. The floatation foam layout in these boats won't keep a swamped boat level (by Coast Guard requirements) with a motor on a setback plate -- it may squat too much. (I suspect #1 is the main reason.)
I have been seriously considering the Grizzly 1754 tiller as a second rig for rivers and small water. Part of my interest in this boat is ability to customize it with kits that you offer. But, the trapped water that you have found in the 1860 is disappointing. Do you see this in Grizzly 1754 and 1648 boats? Is there a brand of 17' mod-V tiller boats that impress you more than Grizzlys?
Another badass build keep doing great things glad Austin is coming back full time !!
Class great to see your mate coming back to u✌️🎣
Man... its a blessing! 🙏🙏🙏
Excellent work as always bro.
Thanks homie
so wish i could get you to install the back deck kit on my Tracker Grizzly 1754 so i could have some storage
Bring it to me

What’s your thoughts on the terrova trolling motor?

You were crashing out about that framing😂😂
It really bothers me when people don't do thier job.
@ I know… you’d figure that the boat manufacturer would actually do it right

Diamond is impossible to line up. I won't touch the stuff.
I have a love hate relationship with my tracker, they were so close to getting right lol when mine needs redone I’m going to make it right.
That's the only way to do it!
I’m looking at getting this exact boat, What would parts and labor be out the door for turf job and the hatch’s in the stern?
