Great job Man Neil Schon is one of the greats, and little is he talked about. Especially in the early years so much feeling in his playing it's incredible. I never heard someone play with so much feeling and every song he plays his lead breaks fit so well.
It says a lot when a guitarist can have these many memorable solos in a carreer. If I remember correctly he has more than 30 great solos including the ones outside of Journey.
Yes, Steve Lukather is amazing. His rhythm guitar work is truly incredible as well. He has such a wonderful way of playing melodic phrases without clashing with the multiple keyboard parts in most of their music.
When I think of Neil Schon guitar solo's, I think of 3 things. #1 Melodic as all hell. #2 His ability to bend strings to perfect pitch 1/4 step, 1/2 step, full step and even 2 full steps...he just nails it every time. And #3 - Emotion....amazing tone and vibrato. He's the full package guitar player, one of the best there's ever been. I don't know if he's underrated though, he's always been highly thought of by musicians I know...not sure about the younger generation though,. It's hard to be underrated when you've sold 100 million records!

You truly have a gift. I never get tired of listening to your tributes. It's so amazing that you did a tribute to Neil Schon, my all-time favorite guitarist. Neil has it all! However, above all are his melodic solos, and knowing what to play and what not to play; those are unmatched. There are so many great solos to choose from, but your selection nails the majority of my favorites (I would have loved to hear Message of Love and Escape). Thanks for including Send Her My Love, Stone in Love, among others. Your work is fantastic! Please keep'em coming!😀

What I love most about Ignacio's guitar presentations is unlike so many out there by others, he doesn't feel the need to look at the camera and smile and all that other nonsense. These solos are serious business and I really love that he's focused like a laser on his music and the guitar and not showing off to the camera with his eyes and smile. The way Schon's playing and Perry's singing complimented each other was out of the world. They gave us some of the best music ever.
Neal’s solos are hardly ever about flash and speed. There’s a reason you can hum his solos. To me, he’s the master of the melodic style. All feel.
He gave you just enough speed to let you know he could shred, but yes, it was always about the melody the most.
He was no slouch either though. He did play for the song. A lesson for most guys I’d say.
