Wow...what memories this 80's era music brings back for me, I miss it more than anything else in my past!! This is when concerts were worth seeing and going to. I loved watching these guys perform live.
My life goes on much better being able to listen to this great rock. We are truly blessed to still be able to listen to so many fantastic bands from the 80's and early 90's. A great song to sing along with. Beautiful!!
32 years ago I sat in my bedroom learning every note of this song on guitar and now.. well I've forgotten how to play it but it's still a masterpiece. The solo gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
I dedicate this song to my childhood home that I moved out of when I was 10. We were forced to move out of it and I never been the same since. I still to this day miss that house beyond any words I can describe. Even almost 35 years later. Ming from Tulsa, Oklahoma on June 2, 2024 at 3:06AM.
I feel ya, man. Shit happens, And nothing'll change that. But as the song says Life goes On and it totally sucks.😞💔 And it's OK to feel that loss. Take care, my dude. Rock on. 🤘
My childhood home ( almost 31 years ) still resonates in my heart... Parents siblings friends neighbour's ( including God who lived up the street )..... When society was more normal & the pagan barbarians had not invaded yet.
I've long considered this one of the best, most haunting guitar solos in Rock! And the track's a killer too! Glad to see so many others share my sentiment about this song and this solo! Thank you Poison, and thank you C.C. DeVille.
I felt this before now I feel it again No matter how hard I try This feeling won't end So I pretend you're here by my side Tonight on this lonely ride Keep telling myself that Life goes on while you're miles away And I need you Time rolls on as night steals the day There's nothing I can do You heal up my wounds I tasted your tears You spilled out your heart So I let out my fears But one fear that I kept to myself How I prayed that you'd love no one else Like you're saying you love me Life goes on while you're miles away And I need you Time rolls on as night steals the day There's nothing I can do If you only knew how much I miss you When my mind plays these tricks on me It shows me things I don't want to see That's why I tell myself now I keep telling myself now Just take another piece of me Life goes on while you're miles away And I need you Time rolls on as night steals the day There's nothing I can do Life goes on you're still miles away And I need you And this last mile I travel with you
CC played the greatest rock n' roll guitar solo ever recorded in "talk dirty to me" Nothing else even came close, by him or anybody else, it isn't by accident that the"obligatory guitar solo" is thankfully DOA, honestly this one is a boring waste of song time, like all the other ones
To everyone who comments with "I'm not a Poison fan, but I love this song", or anything along those lines, who are you kidding? Just admit that you like Poison! It's alright to dig Poison's music. Please stop with the guilty pleasure crap! Poison Rock's!
@@djay6651 lol, seen them so many times i cannot count. I met bret here in michigan on a solo tour. Sat on the steps of his bus and bullshitted for a few minutes. Such a down to earth guy.
OMG... Out of all of their songs this one captures the most unrealized memories that unfolds on a subconscious level when I close my eyes and listen.. it also as I trip out at my emotions in my body my throat tightens sadness washes over at a compound of memories washing over but not exactly at one particular thing 'that I could say' This song is very masterful ly created and composed and we never knew it or would have ever thought..back then. There are other love songs from poison, but do not have that effect on me. Does anybody feel the same way, that this song really touches in deep to the body , I mean if you grew up in the 80s?
It's because this song is about anything but life really going on. It talks about memories and bad feelings that keep coming back to you and you just can't avoid them. You keep going but your life doesn't really go on cuz you're stuck with all that shit insinde of you.
This is one of those You Tube videos that just blows my mind how it doesn't have over a 100 million views. One of the best power ballads ever. This whole band is underrated for their musical and songwriting abilities.
CC just gave us one of the greatest electric guitar solos in rock history....his classical training mixed with his rocking and raw talent just can't be matched. He is among the greats with Eddie Van Halen, Steve Vai, Neal Schon and Vito Bratta. I think CC is the only one out of the 5 that can make his guitar and us cry. They all have their particular strengths, but CC Deville is special- he can go from his outrageous solo in "Nothing but a Good Time" to his earnest solo in "Something to Believe In". I always think it is funny that supposed armchair fans call guitarists like Slash or Richie Sambora incredible- slash is bluesy but not particularly talented. he is not a "great" nor is Sambora. CC and Bratta deserve more credit for their incredible contribution to modern music.
I was not born in the 80s but I got a story about this song so when I was in middle school I use to get bullied a lot and I remember one day coming home crying and the tv was on with this song and i was listing, to this song and something told me everything gonna be alright, and man that feeling did come true and now I'm living my best life.
We used to play their songs...eons later..this song still sounds fresh. Bands like Ratt,Skid row,Poison and maybe Crue were amazing bands with amazin vocals and guitarists...cc was so underrated

ikr
Magnificent song! One of the best guitar solos in the world.
My life goes on much better being able to listen to this great rock. We are truly blessed to still be able to listen to so many fantastic bands from the 80's and early 90's. A great song to sing along with. Beautiful!!
Thank you CC!!!!!!You are my favorite guitarist in the world!
CC Deville what a underrated guitar player.....Great song!!!

One Of The Best Solo EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
Imo, power ballads are amongst the best songs known to man!
32 years ago I sat in my bedroom learning every note of this song on guitar and now.. well I've forgotten how to play it but it's still a masterpiece. The solo gives me goosebumps every time I hear it.
this solo...what a piece of inspiration. Thank you CC DeVille, wherever you may be.
What an amazing song and that solo still moves me
CCs Guitar Solo is nuthin' short of AWESOME !!!! Great Song...
Rest in peace Glenn Thomas Stanley. My father. Husband to my wonderful mother, and son of God.
C.C.'s solo on this cut is awesome still one of my favorite songs recorded by my top 10 bands..... talent! at its finest!
One of the best guitar solos.
I've long considered this one of the best, most haunting guitar solos in Rock! And the track's a killer too! Glad to see so many others share my sentiment about this song and this solo!
Thank you Poison, and thank you C.C. DeVille.
2 :32 One of the Best Real Guitar Solo EVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Feeling,,Attitudes & Passion,,That was is About guitar,,,
I felt this before now I feel it again
No matter how hard I try
This feeling won't end
So I pretend you're here by my side
Tonight on this lonely ride
Keep telling myself that
Life goes on while you're miles away
And I need you
Time rolls on as night steals the day
There's nothing I can do
You heal up my wounds
I tasted your tears
You spilled out your heart
So I let out my fears
But one fear that I kept to myself
How I prayed that you'd love no one else
Like you're saying you love me
Life goes on while you're miles away
And I need you
Time rolls on as night steals the day
There's nothing I can do
If you only knew how much I miss you
When my mind plays these tricks on me
It shows me things I don't want to see
That's why I tell myself now
I keep telling myself now
Just take another piece of me
Life goes on while you're miles away
And I need you
Time rolls on as night steals the day
There's nothing I can do
Life goes on you're still miles away
And I need you
And this last mile I travel with you
@ missdarlene7 Thank You so much for the lyrics to this Song ❤Sincerely Darlene an American Girl who has a thing for drummers ❤❤❤
Poison"s feathers shined very bright on this tune just fantastic !
So glad people recognize CC for his virtuosity
CC played the greatest rock n' roll guitar solo ever recorded in "talk dirty to me" Nothing else even came close, by him or anybody else, it isn't by accident that the"obligatory guitar solo" is thankfully DOA, honestly this one is a boring waste of song time, like all the other ones
C.C. DEVILLE IS AWESOME AT SOLOS FOR POISON HE ROCKS!!!!
To everyone who comments with "I'm not a Poison fan, but I love this song", or anything along those lines, who are you kidding? Just admit that you like Poison! It's alright to dig Poison's music. Please stop with the guilty pleasure crap! Poison Rock's!
I'm not really a fan, I just happen to own all their records and have seen them four times in concert. They're ok, I 'spose.....
damn right !! i saw them 3 times on open up and say ahh !
@@djay6651 lol, seen them so many times i cannot count. I met bret here in michigan on a solo tour. Sat on the steps of his bus and bullshitted for a few minutes. Such a down to earth guy.
Best "cut the bullcrap" post I've read on anything on here. To many are afraid to be themselves and like what they like 👍
Ohhh nooooo! How do you know I exist ?
I can't listen to this song without replaying CCs solo at least 5 times. Especially the bridge at the end, just flawless.
The guitar solo...80's was amazing!
Powerful song, thank you POISON!
Totalmente. Amo ambas.
Totalmente de acuerdo con vos.
No olvides que "You're All I Need" habla sobre un asesinato en primera persona pero no deja de ser una gran canción.
One of my fav guitar solo's ever
That guitar solo, right? It's so soulful its heartbreaking and beautiful at the same time.
This is one of those You Tube videos that just blows my mind how it doesn't have over a 100 million views. One of the best power ballads ever. This whole band is underrated for their musical and songwriting abilities.
You r rite BRO!!! 👍
💯
You're absolutely right
CC kills it 🎸❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

One of my favorite ballad ...huge amount of thanks ..Poison forever
I was not born in the 80s but I got a story about this song
so when I was in middle school I use to get bullied a lot and I remember one day coming home crying and the tv was on with this song and i was listing, to this song and something told me everything gonna be alright, and man that feeling did come true and now I'm living my best life.
We used to play their songs...eons later..this song still sounds fresh. Bands like Ratt,Skid row,Poison and maybe Crue were amazing bands with amazin vocals and guitarists...cc was so underrated
what a inmortal song❤❤❤. I love the lyrics
The best solo of Poison! 😍
Andres Giron es una joya 😍
@@MiguelAngelMontealegre la letra es fabulosa y el solo es espectacular es tan original

That killer solo by CC made me dream of being a guitar god,one that shook everyone who heard by his soulful, tasteful, sonic, melodic music, will always make me soar thru my past metal memories \m/
This solo gets him the respect he deserves
RIP Mom 11/04/48-01/02/15 If you only knew how much I miss you
It's one of these songs where if I'm not prepared to listen to it, I will fucking cry. :'(
And that guitar solo is one of my favorite solos of all time.
Felix Wolf totally agree this one and I won't forget you always get me!!! Poison was my very first concert, I was fifteen and I am now 41 wow how that time flew!!!
honestly, the chorus of this song is a masterpiece
My dad loved this one and something to believe in. He passed on Memorial Day 2023, so I play this for him.
This song is underrated
