Age 18 to 50 went by in the blink of an eye. Now at 50, it’s hit me in a way I cannot put into words properly, just how damn short life really is.
Fuck Brother I am 52 and I Hear you 100% Yes I wish I could Go Back. But Live on...
Scars tell the stories gentleman.
Daughters account. I'm just 33 and it's already hitting me
Just turned 50 in February this year. I feel good but also sad sometimes. It's a difficult range of emotions to navigate for so many reasons. My kids are grown now, my grandparents just memories..... damn. Not to mention all the doctor appointments for check-ups and screenings, ugh.😭
Yep 50 here too. The 80s was the decade we started figuring stuff out and exploring "things" lol. What a great time to be a teen. No cell phones and no stupid internet......we actually went and found things to do and stuff to get into.
Words can’t describe how thankful I am to have been a teenager in the late 80s.
Born in 1968, lived aged 12 - 22 in this decade. Now 54, wife left me, in the best shape of my life because I lift weights and run on treadmill to the '80's. Last summer I was the second oldest person to finish a 9 mile 2,000 elevation race in Vermont. People will come and go, but the eighties keeps giving back. I won't forget you 80's.
Very true but you have to have laughter no matter what life throws at you. !!!! 3:53
There will NEVER be another decade like the 80's!!!
😢
Thank God. I mean, the music was amazing but the fashion was horrendous.
Fashion, really???????????? The "fashion" was fine it went along with the hair and make up............ Your comment is idiotic @empirika109
we will see..
Acknowledge
Sorry you missed it youngsters! The 80's were incredible! It was every bit as fun as it Looks!
Tell me about it. Seriously, I want an idea.
Yeah! I'm born in 1987, so I don't remember a darn thing about the decade, and it makes me kind of sad sometimes😢

As someone that was raised during the 80s ....No it wasn't. There were some good moments but most of it was trash.
@@Mahmood42978 any example?
People who are reading this. you have the best taste in music.
We know! 🥰
Whoever that was in the video seemed like they didn’t have a care in the world. I hadn’t done much laughing in a long minute. Thanks Devon 2:37 2:37
I'm 53 and have passed down my love of 80's to my twin daughters who love the music and style, and I am grateful for this.......I miss the 80's every, single day
Me too bro 2:18
I'm 58 years old/Young and I'm very thankful to be part of a chosen generation that was privileged to be able to hear what music actually sounds like when placed in the right hands!
I thank the band Poison and all the bands that gave of their time and their talent to make it all happen!
Please share this with the younger generations so that they don't miss out on what music is!!
As we've always said,
Turn it up and rock and roll!!
Thank you!!

We were so lucky to live our teen years in the 80s would not trade for anything! Keep your iPhone! Give me the 80s... I'm 50 now...
Yeah I’m 55 but I’d not trade those years and those times. I don’t want to die yet but if I die tomorrow at least I know I had fun in life and I got to live in what I consider the best decades in history.

Okay eighties there I grew up
Yes you right. Best of the times!!
I'm now 47 and this song is still one I listen to regularly. It brings so much nostalgia, brings back good times and memories from being young. An all time favorite power ballad even after this long!
That nostalgia is bitter sweet isn’t it? I know it is for me - I think back and remember the fun but also that it’s a time long gone that will never be again. Plus the people that were still around back then but no longer are

Yes me. And I’m learning to rip it on the guitar too. 😂 So much fun.
Oh yes!
This song immediately brings me to the 80's. What can I say, 80's music is mysteriously amazingly incomparable!
Dont care what the haters say about the hair bands of the 80s like poison it was helluva ride
Lol. Its as popular as ever now....esp internationally. Have you seen the RUclips comments on all this "hair metal"? Kids loving this music wishing they could have experienced the 80s, tons of posts from other countries only now discovering this music.....this stuff remains hugely popular. When you get 15 year old kids saying they wish they could have grown up in the 80s....it says it all.

The indoor show was at the Springfield Massachusetts Civic Center. I was at that show, Ratt openedup
@@glenndavis1665 Some of the inside scenes were filmed at the Cumberland County Civic Center in Portland, Me. I remember them announcing how they were going to be filming for this video. I was up front, and have always remembered seeing the camera person get in Bobby’s face (2:13)-but I get that he could have done this other times, as well. It was a pretty small arena, and the lighting was different. You can see the difference compared to the other inside scenes. There’s also the scene of them eating Maine lobster. 😊 And yes, they were touring with Ratt. I believe that’s Robin Crosby at 3:11. Such good memories! I miss the 80s.
Thanks, I was wondering where that was. Wow it's huge!!
@@wife2sp . 6/22/87, I was there too. I was up front too, so might have bumped into you, lol. I can see the top of my face for a split second at 2:31, with Bobby Dall outside their tour bus. Pretty cool of him to come out to mix with the fans in the pouring rain. Another thing i remember from that show is being a little disappointed with Ratt's sound mix. I could barely hear anything Pearcy was singing. '87 was a great time..saw Def Leppard/Tesla at the same venue a few months later.
@@STEVEdh8xy That’s awesome! Who knows, we probably did! My friend or I may have even sat on your shoulders, as we typically asked guys up front if we could! lol They all seemed like genuine guys, so it doesn’t surprise me that Bobby came out to the fans. Lucky guy you are, as I’d have given my right arm back then to meet any one of them!
This is one of my favorite songs. I'm surprised it wasn't a bigger hit.

Even though I should
I won't forget you 80s

This video was shot at the Texas Jam back in 1987. I was a new teacher and my students bought me and my girlfriend tickets to see the show. I was excited to see Aerosmith and Boston. We saw Poison, Tesla and Whitesnake also. It reminds me of the days when I first started teaching and you could get away with things like this! I just wish that our seats were not next to the kids doing drugs! thanks Kiki Hilliard and Donni Musha! Later years I saw Poison at the starplex venue and they talked about making the video at the cotton bowl! good memories!

I grew up in the 80s and it's impossible to describe the memories. These bands had such an influence on me. When u hear these bands they just take u back.
I, too, grew up in the '80s, and, to paraphrase, "YOU HAD TO BE THERE IN ORDER TO FEEL WHAT IT WAS (ACTUALLY) LIKE."
Very true im 43 takes me back to 16
There was an atmosphere and and an indescribable feeling in this country at that time. We made peace with Russia, we had the Space shuttle starting to go up, computers were just getting started. It felt like the whole world was was changing in the eighties and the future looks so bright.. And the music and the parties back then.... just...untouchable. It will never be like that again. Everyone stuck in their damn devices now. No idea how to party like rock stars anymore.
MTV actually played music videos, you could flirt with girls and they may or may not be interested, but they didn't act like it was some kind of sex crime and you should be me-too'd just for hitting on them.

now it's likely that we hate the mainstream but back in the 80's when a new hit came out we would celebrate. Got MTV in '83. Those were the days.

Whenever I watch this video it reminds me of just how great we had it back in 86'. I attended the RATT/POISON tour in Knoxville Tennessee and got to touch that very bus in this video. Dang, that makes me feel really old at 51. Sorry you 2k kiddos didn't get to be a part of that era.
Rockin All the time,. National anthem of the 80's,. Great Memories 😮😊😂
I was ten years old, in fifth grade, and my friends and I were just getting into music. My best friend, Billy, showed up at school with a copy of a new album. He showed it to me and I saw the cover and said,”oh they are all girls?” It was Look What The Car Dragged In.
We started running home after school to watch Dial MTV daily and this video was constantly in the top ten. I was a big Kiss fan, so that shot with Paul Stanley playing guitar sold me. I was like, this band is rad. This is one of my favorite “live” videos. They look like they are having an absolute blast. Watching this video instantly takes me back to those days.
I was born in '82, and had it not been for my mother's alcohol and drug riddled heart blasting 80's hair rock through those old Mustangs and Daytonas I'd'v never known it like I do. Thanks mom :)
41 and still love Poison. Takes me back to being 10 year old boy. Missing those days.
The 80 was the best rock
Look at the size of those stadium crowds. Poison could sure draw them in. Before the internet... when you would hear and song on the radio and go out and buy the single and the album. If you didn't have the single or the album you would wait until the dj played it on the radio and turn it up and could not wait until the song came on the radio again. Poison were huge for a time. They started from nothing and made the big time. What a life! On the road, meeting your fans, hearing your songs on the radio. I guess it all comes to an end...Smells like Teen Spirit ruined it for a lot of these bands.
