this is why it's called "batman forever." bruce finally decides to accept and embrace being batman. forever.
Kilmer is so criminally underrated. Had he had more serious material to work with like this, he could have been amazing. Listen to that voice! It's very Kevin Conroy.
I consider Kilmer to have the best voice for Batman and Bruce Wayne. It is very cool. He's also a good Batman
Batman Forever is a masterpiece
You can also understand him
This was a crucial scene because it shows the internal conflict Batman had.
Great scene. Better cut it so we can have Jim Carrey prancing around in green spandex for 3 minutes instead.
There’s a reason why most directors hate executives
They cut because stupid Warner Brothers wanted this movie to be totally family friendly, so that they could sell toys and McDonalds happy meals. Stupid Warner Brothers couldn't understand the bigger picture.
Can't blame them.... It was 90s
I guess when Alfred said that Bruce's parents were avenged, he was referring to the death of the Joker in the first film.
Yes that's right, Forever was considered the sequel of Returns and the third movie.
@@victorcippitelli2242 Right but their something that make no sense like when Bruce said to Alfred I never been in love before really what about Viky Vale and Selina Kyle aka Catwoman tell me you never fall in love with them.
@@gundanout11 errors made because of the change of direction and stuff
@@gundanout11 well he really wasn’t IN LOVE with them necessarily…Vicki and Selina were more like flings and friends with benefits to Bruce…just phases for him because at that time he was feeling extremely toxic in his head due to joker killing his parents. But Bruce GENUINELY started having feelings for chase because she really understood how he felt and how much pain he was in. There’s levels when it comes to humans connecting with each other. Chase was the most empathetic and supportive woman he ever had…she understood him very well
@@cainbutler6291 Bruce was definitely in love with Selina, he shared a romantic evening with her and a dance and he unmasked himself in front of her and tried to convince to come with him and leave her quest for vengeance.
Over the years I've come to appreciate Batman Forever more and more, and actually think it may be the best Batman movie of the Burton/Schumacher era. Might not be my favorite to watch. That goes to Batman 89, but as an actual Batman movie, I think Forever ticks more boxes and has some good character stuff for Bruce Wayne/Batman that wasn't in the first two films. A lot of the deleted scenes show there's a lot more going on in that movie then some people might see. To a certain extent I think it's still there in the theatrical version, but an extended cut would definitely help flesh out those ideas even more. Would definitely love to see that happen at some point.
Nope
That’s exactly the whole point actually…
Batman 1989 was meant to showcase how dark, gritty and cool he was as Batman
Batman Returns was to show how borderline psychotic he was becoming as Batman
Batman Forever was to show how damaged, defeated and broken he was as Batman.
Val Kilmer was the Christian Bale Batman before Hollywood was ready for it. Gods, the haunted, tortured gravity he brought to this role.
Feels like the entire nolan trilogy is inspired by this one deleted scene of Batman Forever
Which scene?
Another scene that should have been in the movie...
It better be in the film
I wish it was in the film
This scene is from a different movie, its that different from what's in Batman Forever
Definitely. This movie is good but has the most potential to be GREAT
These scenes help to understand bruce mind.
He feels that being batman is a curse and cant escape from the monster he created to have a normal life.
Its not until he needs to be batman again he feels fear and doubt of wearing the mask putting in risl that normal life.
Sfter that epic man bat scene his guilt for his parents deaths dissapear by their note which says that they wanted to see the movie instrad of bruce.
His guilt dissapears and decides to be batman for need by his own choiced instead of his guilt by his parents dead and shooting.
Its more like a willing sacrifice and WORKS.
That's brilliantly put!
This scene, Two-Face's escape from Arkham and Bruce's encounter with the Bat should've been kept in the movie. They show the darkness and drama within the movie, and Bruce suffering if he should be Batman forever.
Release The Schumacher Cut!
That news report seemed inspired by The Dark Knight Returns comic.
And with batman year one storyline too
Man, this deleted scene shows just how good Michael Gough was as Alfred. Honestly, he was the hidden gem in the Schumacher movies. Its like he got the most character development in those movies as he became more and more of a mentor to Bruce and to Dick.
Gough will always be my favourite Alfred. Caine a close second. :)
Damn dude even Gotham had a Ben Shapiro
Underrated comment
Bruh.. Who tf is Ben Shapiro
I got a better question: What tf is a Ben Shapiro?
@@samcalderas870I’ll do one better Why TF is Ben Shapiro
Wow ! He was spot on as Batman !!
Now that we have finally gotten the Snyder Cut all I want next is the Schumacher Cut
he's dead now.
@@GetToDaChoppa-k5r yes but they can still recut it.
This scene was and is very much needed in the theatrical cut makes him trying to hang up the Cape a lot more sense, the theatrical is not clear at all why he wants to quit being Batman so much while there's still Two-Face and The Riddler at large
You would think with this year being the 25th anniversary of this underrated film and the passing of Joel Schumacher, Warner Brothers would see fit to release an uncut, director's Anniversary BATMAN FOREVER DVD/BLU-RAY Set with all cut scenes and background music restored! 🇵🇷🇺🇸😎😎😎
2:31 Bruce: I've never been in love before, Alfred.
Vick Vale and Catwoman: Am I a joke to you ?
I was about to say... 😂
Yeah especially about Selina. Woulda thought Alfred would have said something
I guess they were lust not love
@@rashidbinzamanshaan5841 that’s exactly what they were….flings. Vickie was just a relationship gone bad, when she found out he was Batman. Catwoman was a friends with benefits type of relationship where they had lustful adventures together and fed off each other. But Chase however he had a deep emotional connection with. She really understood him. There’s levels to human connection.
Exactly what I thought when I was a kid..uh Bruce aren’t forgetting about two other lovely blonde ladies?!
This scene should have stayed in.
I agree
Many are asking "What about Vicki and Selina" with the love comment but Well, Vicki was a one night stand who ended up hanging around and becoming a target for Joker. She was a chance for Bruce to open up but Joker didn't allow for that. And same with Selina, he was attracted to her and there was strong chemistry but I wouldn't call it proper love because Being Batman and Catwoman kept pulling them apart. So it was a chance at love but it never had a chance. Chase is different because Bruce from the start is into her and she is into both the cowl and the man. And because she is psychologist, would understand him.
Didn’t realize these two were together in Top Secret. Didn’t realize it until now.
Great scene that should have tken the place of the continuous toy commercial that these movies were.
Damn, that was kind of an integral scene. It would have put some more context behind Batman trying to retire in this movie
My all time favourite Batman film and still is to this day!
Bruce Wayne wouldn't know how to move on and live a normal life if he stopped being Batman .dark knight rises hit on it perfectly

"We're criminals Alfred,..."
always have been..."
And then they cut this amazing scene off, well done WB, Well done
Batman Forever Extended Cut: a bright colorful living comic with wacky visuals and loud campy villains which creates more emphasis on the broken character of Bruce Wayne and the hidden darkness within the villains of the movie.
why in the hell was this cut out in the film?
I wish it was in the film
I wish it was in the film
Because Warner Bros was more concerned about selling toys than about quality
Because more "family friendly" and "toys". If alternate universes exist, WB released a finished uncut 2 hour 40 minute version of Batman Forever in theaters
@@thenoirknight5729 Well, Kevin Smith got a copy.
We need a batman..
"Batman is my enemy" that's deep
this scene adds the diea that batman himself is leading to escalation in criminal activity difficulty
Damn, this and a few other scenes should've been included in the theatrical version.
For real. All these deleted/additional scenes should have stayed in. Batman Forever probably would have been received a lot better
Batman retire are you kidding me the city would be screwed.
I love how Alfred holds all the wisdom to life
Val is an awesome actor. He played the second best bruce wayne.🦇👍🏻
So Bruce never loved Vicky and Selina
I think he felt atracted to Vicky and Selina, but for several reasons these woman were not a good match for Bruce.
It was on a psychological level to overwhelming for Vicky that Batman and Bruce are one and the same person, she just could't cope with it.
Bruce even explaned that to Selina in Batman Returns.
Selina was a way to fucked up in her head to be suitable relationship material for any guy.
Kilmer was a great Batman but was an incredible Bruce Wayne. Though Forever is a fine film for what it was I wish Val would have been in the Burton or Nolan films.
that guy sounds like old boxing commendator(someone who commented Dempsey fights)
With this scene, it was entirely possible that Bruce Wayne retired and tried having a normal life with Dr. Meridian at the end of the movie, similar to the ending with Selina Kyle in "Dark Knight Returns".
Had Kilmar not chosen to work as Simon Templar ("The Saint") after this, he would've reduced the magnitude of the disaster that was "Batman & Robin"
Vil Kilmer: “Never been in love before”🤔
Mike Keaton: Vicki Vale (1989) & Selina Kyle (1992)
This is a great scene
I feel like if that newscaster were played by Dennis Miller,
This scene would’ve stayed in.
Or Norm Macdonald…
#releasetheschumachercut
Great scene. It should have been in the movie
Alfred was right about Bruce avenging his parents. He allowed Joker to fall to his death from a chapel.
The reporter being called Kenneth Frequency is a brilliant touch
Kenneth..what's the frequency?...lol
So basically they deleted everything that would give this movie depth.
Where's the part where he weeps to Nirvana then tells Alfred he's not his real dad?
Anyone reckon that news anchorman is a friend of JJ Jameson from Spiderman?
nice batman forever [1995] film - deleted scene - bruce and alfred !!!!
Go to her, tell her how you feel... give her every reason to accept that you're for real
It's funny, as an adult I can understand what the reporter was saying. I think they talked about this in Batman begins, about escalation.
Best scene. Why did they take it out?
I dont know but it should be
The scene that gave the movie title some kind of sense. Feels like this narrative was stripped out completely.
The reporter’s name is significant. Kenneth Frequency. In 1986, nine years before the release of this movie, respected news reporter Dan Rather was attacked while taking a stroll through a New York neighborhood. His assailant pummeled him while repeating the phrase “what is the frequency Kenneth” over and over again.
Ironically Rather’s attacker was found out to be a mentally ill person who thought the government was beaming signals into his brain, similar to what the Riddler did to people in Batman Forever.
Wow powerful scene, they should have kept it
“GNN News”
The Dark Knight reused the idea of a wacky, but lethal villain using the media to force Batman into public self-reveal (seemingly).
Val Kilmer is such a good looking Bruce and Batman. So sad Joel ruined it all
He didn't... WB did.
@@musicis1 and McDonald's
Gotham needs batman
This is my first time ever knowing this existed. Would it have been so bad to include it in the movie?
Richard Mole Two Face laugh 😂
batman forever
Never been in love? What about Vicki vale? Selina Kyle? Remember them?
Hinting at this being an other universe maybe
@@thenoirknight5729 Earlier in the same clip Alfred literally tells Bruce that his parents are avenged which was refering to The Joker from the '89 film also that is the same Alfred from the previous 2 films who went on to also be in Batman & Robin as well so no the change in directors did not cause a change in universe.
@@ohyeah6453 The Schumacher Films and the Burtonverse Batman Films are canonically not connected any longer. The CW's Crisis on Infinite Earth's made sure of that.
There's also TLJ being Harvey Dent & Two-Face instead of BDW. Elliot Goldenthal as composer (having a similar but different score) instead of Danny Elfman. Val Kilmer as Batman & Bruce Wayne instead of Michael Keaton. Gotham suddenly being a neon nightmare (not taking a dig, just saying). The Batmobiles drastic change. The Batwings drastic change. The Batcave did have a change in Batman Returns though, a pretty big one too.
Overall, this points to being another universe separate from the Burtonverse. To quote Joel Schumacher: "It's a comic book.".
Then again, that quote can be taken into a different meaning. How with writers and artists changing how Batman looks or acts when there is an established canon. Typically this is done through arcs
@@thenoirknight5729 You do have a strong point with the Harvey Dent stuff. But when it comes to Batman it was just a simple recast for Michael Keaton as they wanted him for these films but he didn't like the script. Gotham going from dark to neon just shows the difference that a change in directors can make same goes with the composers. But the first 2 Batman movies compared to the last 2 do feel like they take place in different universes. But they don't. What makes it feel like that is the change in director, writers, and Warner Bros being greedy. But I can see where you are coming from.
This scene should be in Batman the musical
The Newscaster got it deleted.
:D hahaha
Why would they delete this scene??
I am Batman, we both struggle with ourselves and our minds
Its so hard to decude between keaton and kilmer. The pair of them are legends of batman. Clooney was ok but mostly kilmer and keaton smashed their role as batman
This should have bein in the film
Calls chase and she says who is this (batgrowl) I'm batman
Van Kilmer was a better Bruce Wayne than Batman
The best
MASKS . . . OFF!
That anchor reminded me of Ben Shapiro. Dear God!!
Bro think’s he’s J Johna Jamison 💀💀 his ass ain’t J Johna Jamison

Idk why tehy changed teh news casters name, He sounded a hell of a lot like J. Gordon Godfrey.
1:19
I dont understand the part where he says that he has never been in love before. What about Vicky & Selina?
He didnt really love them
Kenapa film batman tokoh utama Bruce Wayne di ganti,
Sementara yang tetap itu Michael Gough si Alfred 4 kali dari 1989 1992 1995 1997
Michael keaton 2 kali
Val killer 1995 1 kali
George Clooney 1997 1 kali

Batman Forever: Directors Cut
((^|^))
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍👍👍👍👍👍👍🦇🦇🦇
Glad this didn’t make the cut. It really is weird
Why? How?
Val Kilmer is the worst batman ever same thing with George Clooney
How so? As far as I can see, Val is better than George Clooney as Batman. Though Clooney arguably has a better Public Bruce Wayne
Kilmer had potential, but the script was poor. If Burton was still directing, Kilmer would have been the best Batman next to Bale, Keaton, Conroy, and Pattinson.
Perhaps this could work as well. A combination of the 4. Val Kilmer’s Bruce Wayne social personality and Kilmer/Conroy Batman’s Natural Speaking Voice, mixed with Michael Keaton’s Batman Mannerisms and expressions, Christian Bale’s Bruce Wayne Mysterious but sexy Personality mixed with, Kevin Conroy’s Batman Crime solving methods, and Robert Pattinson’s Eastwood Dirty Harry attitude.
That would be the perfect Bruce Wayne and Batman performance.
Lol val is really good, get real.....George I agree with
