Mick Mars was Motley Crue's secret weapon. Nikki's songs wouldn't have as powerful without Mick. This is one of my favorite guitar solos. I have a lot of respect for players that play note for note live, what they did on the record.
Born in 1999 and this song means so much more to me than I can put into words. Who’s to say it’s a song of meaning to only one generation? Crüe lives on forever!
I could not agree more. Keep rockin Mick, you don't need them. Don't get me wrong, I grew up listening to these guy's and love there music, but Mick has carried them on his back for a long time.

This ballad is ""ballad "" It reminds me of a girlfriend that destiny separated us but we had great times enjoying this ballad together.. I remember a show we went to by Motley crue It was unforgettable ❣️❣️❣️❣️
From the time the album was released, this has been the theme song of every service member serving overseas when they know they are coming back to the states.
Home sweet home 🏡 Columbia Missouri, my home @birth is a little more convenient and crazy than I remember it was I guess it's grown up to be a lot more of a college student lifestyle than a township for the homeowners. Parties are a lot more wild and abundant
MOTLEY CRUE IS BACK and I love how much they care about each other I was watching a interview about when they broke up and tommy saw mick after a while and he couldn’t move his neck and he was blown away it left me with a few tears to see his reaction
I was 14 years old when my uncle brought me to this show. Forever a fan. I motorboated a 28 year old and saw my first cat-fight this night. Never gonna forget it. R.I.P. Martin
I definitely just wish back to the 80s and the 90s this song was a tremendous hit in 1992 on MTV music just the best era. Just rock and roll babyyyyy! 🤘😎🎸
this song is like a star that shines to us through the years and distances! it's so good to come home under her! you are simply beautiful! greetings from 2021. :)
@William David I'm aware. I was around when Mötley Crüe broke out. I grew up in SoCal. Mick Mars is from my hometown. I've been a fan for most of my life. That *still* doesn't excuse the fact that Vince Neil has been screeching, singing only vowels, and caterwauling live shows since at least the late 80s.
@@babyrocasmama Lead men are historically problematic, but hey at least the kept the band together, and those farewell tour performances were EPIC! At least the one i saw in Detroit.
Right!. Love the studio version of classic Crue, but Vince Neil was the worst effin singer live EVER. Is it asking too much to sound like the freaking album Vince?
What I love about this song is that it shows how heavy metal doesn't have to be all thrash guitars and screaming crazy stuff, but it can also have a soft and sentimental side that really shines through when the band brings it out. Like this song, if I didn't know Motley Crue I never would've suspected that Tommy could play this so well on the piano and it's just absolutely incredible. Way to go guys, I miss your songs in 2018 and I wish y'all could still be touring
The piano parts of this song are more than extremely basic, its just a basic cMaj chord that changes the root to b then bflat, then a 1 3 5 f major triad, its not rocket science by any means and any 2nd week piano student can play this. Does it sound good? Of course, but Tommy is by far not a great piano player by any means.
When i was 6rowing u this was my fav song of Motley Crue. I was on the Myrtle Beach main drag running wild at 16 years old. That was the first time I saw the Motley Crue 6osters all over town.Summer 1984. I liked them instantly. Hard to believe it is over. Tying with a fkd key board about to die on me. Those were the days...At first sight I thought vince was female lol...all these years.
I had the privilege to see Motley Crue at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in the early 80s. That's as close as I can remember. It was absolutely amazing.
I was stationed in Germany first time I heard this song and I wanted to go Home!! Beautifully done,Vince was almost Sober, and they collaborated marvelously!! Tommy held that band together for many years, I mean he partied but maintained ALWAYS! Look at his girls, justice!!👏👍😁
@@rav5251 Fair enough.... but heroin was a very long time ago when they all got along... age has made Tommy stubborn. regardless, just happy the original lineup is still playing.
this song takes me back to 6th grade, recess and a student playing it on her tape box on loop for all of recess... Crue is are the soundtrack to my elementary and middle school years.. there is a timelessness that goes beyond nostalgia .. the words and harmonies mean so much to so many folks. Vince gets a lot of heat, sometime deserved, but here he crushes it. Still listening to these timeless tunes in 2021 (almost 2022)
Every time i watch them play that song live i get teary eyed, been a fan since 1985, im 48 , seen them in concert a lot, my fav band of all time, when all four of them are together my heart is happy, idc if vince doesn't sing like he did in past, hes still vince fkn neil, the fact that all 4 of them are still alive after all the shit they did is crazy and thank god!

Amazing....Iam almost 60 years old and a i remember all this songs my god what a time ..let those times never be forgotten😎
Mick Mars was Motley Crue's secret weapon. Nikki's songs wouldn't have as powerful without Mick. This is one of my favorite guitar solos. I have a lot of respect for players that play note for note live, what they did on the record.
I think same
Mick will always be on my Top 3 shredders 🎸 Underrated As Hell.
Born in 1999 and this song means so much more to me than I can put into words. Who’s to say it’s a song of meaning to only one generation? Crüe lives on forever!
Mick is one of the strongest people I know. To be in such constant pain throughout his body and always giving 200% for the fans
I could not agree more. Keep rockin Mick, you don't need them. Don't get me wrong, I grew up listening to these guy's and love there music, but Mick has carried them on his back for a long time.
[Verse 1]
You know I'm a dreamer
But my heart's of gold
I had to run away high
So I wouldn't come home low
Just when things went right
It doesn't mean they were always wrong
Just take this song and you'll never feel
Left all alone
Take me to your heart
Feel me in your bones
Just one more night
And I'm coming off this
Long and winding road
[Chorus]
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home sweet home
Tonight, tonight
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home sweet home
[Verse 2]
You know that I've seen
Too many romantic dreams
Up in lights
Falling off the silver screen
My heart's like an open book
For the whole world to read
Sometimes nothing
Keeps me together
At the seams
[Chorus]
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home sweet home
Tonight, tonight
I'm on my way
Just set me free
Home sweet home
Home sweet home
Home sweet home
Home sweet home
[Guitar solo]
[Chorus]
I'm on my way
I'm on my way
Home sweet home, yeah
I'm on my way
Just set me free
Home sweet home
Thanks Cheryl for lyrics

This ballad is ""ballad "" It reminds me of a girlfriend that destiny separated us but we had great times enjoying this ballad together.. I remember a show we went to by Motley crue It was unforgettable ❣️❣️❣️❣️

I’m 20 and I keep telling my dad I could be Mick Mars
get your syringe and your heroin, de tune your instrument, and you too could be in motley crue

Lol me too
I am in the next best thing to Mötley Crüe, a tribute to them. It's my 12th year and I'm still having a blast.

True Greatness on all levels....Thank God I grew up in the 80's. Motley got me thru my time during the desert storm.
This band wouldn't have been as GREAT without The Man MICK MARS!!!!!
Gotta love Tommy Lee
Who doesnt?
Cute as hell also 💯
The 80s music will never be matched and neither will Motley Crue!!
From the time the album was released, this has been the theme song of every service member serving overseas when they know they are coming back to the states.
Mick has been Motley from the beginning. We'll take HIS heart and feel it in our bones!!!
Buried two close friend's to this song in 1987. It will always be near and dear to my heart
I'm home. Where I was born. Mom and dad passed away Cindy and April are still alive and well in my heart. Hello motley crue
I played this at my fiances funeral. I see him and feel him every time i hear this song. Thank you Motley Crue
I was 14 years old when my uncle brought me to this show. Forever a fan. I motorboated a 28 year old and saw my first cat-fight this night. Never gonna forget it. R.I.P. Martin
MOTLEY CRUE IN MY OPINION IS THE GREATEST ROCK BAND IN HISTORY. THE CRUE IS MY FAVORITE BAND OF ALL TIME
this song will go down in history, ya, home sweat home.
I dont care what people say about him motley crue is my favorite 80s hair band and im only 37. rock on !!!!!
I just wish I could go back to the 80s
I say that every day!!
Couldn't pay me enough to go back to the 80s lol
I definitely just wish back to the 80s and the 90s this song was a tremendous hit in 1992 on MTV music just the best era. Just rock and roll babyyyyy! 🤘😎🎸
DITTO!
@blondee40 woooow! You are such a gorgeous woman!.😍🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🌷🤘😎
this song is like a star that shines to us through the years and distances! it's so good to come home under her! you are simply beautiful! greetings from 2021. :)
A live performance where Vince sounds decent AND sings ALL THE WORDS, not just the vowels and general caterwauling?
Color me impressed.
"WTF is CATERWAULING..who say's "color me impressed?...WIERDO Alert!
Right!. Love the studio version of classic Crue, but Vince Neil was the worst effin singer live EVER. Is it asking too much to sound like the freaking album Vince?
Don't have Impressed, but have Burnt Sienna. Cool?
Is it just me or does it seem that the camera always leaves Mick on his solos? Give that man his due respect!!

Awesome song people amen thank you Jesus amen ❤❤❤
Because Mick is the best
Mick is amazing

SHIT !! I WAS BORN IN 83 ..BUT My dad play this song on Viny so much of my childhood So much it brings me here now!
I had the privilege to see Motley Crue at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in the early 80s. That's as close as I can remember. It was absolutely amazing.

This is why we, the ones who lived through the 80’s will always be so cool no matter how old we get!

this song takes me back to 6th grade, recess and a student playing it on her tape box on loop for all of recess...

18 years old in 1988. For some reason fun times at 18 are hanging out with cool girls, playing D&D, and going to the Rocky Horror Show in Monterey, Ca. Ah, glorious youth. Right before Grunge ended bands like Motley Crue...
It brings back memories my friend from West Texas we would cruise through drag playing that music
this album came out while i was in high school in the 80's and i listen to everyday then and still do in 2020 love this band forever.
My wife’s dream was to see tommy Lee play the baby grand. We saw this performance in Dallas and she cried. She passed away from me due to cancer and we played this at her funeral. I miss her dearly and can’t wait for the day we are reunited again. Home sweet home. Thank you motley cute.
