FINALLY!!!!! Somebody who can ACTUALLY play C.C.’s solos! All these ‘hotshot’ guitarists who put him down, can’t play his solos the way he recorded them. Beautiful job mate, loved it 👍👍
Say what you please. CC’s solos were/are melodic, manic, wild, and original and fit perfectly with Poison’s songs. CC and Mick Mars are the two most underrated guitarists ever.
Agreed. Lets be honest, Poison's music isnt of the highest quality but it wasnt because of C.C Deville's playing. That Life Goes On solo is incredibly melodic and really beautiful. I've always loved Ride the Wind too. Think those two tunes hold up against any music of that era.
CC was a perfect balance of technical ability and soul. He made every note count and always played for the song. He is easily one of the greatest guitar players and is sadly underrated.
william arbogast Exactly! I never understood why people put his playing down, to me his solos are very emotional and are like an additional verse that u can sing along too.🤘

I find his playing is very interesting and a damn good guitar player. Also, his style of guitar playing is not for today's hot shot guitar players. Now, this guy did a damn good cover of the solos. great playin' mate. Respect.
Poison may have been pop metal; but they wrote their own music, played their instruments and always sang/played live; not like todays’s crappy pop. Loved poison in the 80’s and love them now! Great video!
So damn good dude! CC has to be one of the greatest Pentatonic and whammy players to walk this earth...So much feel....People who hate him are shitheads...
CC was my guitar hero and cause me to first pick up the guitar in 87 at 11 years old. Always loved him and his solos are timeless. Life Goes On and Something to believe in are some of the best solos out there
This video is so damn beautiful and relaxing to listen to just beautiful. CC makes solos with Feelings and emotions, CC was always my favorite guitar player for a darn good reason, Thanks for this awesome performance 👏
I have guitarists friends who do Rush and Dream Theater tributes but won't go near Poison. Not for credibility or whatever, but for fear of not been able to pull off CC's soulful incredible solos. To me CC's solos make up half of the song. They tell a story within a story. That Life Goes On solo makes you feel pain and sadness. What a great way underrated player CC was. Great video dude. Saludos desde Puerto Rico.
Tell you man, its harder for me to play solos that need precise bending and control than to play quick stuff...both have challenges but to me the latter is easier
Awesome! I’ve always thought C.C. was overlooked. Great job! Would love to see other underrated 80’s guitarists represented. (Joey and Eric from Warrant, Tim Kelly from Slaughter...etc.
Poison Flesh and Blood was the first cassette I bought when I was 11 back in 1990 and hearing C.C playing for the first time is the reason why I pick up the guitar in the first place. He needs more recognition and respect.
The emotions, the phrasing, the tone and the STORY telling of the SOLOs are masterfully beautiful! Life goes on & Every rose has its torn. Sadly, he's below the ground rated and only few knows him. - CC Devile is one of the greatest.
wow, respect! life goes on solo... the original is not played in one step :-) I'm am a professionell guitar player too. I Alway loved the style of c.c. Deville, so freaky and fresh. Missing guitar player like him at these days. YOU played it really great in each detail! and Yeah, Fleah an Blood in my always favorite Album from Poison! :-)
Very underrated song indeed. Another song from that same album that is very underrated is Life Loves A Tragedy....a song that until this day I believe should have been released as a single.
Life goes on is the perfect guitar solo for that genre. It is everything that was amazing about that era. CC always has been and always will be one of my favorite guitar players ever and he should be in The Rock and roll hall of fame.
CC created these solos, and they truly masterful. Sadly however, if another player would have done them, critics would rave about the solos. But because it was CC, he got little respect. This guy does these to perfection. Beautiful. WELL DONE👌
I’ve heard he could not play for shit which I automatically thought was patently absurd. This isolates his work and if anyone says he couldn’t play guitar proficiently then they are deaf or have a grudge/bias. Awesome stuff brother!

I've heard that too. I bet most people don't even know that CC went to Juliard and is classically trained? Poison was a fun band and CC did what was needed for the song. I loved CC's playing though.
@@shellybean9 The fact that he went to Juliard and was classically trained makes his playing that much more disappointing. Again it's not that he's bad...it's just that he's a very good guitarist who landed in a era filled with virtuosos the likes of Vai, GIlbert, Malmsteen, Petrucci et. al.

Que grupazo más infravalorado, por el maquillaje, me encanta el rollo musical de CC deville . Que bueno eres compi, que pedazo de guitarrista. Enhorabuena!!!!
@rattlesnake-ef6so that’s good to hear he was even using heroin at one point. I never went to a poison concert but I’ve heard plenty of their life stuff and I don’t think he’s ever played many of the songs correctly live I think he was just high all the time and all over the place.
Wow!!! awesome!!! You are so talented. CC Deville is one of a kind and one of the best. You play mas bien que las rechucha!!! Saludos desde el país de Chile!

Poison was very much one of those bands that either you where into them or you weren't. I wont deny that CC had some great talent when it came to his guitar.
