Jeez that was a lot of welding 😳 Can’t believe he was still running it with that gaping hole 😳. Glad you help him out that was really unsafe situation . I actually like these jobs thrown into the video mix. I think it good for your channel.
Thanks brotha. Repairs suck but they pay good and are usually quick. Truth is i don't even know of a shop that would take this job around here. Chances are it would be some friend of a friend of a "welder" 😆 🤣 😂
I have a thumb control on my torch and a footpedal. I switch between them depending on the situation. I feel like i have more control with the footpedal, but thumb control is better for tight spaces.
Thanks. The main cause is incorrect placement. Trailer bunks hold the weight of the boat, and the winch eye is for tie down only. I think this one failed bc he doesn't use transom tie down straps! Blows my mind. Transom straps keep boat and trailer tight, (1piece),so the trailer absorbs stress of road trips. Without them the boat bounces on the trailer every bump, or pot hole. Such a simple theory. That's why you have trailer leaf springs! Make sure your boat is secure to the trailer, and let the trailer serve its purpose!
@ Thanks for the heads up! Typically I just run a strap over the back to the trailer and over the center to the trailer also holding my mud motor down. It is on two back bunks and a center wheel for the front mod V Think that’s enough? And my bow eye it makes contact but with boat not sure if it’s to much. Time will tell !
You know a lot about welding, my hands off to you. You got a lot of patience. You do excellent work.
Thanks Steve
Awsome job man as always
I appreciate that

Awesome man. This is the type of feedback I need. Most of the time I don't bother filming stuff like this, but I figured what the hell.
I have an 1989 spectrum 1708! Love your vids
Thanks brotha
Awesome patch bruh! Usually out here in cali . If they get that bad we gut out the hull and turn up side down. use it as a roof for a Tiki bar.
That sounds awesome!
Wow that thing was destroyed awesome repair job good work
Thanks brotha! I've never seen one this far gone in my life. Dude needed 3 bilge pumps and a bucket lol
Awesome job!
Thanks brotha
Excellent work!
Thanks brotha

Yessir
That is a bad ass job bro
So much work and negligence is to blame...
Repair jobs would be interesting and keep the content fresh and different.
Thanks for the feedback. Ill keep them coming
I think you did 1 hell of a job on this repair. My 91 Alumacraft did the same thing, but I didn't let mine get that bad.

@TRICKEDTINS correct!
Nice welding skills.
Thanks brotha I've paid my due lol. 23yrs experience doesn't come easy!
That’s a miracle
Hahaha thanks brotha
Is your volt/amp control on the torch? Great repair

What causes a bow eye to fail like that driving onto trailer or not trailering it right ? I wanna prevent that for mine. Great video !

Nice fix
Thanks brotha!
its okay. I have a 1980 Bass Tracker 3 that I've been working on... Mine didn't have the best previous owner.
I've seen a few of those. Never one in good shape lol
How thin was that aluminum 🤣. Great repair for what you had to work with 🔥
Thanks brotha. Maybe .080 at most. Probably thinner
Damn, when i first saw what needed fixing, I thought you might just cut the whole bottom of the hull off the bow...lol... 👍
Hahaha probably should of just took it to the scrapyard 😆
Let’s get to work
Yessir
What a nightmare lol
You ain't lying, homie! We the boat Gods, tho. 😝🤪😅🤣🤣🙌🙌🙌
