I came here for CC, but not just for the solo. He wrote much of the song. It's about a girlfriend of his that dies apparently. CC wasn't a spectacular player for the time. Probably several kids at a local high school could wank better than him. But CC knew how to make music, which is why he was on the stage and all the haters of the time were paying his bills buying poison tickets, album's and singles. It's too bad CC didn't have that perspective at the time, he could have enjoyed it all much more.

The reason why I love this song so much is 85% because of CC's solo. Now, CC being one of the sloppiest guitarist in the history always twists his solos when he plays live and it's such a shame because the studio version is truly amazing!!

Love this Song. I believe this is their masterpiece! This and “ Give me Something to believe in.” Starting in about 95 on we kind of trashed the whole Power Ballad songs. But, after listening to the mindless, soulless stuff I hear lately, give me some sweet slow bluesy, heart felt lyrics, colored with a emotion filled solo, all day long.
Some of my favs are Lynch, DiMartinni, Beech, Bratta, DeVille, DeGarmo, Lee, Vai, Lifeson, Rhodes, 5, and Halen. Just to name a few, yes, I know I am leaving out a ton of other guys, but there is only so much room.

This is from the same show that was broadcasted on ABC's "In Concert 91" with Slaughter and Bulletboys. Poison really are hard rock icons and their music never gets old. My secret hope is that someday the entire concert from this show, all three bands and their full sets are posted on here. Most will agree this was the very peak of hard rock/glam rock/heavy metal before grunge took over. I miss the late 80's and early 90's really bad.

I saw Dokken some time ago, and before Don got on stage, everyone on Soundcheck had told the Boardsman to up their personal volume. It was so loud, I almost got tinnitus, and you couldn’t hear Don. I left, pissed. As I was walking to my car they finally started sounding good! I believe a good band is a team. Each contribution counts, not a competition! Jack Russels great white was awesome, the year before.
To think that this band went from “Rock like a Rocker” “straight poseurs” to “this” Rocktars is truly amazing. (I mean this with much respect) These guys were huge and everywhere.
