Im not a fan of his movies, but I like the colors and how they showed off Gotham more, I'd love to see a Batman game with this Gotham to explore, very Cyberpunk like.
Actually he took the car, he boosted the Jag? not the Jaguar, the other car, Bentley? No sir, the OTHER CAR! Lol I always liked that part when Alfred says that. LIke he was trying so hard to make Bruce figure out which car he was talking about, he didn't want to say the batmobile cuz he knew Bruce was around Nicole Kidman
I liked his Batman. His voice was awesome, along with his performance. The choreography could've been done a little better, but this is one of my favorites.
Small detail, but I love how Batman's heroic theme dies down once Robin starts hitting him. It helps to immerse the viewer onto Robin's emotional outburst.
It just shows the emotional awareness and understanding that Batman (Bruce) possesses. The acting in this movie is often overlooked. Robin conveyed how hurt he was and it really shows.
One of the most overhated/underrated sequels ever. It gets too many unfair comparisons to Batman and Robin. As a stand-alone movie, this film is entertaining and Two-Face’s portrayal is the only glaring negative IMO. And Val is an underrated Bruce/Batman.
This one wasn't bad, the writing was just a little cheesy, I loved Kilmer as Batman, O Donnel just played the wrong Robin, Jim Carrey was awesome, and Tommy had potential just had cheesy writing.
I like this scene at 4:15 because it hearkens back to the time when Batman killed the joker goon in the bell tower & Joker in Batman '89, and Penguin and the strongman goon in Returns and the repercussions that stay with Bruce because he took lives. Thats why i always felt like the Batman from 89 up to Batman & Robin was the same character and he had to deal with other demons aside from the trauma of loss: having a 2nd chance at love with Selina and losing it in Returns, the fact that he killed people and its now festered in his mind because the vision of his loss stays along with pre-Joker's silhouette in Forever to where he doesnt want someone else to become poisoned like he feels he has, and in Batman & Robin where he is apprehensive with his partner because of fear of losing his mentor/father figure.
I love how during making the film, chris odonnel insisted to drive the batmoblie himself instead of a stunt driver and then during filming, he accidentally crashed it into a curb and dented a fender 😂😂
4:14 reference to Batman returns so when he says u will find another face and another means like he killed the joker revenge is his whole life after that he found another face aka penguin then another face aka catwoman and etc
That cowl was sculpted by Jose Fernandez, who now runs Ironhead Studios which does specialty costumes for movies like this one. Fernandez was lucky enough to sculpt the cowls for four different Batmen. They included: • Michael Keaton (“Batman Returns”) • Val Kilmer (“Batman Forever”) • George Clooney (“Batman and Robin”) & • Ben Affleck (“Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice” and Zack Snyder’s “Justice League.”)
Next year marks Robin’s 85th birthday as well as the film’s 30th anniversary. IMO, the best way to celebrate would be for WB to #ReleaseTheSchumacherCut of “Batman Forever.”
I loved Val Kilmer 💗. I think he's Batman made sense now that he is a mentor. I love Michael Keaton but i think Val was great as a less unhinged Batman
If only Warner would of let Schumacher created his darker vision. Can you imagine if they bring in Jim Carrey as Scarecrow instead of The Riddler? He would of done well corrupted Jonathon Crane.
I really like this movie. It actually has some of the best Batman fight scenes, considering Returns and the Dark Knight trilogu lacked in the fight scenes
0:21 - Holy product placement, Batman! 0:41 - Cameo by En Vogue, whose song appears on the Batman Forever soundtrack. EDIT: En Vogue didn’t appear on the Batman Forever soundtrack; Brandy was singing that song.
En Vogue doesn't have the only stealth cameo in this scene. The leader of the neon gang is none other than 11-time world champion kickboxer, Don "The Dragon" Wilson.
I think WB just needed a scapegoat so they just shifted the blame to Joel. Even Joel wanted to make B&R darker like the 89 film but Warned Bros. would not allow that.
It's funny how much I loved this movie growing up and now I see these scenes and just can't get over how cheesey it was. Still a fan though, nothing but love.
This movie is such an amazing mess, but you gotta appreciate Bruce's line about vengeance, and how it's all consuming, and won't put an end to Robin's trauma. Very well written considering the otherwise over the top material, lol.
It's amazing how watching this scene it ties in Batman 89 and Returns so well. He references how killing Joker did nothing for him then Penguin and still nothing.
I totally know what you mean. Surreal for sure. Even the architectural language is very… unclear. Such grand structures and statues that pay tribute to what? It doesn’t seem to be known or discussed, but whatever significance and progression this metropolis attempted is long lost. The neon lights also enhance the uncanny, as it almost tries to induce a drug assisted light show; all to distract denizens from the urban decay. It truly is the most unique version of Gotham in my opinion.
I really like Val Kilmer's version of Batman. Calm, cool, badass and speaks when it's necessary; He doesn't waste words.
Agreed, reminds me a lot of Conroy’s Batman
I can imagine his batman in the Burton films, had that tortured side to him.
He sounds like Kevin Conroy. He did a great job as Batman.
I love that cold stare of his.
Essentially it's the same thing as Michael Keaton except Kilmer's Bruce was more of a socialite.
I just love how they had Batman massively outnumbered and they all run just at the sight of him. They don’t even bother trying to fight him.
Because he's the face of fear?
Power of the plot
This is what I hated about the scene. Some stage director off screen is yelling.. "Ok, everyone run away now"
Because they know Batman could take them all out very easily so they don't even bother to try LOL
Because Batman is like Omar
“That’s not Batman. That’s Bat-boy!!”
Idk, I always got a kick out of that LOL
They think he’s a teenager
That’s the BW for you lol 😂
One of the best scenes of the movie!!! Chris O'Donnell is a great Robin. And Batman gives us one of the best quotes.
I would like to have seen Chris come back during Infinite Crisis as an older Nightwing.
@@ajdominguez1002 me too.

3:12 Val's Batman's voice is the best especially the way he said this.
His voice is a mixture of Kevin Conroy's and Micheal Keaton's.
You missed out the best part, when Albert calls Bruce and says ''No, the other car!''
Alfred

Val Kilmer is one of the best batmen, this is exactly how I imagine Batman would act.
Pattinson, Bale, Affleck y Val Kilmer.
I agree, I think Val was probably the best Batman. Similar to the Batman Animated Series
It’s almost like Adam West.
