I second that. I met a gentleman at my job that told me he fought in Vietnam. I thanked him for his Service but he refused to accept it. He told me his job was to go in and eliminate all the women and children. That broke my heart you could clearly tell that haunted him clean up to his dying day. I almost started crying in front of him because I knew that's not what he wanted to do but that's what he was told to do. RIP Barry and thank you for your service

Mine was similar. He was a navy frog man ; before the seal program. He was heavily involved in the cold war, believe me ,those guys saw plenty of action. And, sometimes had to do the unthinkable; he paid his dues and then some. He led a very productive life after that , but had night terrors the rest of his life. He said he never had dreams anymore, he just didn't remember. It may be a terrible thing to say; but I am glad he doesn't have to see what he fought against so hard; communism on American soil.

This song played thru my head the whole 18 mths and i really had nothing to believe in. Today i am sober and clean from all drugs. Now i believe in myself. When you think there is no where else to turn, turn to yourself and believe in yourself. To all the addicts out there i believe in you. You can do it.

Just when I think I can’t love Bret Michaels any more (or more than I did when I had a poster of Poison on my wall circa 1988), he goes and adopts a dog, named Bret Michaels, that helped save the life of a kitten, after hearing about the story via a rescue group's social media page and via his sister who lives in the area (apparently).
So far, it appears Mr Michaels has only slightly altered the 6-year-old husky's name to Brett Jr. Thank you so much for adopting a 6-year-old dog and for helping find that very lucky kitten a home, sir! 🥰
Now, please get down here to Australia sometime, please and thank you 😊

Everytime I hear this song it reminds me of my grandmother. It was the last Thanksgiving that we spent together. She was in the living room, watching TV and I was in my bedroom listening to my poison CD. This song came on and the next thing I know, my grandmother, with her walker, had walked into my room and asked me to play this song again. When the song ended, she said that's a very special song. She asked to hear some other songs, so I played Every Rose Has It's Thorn. She said that's a really good song too. She asked what else do they sing. So I played Unskinny Bop. When that finished, my grandmother said, "Well I guess they have a wide range of talent" and then she walked back out to the living room. It's the last memory I have of my grandmother before she passed away.

Couple weeks ago my dad gave me a homemade stool i use to sit on at my grandmothers coffee table to eat my lunch. I watched Gilligan s island and lil rascals on the tv. I took the stool home. Sat it next to my coffee table n got something to eat. As i sat esting my pumpkin pie i started to cry. Just a wow moment. This song makes me think of my uncle. He was exposed to agent orange in Vietnam and ultimately that's what took him. He struggled a lot with the emotional pain of Vietnam up until the end. Best uncle I could have ever asked for. More like a father to me than an uncle and I miss him every day. I wouldn't be where I'm at today had it not been for all the things he taught me about life. RIP uncle Harold. Thank you for your service and God Bless all of our Vietnam Vets.

Because it's not music anymore. The record companies go after the money. And now days there's younger people think that rap is music. And I have always said that rap is not music not even close. I really thought green day was going to be the band to save the younger people from that DUMBASS SHIT rap but they just disappeared. I saw green day as really rock and roll they remind me of THE WHO they were that good.

I've not been in a war of any kind. Hell, I'm only 20. But hats off to all war veterans, nurses and affected parties.
Whatever they had to go through, during and post war, must be generously tributed. Bless 'em all.

This band is a multifaceted multi generational group. With the struggles they have had they somehow come out giving 1000 percent I am so glad to have grown up with them. Their music saved my life I was home less at 13 with 2 changes of clothes a Walkman and a few cassettes and everyday started with cry tough and it got me up whether it be in the rain or a friends car and helped me look at life as something to work for. All these years later I managed to make something of myself and I have to thank them for lighting the fire for me that still flames today. I don't regret my life and they helped me in a way only time could showed me. 💯 I am lucky to have had that I don't know what I would be if I didn't have the right energy to choose my path. But I know that their joy and love for music. Saved my life. Sounds silly to some but here I am and as long as they are I think we can all agree even in this downtime like the message in this song says. We gotta cry to, to get what we want even if all want nothing but a good time. Just never give up. Wherever you are in life what ever gets you through the day. Be proud. They didn't give up and even after the decades they gave us their best and the message is clear. Life is short don't miss a moment wasting energy on the things that bring you down or can'tcontrol. Peace and passion rock strong!
