    I got the same sight a few weeks ago for my Elite KURE. Its amazing for me. I set my pins at 20 30 40 for hunting so i dont have to fool around with ranging the deers every move and trying to fool around with a sight tape.
    When it comes to the slider part of the sight, i use my top pin for all ranges. Was shooting the white goat at 100 yards last night with it actually. Low light and shooting at that distance i wont tell how my groups were, but i did hit the target every time haha.

    great video as always, although 4 sights in 1 is pushing it. 🙂
    something worth mentioning is how well this adapts from L-R/R-L that it is nearly ambidextrous. My first CBE sight because i have been waiting over 35 years for a TRUE micro-adjustable set of pins. Bought the LH version due to a great deal and after examing it I am about to mount it on my RH bow today and start the sight-in process.

    I use a 1/4" since the inside of your peep & the outside ring of your sight don't have to line up. Your brain will center the sight which is smaller in your line of sight compared to your peep. Kind of the same way your brain will give u better accuracy with a EZV sight when it comes to not having as many stray arrows going left or right.

    Have the CBE Engage Hybrid single pin and love it. Looking at a 3 pin for hunting and possibly hunter class target shooting. Any insights after having the sight for a year? Still enjoy it? Also, any concerns with using a dovetail sight for hunting? Often hear that having that longer extension adds to potential woes while hunting from an elevated position.

    • @averagejackarchery
      @averagejackarchery  2 года назад +1

      Absolutely still love it. Shoot it every day on my target rig. Took it out yesterday for my first unknown 3D shoot in almost a year and it was fantastic. Killed all my deer with it last year too on my hunting bow. Zero complaints other than the weight. But, duh. It's an all metal, high quality sight. I shoot with it on a middle hole and it's nowhere near overextended or longer than any standard mount sight. Never had an issue with the dovetail mount while hunting. It'll still be one my bows for many years to come.

      The whole front of the sight mount has to be removed to just give you the bar and respective axis'. Then, you have to get the target scope mounting block that will fit the CBE bar. Individual pins “micro adjustment” is numb feeling and difficult to measure how much movement you are adding to pins position(lack of score marks). Had one other CBE sight before this one (TL7) and was a little better but also disappointing. Left and right would walk and wife had to pain the sight ring fluorescent orange to make it consistent for locating in peep. The metal sight tapes are REALLY nice tho.

    Just bought this sight and I’m having trouble sighting it in. I am using the 3 pin and would like to have my pins centered in the housing. I used my last pin as a floater and marked at 30 and 60 yards and got my gap. Then I matched it with the sight tape gage. Got #11. When I slapped the sight tape on the arrow did not match with the 60 yard mark and then had to bottom pretty much all my pins down. What am I doing wrong?

    • @averagejackarchery
      @averagejackarchery  3 года назад +1

      Sight tapes only work off the speed calculating down. Meaning the gaps from 20-30-40-etc. Meaning you have to find the speeds for your top pin only, based on how it would work as a slider. Then, you sight in your bottom pin for 40. Now you can use the 40 as a slider and find what sight tape works for the 40-50-60-etc gaps, and use THAT tape. Mode the pin indicator down to 40, and boom, you're all set.

AJA always had some of the best reviews and explanations of gear and was attractive based on no brand pushing or agenda based on sponsorships. Looks like that’s history. If I think something is useless, I don't continue to use it. If I feel something is overpriced for what it is, I stop using it or recommending it. I'll never say "brand x" is the best. Do I enjoy certain things more than others? Absolutely. Just like everyone else. The color matching and whatnot is a by product of finally having nice clothes to wear. Lol.
