My parents were the strictest in my small town but they would let me go to any concert with people they had never met and I never ever understood that but never said a word. @@Jedi_Mistress A bunch of idiots taking drugs, getting killed, killing themselves, killing others because of being stupid and irresponsible like drink driving which is what Vince Neil did and he killed the drummer for Hanoi rocks. Stop putting a rose tint on history. Half of these bands have either lost members back in the 80s because of drugs and alcohol or became drug addicts later in life so it's not all fun and games and it wasn't that either. Alot of musicians from that time say they regret doing drugs and messing their lives up, and the people who say it was all great and fun are liars that don't want to admit that they fucked up and were stupid.
Damn.. what it would be like to be a teenager in these times 😢😢 I'm a 90s baby and have always been so jealous of my older sisters, they were teens in the 80s.
i was playing the main lick of this song, and i had no idea where it was from. it was driving me crazy then the lyrics hit me "sumting sumting sumting and baaaaby, Talk Dirty to Me" Hell yeah! Gotta thank my mom's awesome taste in music for introducing me to rock
Great music! Have killer memories from dancing at the bar to this song long ago! The best rock songs are the ones like this where memories were created! The 70's and 80's were the greatest years and times of all. Now this song reminds me of someone I once dated....so here's to you, James T., wherever you may be!
@@CelebFactsQuotes Yeah, there is some influence from the New York Dolls “Personality Crisis” throughout the song by Poison. This, however, is a lot cleaner, which is my preference.
I seen this concert back in the day. Poison and Ratt back to back. This is when style and music became one in art! God! I wish I could grow my hair out like that again!
Damn the eighties were a great decade! Nothing but sheer fun and decadence. What's happened to our world. I feel we peaked in the eighties and all down hill since...
I first time saw Poison was in a hole-in-the-wall club in Anaheim, CA. I think a friend's band was opening for them. They took the stage, and opened with Smokin' in the Boys Room. Right away, we knew these guys were going somewhere. This was shortly before Motley Crue's Theater of Pain album came out--I get the sense that the Crue liked what Poison was doing with Smokin', and remade it as their own before Poison got a record deal. The next them I saw them was at the Troubador a few weeks later. David Lee Roth was sitting alone at the bar at the front of the place. Poison had grown by leaps and bounds in a very short time. The place was packed and rockin'! They came back to the OC, and played the Golden Bear. For whatever reason, we didn't have enough money to get in, but we ran into the band at the Jack-in-the-Box a few doors down on PCH. They were totally down to Earth, and spent some time chatting with us, telling the story of how they drove from PA to play the LA scene. I saw them once more just after their album came out, but never saw them in an arena. Good times and big hair!
After reading so many comments and debates about metal, hard rock or glam rock....if it's got a hard beat, screaming guitar and it makes you feel good it's rock and roll...I don't care how you wrap it up, I like it all
It was really fun, but you had to deal with a lot of persecution and watch out for criminalization from stalker police back in the day just for long hair, guitar playing, and music. We had cassette walk-mans with headphones, but we loved to crank up the stereo. Because the lyrics in 80's music are more relevant today than even then by far, it's still very popular among young people just like how I was. You guys are lucky, the environment isn't' so conservative today where it's here to stay. I like Megadeath, Metallica, White Lion, Judas Priest, and Malmsteen. I didn't get to hear all the music since the cassettes were very pricey like almost $20 often times on $3/hour wages with axes running $250 and up, but I had a Kramer ax with Crate stack and pedals. To hear much of it or discover music, you had to buy it except when friends dubbed each other tapes since there was no internet, very few TV channels, 1 MTV channel, and no events outside big cities like concerts or places to hear it. We listened to radio even though it's song titles were very limited to as an outlet to hear music. This was a time when you automatically thought USA is the best since the American music scene was at it's apex and it was easy for most everyone to live despite how conservative the culture really was back then.
Meloni and LuAnn backstage at the Poison Concert in West Palm Bch. I'll bet they'd NEVER forgot about us Mel, HUH. Brett was so cute, and really happy to be used as a personal ladder that pm. There were many backstage nights Mel, but this one was the best. Miami Vice party's at 2Club 2130, with Don Johnson, and Phillip Michael Thomas, and George Michael was at our table. The best part was it was INVITATION ONLY, and we were INVITED!!!! Those were the days of Mel, and Lu's Adventures!🎉❤
I was 12 when this song came out. I didn’t care about the lyrics I just loved the music. I sang it all the time. My daughter’s 19 year old friend guest plays for a local band and I was there with her and her friends and they saw how crazy I went. I think I surprised them because I’m quite the quiet unexpected one to like this song.
Poison is such a great band! Their music never fails to make me happy and want to dance. I feel that their style perfectly encapsulates everything that was epic about fun, campy '80's bands. Everyone involved is really talented, and they sure know how to make songs that make everyone want to have a good time! Even future generations would love their infectious sound and their groove. Few do it like Poison! P.S. Even as of their 2022 tour, they've still got it! They should never stop rocking out and helping all of us party!
Saw these guys in South Texas 4 times in the early 80s. Just an awesome show. Who else is rockkking to this awesome jam in 2019 other than me Johnny G Blaze?

You have some talent come out of it, but substance went to die.
The 90s was incredible for music
@@braidenbaker5588 I was talking about the musicians in the 80s but yeah I mean it works both ways
When music was fun.and not so serious.... take me back already
Hello, how are you doing? It’s really nice meeting you here.
I swear to God there's a special place in heaven for hair bands T__T
I just saw them Friday night here in SoCal, kicking off the new tour. Came in about half way through Cheap Trick - they were great. Robin can still sing pretty well. Poison kicked ass, Big Time. Bret is still a great front man. So glad we went. Go to this tour, you will not be disappointed.
Love Poison! Looks like they had a blast making that video. 80s were good times!!
This is how many people love the '80s

It's because it WAS FUN! The entire decade was fun on steroids. You have no idea.
Very good point 👌
@@Jedi_Mistress At least, it was, until the PMRC came along.
I believe they were
@@Jedi_Mistress A bunch of idiots taking drugs, getting killed, killing themselves, killing others because of being stupid and irresponsible like drink driving which is what Vince Neil did and he killed the drummer for Hanoi rocks.

Great music! Have killer memories from dancing at the bar to this song long ago! The best rock songs are the ones like this where memories were created! The 70's and 80's were the greatest years and times of all. Now this song reminds me of someone I once dated....so here's to you, James T., wherever you may be!
Hello how are you doing it’s really nice meeting you here.
I grew up in the eighties and loved every minute of fun Love the band Poison and their music always and forever Rock on Guys
1987 or 88 they hit so hard. All of us young people partied our asses off to it. It was a time that was one a kind.Damn it was good times.
I graduated high school in 83 and into college. It was a good time. And I still love this shit.
I did to. But now Im a rockin roll grandma
That riff is ICONIC!!!
It sounds like the riff from Personality Crisis. Cee Cee was an obvious New York Dolls Fan.
@@CelebFactsQuotes Yeah, there is some influence from the New York Dolls “Personality Crisis” throughout the song by Poison. This, however, is a lot cleaner, which is my preference.
no one did 80s glam better than these gents right here.
Matt Brewster They're gents???!!!
Gents means guys.
Motley Crue.
yup lmao
Motley?
man I'd do anything to be back in the 80s
Me too Buddy!!
I'd give anything to be a teenager in the 80's. Bon Jovi? Guns n Roses? Poison? Whitesnake? The list goes on.

those where the days I seen them 3 times back in the 80"s and I just seen them again
back in June during there 2018 nothing but a good time tour

Tickets for concerts back then were apparently also around $12 or so... unfair
I know right,, nothing could compare to the 80s, I wish I grew up during those days 😔
It was good times. 15 when this came out.
I seen this concert back in the day. Poison and Ratt back to back. This is when style and music became one in art! God! I wish I could grow my hair out like that again!
I love how CC doesn't give a shit to even try to look like he's playing for the video
Definitely one of those amazing bands from the fabulous 80s .. how much I miss those days

Hello Gina
How are you doing today?
Nice meeting you here
Almost 75 and still love this song
And they are dressed beautifully. And we loved it. No politics, no one shoving it down out throats. Just people. Everyone needs to lighten up.
Poison Rules 🤘🏻😎🇺🇲
Damn the eighties were a great decade! Nothing but sheer fun and decadence. What's happened to our world. I feel we peaked in the eighties and all down hill since...
Hello how are you doing it’s really nice meeting you here.
Went to see Bret Michael's this weekend in concert. He totally rocked it and this song was really bad ass. He still can kick ass.
Was there ever any doubt?
Was there ever any doubt?!
27 years old and loving this classic Masterpiece 🔥🔥🔥🔥
After reading so many comments and debates about metal, hard rock or glam rock....if it's got a hard beat, screaming guitar and it makes you feel good it's rock and roll...I don't care how you wrap it up, I like it all
Hello how are you doing it’s really nice meeting you here.
This really has a lot of punk influence in it . Almost a pop punk feel to it
Poison don't get enough credit for their phenomenal fashion. Rikki always killing the clothes game.
Fell in love with Poison, 'bout 32 years ago
I was 12..Me and my best buddy Ricky loved them...

CC was magic on that guitar.
The opening riff and the long line of guitars at the beginning of the video made me want to play guitar. Thank you, CC!
Quite honestly, back in my college days, this is the kinda' stuff ithat got me through the year 1987 with a *smile* on my face. : )
OMG, the memories....Rock City in Nottingham on a Saturday night back in the 80's...where did all those years go?
Hello how are you doing it’s really nice meeting you here.
80s music is amazing

This was when music was MUSIC ...
OMG THE LOVELY MEMORIES OF THIS ..
One of those songs you can listen to again and again and never get tired of.
I can't crank my stereo up high enough, playin this song. Miss those days. AWESOME!!!
They kicked ass in Denver @ the Stadium Tour!! I'm 58 still love them!

This was the music I was rocking to in the 80's
Ahhhhhh hiding this album from my parents because I knew they would take it away! 💜💙💜💙💜
@Jason Maloney it was a different time.
Hello how are you doing it’s really nice meeting you here.
Guitar Hero, the song screams it at me
HIT IT C.C.!!! 🚀
Poison was my favorite rock band growing up. Several great songs, still some of my all time favorites. CC's solo is one of the best. Love it.
This is actually a pretty wholesome young love song, lol.
Хорошо сказано! Поддерживаю! 😊❤😊❤
