Definitely one of my favourite incarnations of the Batmobile. The fact that it's a muscle car on steroids plus all the gadgets Bruce has installed into it.
I only just realized how this scene highlights how unhinged Batman is before his arch concludes at the end. He gives zero f***s for the other drivers. Complete obsession for vengeance and the mission with complete disregard for the safety of the innocent.
This chase is the best in all of Batman media. They way it’s shot, directed and executed is absolutely perfect not to mention the cinematography and soundtrack. Matt Reeves makes Bruce seem like a force of nature. And I’m all for it.
This is my favorite sequence in the entire film. I love when the camera is attached to the vehicle as it feels immersive and makes us feel like we're a part of the action. So much fun.
The Batman Chase scene against the penguin was magnificent, beautiful, the soundtrack was amazing and the scene when Oswald sees Batman walking behind the iconic fire ❤
Are you kidding?..It was like something from a fast and furious movie 😂 you're easily entertained as are most of the dummies who like this movie ..worst batman ever 😂😂
The Nolan films were great in their own right- but for me this film is the single greatest depiction of Gotham we’ve had in cinema. People focus too much on Pattinson when the film as a whole is just magnificent.
The one and only action scene in the longest and worst Batman movie. Call me old, stupid I dont care. But I needec 4 times for one day break to finish watching the movie. And puting him shoulder to shoulder with Nolans trilogy is a sin. Half of my friends couldnt even watch it till the end, I barely did. And a lot of them didnt or watched it around a hour and exit the cinema.
@@adamrebellion713 Yeah you're probably better off watching mindless action movies like Transformers or Fast and Furious. Actual good movies like The Batman are clearly not suited for you. Which is fine.
this Batman Chase scene against the penguin was magnificent, beautiful, the soundtrack was amazing and the scene when Oswald sees Batman walking behind the iconic fire simply wonderful
I love how Batman and Penguin's car chase caused a ton of people to burn alive. And they're like, no big deal. Batman and Gordon just let Penguin go too. 😂
You have to imagine nobody died somehow. I feel like it was an oversight to not have shown someone coming out of the wreckage to show "miraculously nobody died," or Batman saying "you almost killed people on the road tonight" to have Penguin rebuttle "I wasn't the one chasing me!?!"
I dont care what anyone says this movie was absolutely amazing had me on the edge of my seat the entire time plot twists were insane the ending with the flare scene perfectly inbodys batman and what he stands for
The soundtrack and cinematography throughout this scene are breathtaking. At 3:50, when the Batmobile bursts from the flames, it was amazing, with the engine's roar and the Penguin's expression of terror perfectly capturing the essence of Batman's unstoppable force.
This was definitely my favorite part of the Movie. Especially when the. Batmobile jumps out of the right here (3:50)!!! Awesome sound effects. It brings my hair’s standing.
The only person penguin scared of, and I came here to act like this is the scene where the Batman chases the penguin and beats him up for what hes done to Victor
I mean this when I say this. That was the greatest car chase scene I've ever seen especially for the origin story of a character in a franchise and for a Batman franchise too. No one can name one better. The bat mobile was at an all time high here
This chase is the best in all of Batman media. They way it’s shot, directed and executed is absolutely perfect not to mention the cinematography and soundtrack. Matt Reeves make’s Bruce seem like a force of nature. And I’m all for it.
@Zoxxies I love how this Batmobile feels borderline evil. It looks and sounds like a malevolent predator chasing down its prey. It's only onscreen for a short time but it has level of menace no other Batmobile had ever possessed.
Got to be my favorite batmobile, its just so perfect for the younger and more batman. No fancy tricks no unique eye catching design, just a jet engine and a whole lot of metal. Just a hammer against the nail that batman thinks crime it. Also classic charger cant be beat.
The fact that Matt Reeves said Batman Part II will be more ambitious, just imagine bigger scenes with more experienced Batman, Matt is the king of character development and world-buildig, can't wait to see what unfolds!
Every car guy / comic fan leaned forward with a toothy grin during this entire scene!! Watched a few dudes upfront jump up pumping their fist!! Music, atmosphere and well this incarnation of the "hot rod" batmobile was excellent!!
You never seen any of the Mad Max movies then? I’m not talktjust about Fury Road...but some of the scenes in the 1979 original and especially for Mad Max 2/The Road Warrior....or you never seen Gone in 60 Seconds, both versions of it, or Bullitt, Death Race 2000(forget the remakes), Vanishing Point , or indeed Tarantinos homage to all that with Death Proof?? Or how about the car chase in the Matrix Reloaded...there is no way this chase would have happened without standing on the shoulders of that Matrix scene... There are tons of shades of the 89 Batman, Batman Forever , The Dark Knight and the scene in. Batman v Superman too...this film had its chase built on the shoulders of many films and it’s great sure, but it’s nothing special in car chases
Before his activities as Batman, Bruce Wayne (Robert Pattinson) uses a muscle car (a 1969 Dodge Charger) during street races on the streets of Gotham City with other teenagers during his teenage years. It proves helpful during one incident of sabotage. He even used the car and had it modified to pursue other criminals. Aside from the driver's seat, most of the car had been removed to house its afterburn engine and other equipment.
I would say Matt Reeves really elevated this movies epicness on how he shot it. If he does more of these for DC, and make a ton of money for them. I would put him higher to my top Directors, like James Cameron, James Wan & JJ Abrams. All of them are J's. lol
Thats some cinematography. When i first went to zee the movie i was skeptical about pattison cause i just knew him in twilight but seeing made me be like ok yeah he can pull it off. Looking forward to the sequal.
As a BATMAN live action film fan. I have a lot to say about this EPIC car chase scene. " The Dark Knight " car chase scene was GREAT. The Director, Pattinson & Farrel really delivered. The fact that i didnt know " Penguin " was played by Collin Farrel really when i first watch the film in the theatres was embarrassing to me. When he yells his best line of the film, " YEAHHH,, i got you. " Then he delivers anorher reaction by opening his eyes wide really makes the scene. It really establishes Pattinson as The New Batman.
Penguin probably killed more people with that stunt than Riddler killed in the whole movie, and Batman just lets him go after this scene and its played for laughs. Its one of the things that nags me about this movie every time I see it.
1._ riddler plan killed hundreds, entire blocks of people who just drowned or got crushed by all the rubble 2._ they couldnt really do anything to him, he could just walk away, the whole police department is corrupt, might as well just let him there, shackled so at least it would be difficult for him to set himself free
In the Penguin series (which is based after The Batman) the Penguin still has his purple Maserati, but yet we clearly see it getting written off here, when I started to watch the Penguin series, I INSTANTLY said "hang on how does he still have the Maserati" Perhaps someone could help me with this, unless he bought the exact same car again, same colour and modified it exactly the same, I don't think so somehow.
Colin Farrell crushed this movie. I love how he's laughing when he says, "This guys crazy!" To me, the laugh is basically saying,"Crazy... just like I am!" But then Batman follows him into oncoming traffic, and he starts getting more serious 😂
The Director: Is trying very Hard Very hard to be different"and Is too lost in choreography of the chase - The Camera angels and Placements...But Totally Forgot about the audience's Feel - The audience That's why this will fail the test of time. What's amazing to me is that this scene is all practical! No joke. The Batmobile really jumped through fire, and the Penguin's car really flipped! It's great that practical effects are returning, and I have to give Matt Reeves all of the credit he deserves!
The Batman (2022), alongside The Suicide Squad (2021), are the best DC projects that are superior than the DCEU and hoping the best to come with Joker 2 (2024) and Superman Legacy (2025)
Definitely one of my favourite incarnations of the Batmobile. The fact that it's a muscle car on steroids plus all the gadgets Bruce has installed into it.
The most practical, realistic batmobile
Amen to that! it looks like a custom made '70 Charger (or Plymouth Cuda).
Love the astethics and the powerful engine sound!.
I love how it looks almost handmade, but just technological enough to justify a rich dude made it
@@danielramadelcastillo8890 The silhouette reminds me of a Plymouth Road Runner, but I might be wrong.
The look on Penguin’s face when he sees the Batmobile roar out of the flames is priceless. Like a rabbit about to be snatched by a wolf.

Beautiful? Dark and rainy. You can't see anything. It was pretty dull

When he spools up the engine before the chase was an epically awesome scene
The Nolan films were great in their own right- but for me this film is the single greatest depiction of Gotham we’ve had in cinema. People focus too much on Pattinson when the film as a whole is just magnificent.
