You're absolutely right! The fact that this is a young and inexperienced Batman makes the movie even more captivating. I love the dark theme to this film. Something I’ve noticed is, unlike other films, Batman doesn’t try to stop and save the people on the road. When everything blew up, he knew there was no hope for the civilians that were caught in that. He just continued hunting The Penguin.
I think I’m the next film he’ll act different. This movie was all about him learning he is not vengeance, but something more important. His raw aggression in this chase puts his “I am vengeance” mentality on full display. I believe a more experienced Batman would know to quietly pursue penguin, instead of this chase that caused tons of injuries and collateral damage. Time will tell!
Aside from the fact that the whole scene is extremely good, the part that is upside down is just unbelievably awesome. It almost has something of Alien³ about it. The awe-filled horror in Penguin's eyes as he suddenly realizes WHAT he's dealing with and the "Xenomorph" then leans down towards him. And with this music! This scene is gigantic. Let's not forget the fact that he saw that thing racing towards him and his first thought was "Fuck it, let's dance." This Cobblepot is a lot of things, but "coward" clearly ain't one of them.
And now, 2 years later, he was just revealed to have been Sofia Falcone's driver in the show...
That slow motion walk while the music builds up is basically telling everybody that he's the sheriff in these parts
Batman: Reach for the Sky!
Who came here after The Penguin finale
Those who know☠️
💀@@daevld
Holy shit, man. This reignited what i felt in the fucking cinema... 10/10 movie.
The look on Penguin gave of the feeling “That is not a man, ITS A DEMON!” When Batman was walking towards him! 🤩
2:46 anyone else laughed at his scream lmao
anyone here after finishing The Penguin? kinda makes you wonder how a guy like Penguin can look so cool in his own tv series, but becomes nothing when up against The Batman?
Because that's Batman.
The way his footsteps in the rain sounded when he slowly approached the car gave me chills
But the way he bends down to see penguin 💀💀💀
@@calvin_Floyddagoat ten out of ten.
collin farrel is such an amazing actor. he convinced us that he drove that car in the darnest climate with all the close up shots .
Love the shots
tbh, never imagined at all that he was actually colin farrell, until i read it before watching the movie, so the make up team was amazing as well.
Seeing oz’s car go flying hits different after the finale 😁
The thing I love about the movie is that this is a young Batman, he’s still learning the ropes. He has no Batwing or fancy gear yet, and the Batmobile is just an amoured car with a jet engine attached. It’s so rugged and jury-rigged and I love it.
You're absolutely right! The fact that this is a young and inexperienced Batman makes the movie even more captivating. It's amazing to see a Batman who hasn't yet acquired all the high-tech gadgets and vehicles. The Batmobile being a rugged and jury-rigged armored car just adds to the rough-around-the-edges charm. It shows how the character is finding his way and building his iconic arsenal as he goes. It's refreshing to see a more grounded and raw portrayal of Batman.
Penguin is literally terrified of Battinson! thats the fear I love to see in criminals
No shit.
Battinson????🤣 again?
I just finished the penguin's last episode i had to see this scene again 10× more satisfying
The most badass Batman moment in all history of character
Yes, the moment he killed a bunch of civillians on the highway just cause......
@@FernandoMartinez-pv1id maybe Penguin?
@@dis_inferno9173 remind me who was toying with Penguin the whole time and doing nothing to even attempt to stop him in the process...........
@@FernandoMartinez-pv1id yeah, Batman was childish here, but all the damage was because of Penguin actions. He created diversion on the road to stop Batman.
Watching the Penguin series made this even more satisfying
2:37 I knew the Batmobile was going to survive that. But even with that, they managed to give me a big freaking goosebump, because of the Music, the shot, and the Roar of the Batmobile.
It actually looks like a freaking Demon coming out of the flames...
They didn't tape this like an action hero chase. You get goosebumps because they filmed it like a horror movie.
@@DmpstrPirate The violin really gives you that feeling.
From penguin's viewpoint, you're not seeing a hero, you're seeing an unstoppable monster.
3:07 almost feels like the end of a cowboy duel with that music
“Nothings standing in your way now”
0:54 .. honestly love that they showed the speed. It doesn’t exaggerate into some ridiculous speed like 180+ mph.. it shows realistic highway speeds (70 mph) that they’re now just passing. It’s the small details for me. Idk.
I realized that too , yeah they did show realistic speed ( 70-100 mph ) bcz it’s impossible to speed up more than that with a highway with moderate traffic
0:57. Some people criticize big block American V8 engines, but listen to the hellacious sound they make. Penguins expensive Maseratti sounds like an angry weed trimmer.
Nothing sounds better than a built LS motor.
Here after watching The Penguin finale. God i want Batman to pulverize Oz.
What an incredible chase sequence. The sound...omg the sound of the damn batmobile in my theater when I first saw this was AMAZING! You could literally feel the engine in the seats. I can't waaaaiiittt for the sequel!!!!
You're letting smoke and mirrors cloud your judgement on what was objectively a poorly put together scene where Batman kills a bunch of civillians for no good reason.
@@FernandoMartinez-pv1id
A: he dosent really kill them as the wreck was more or less a product of Penguin, not Batman
B: like, one of the main points in the film is that he is batman in year 2, hes still a rookie whos full of anger and malice of his parents death, hes only vengeance, he isent justice yet
So yea hes more focused on ending the reign of his enemies rather then saving people, again thats one of the major parts of his character arc in the film, cause at the end hes leading everyone out of the flood n shit
2:18 absolutely vaporized that bin
the music at 1:21 was really good it's giving the sense of danger from the penguins perspective
He shouldn’t have let him get away. Justice for V
2:29 reminds me of how he was doing Salvatore when he had a heart attack 🤣
This hits different after season finale...
This scene is just terrifying, the end scene with the cut to Batman just observing Penguin through the broken car window is horrifying....
In 1989, as a nine-year-old, I saw Batman in the cinema and I was completely blown away. But THIS would have killed me back then.
Keaton's Batman will always have a place in my heart, but The Batman is undisputedly the best we've ever gotten.
1:56 that part when he yells always makes me laugh you can see how terrified he is of Batman.
after watching the penguin it really made me appreciate this movie more. he really feels like a myth or a boogieman as if he’s always watching just waiting for u to slip up
Brother the show is not even over yet and you couldn’t wait until it was to make this comment huh
@@adamxx3 dude there’s one episode left + im not glazing the show, it just made me think “damn he’s doing all this shit knowing he’s attracting some random dude in a bat costume that comes by to fuck them up. he could come thru at any time in the series” it’s like mr.x in resident evil 2
3:41
*Dramatic music intensifies and then stops*
Batman: "...Got a light?"
Had to watch this after what he did to Vic 😢
You just had to be there at the theater for this scene. The surround sound, the rain sound just everything you had to be there to experience it
Penguin mag dumps into batmans window from point blank and then he sees nothing got through, and that look that comes over his face like "i might have fucked up"
This whole scene sounded absolutely amazing in the theatre. The sounds of the batmobile are incredible. 🙌
Two years later and it's a masterpiece.. love it how bats here feel afraid and behave like a rookie when he is chasing penguin.
Man this movie is so much better after watching the penguin
This Batman is scary because he is inevitable. Just an unstoppable force of rage.
Who's here after the penguin killed Vik?
You came here because at first you liked oz due to the series but later hated him after he killed victor
It was only a matter of time. Vic made his choice tho, sorry not sorry
RIP Vic
you just spoiled me
If you ONLY hated him cos he killed Victor I don’t think you were watching the series at all 💀
Honestly, well before he killed Vic, I was wondering who I was supposed to root for… because it sure as Helheim wasn’t Oz.
2:52 such a cool shot
Toda esta escena es perfecta! Desde la fotografía, la banda sonora, la dirección, en mi opinión una de las mejores escenas del cine de superhéroes.
Para mi es la mejor junto con e salto de fe en Into the Spiderverse
@@fabianlima9367 yeah but that was animation
@@Crqnkibut you can't deny that both were amazing scenes

Good Lord……..1:29-1:33 is the most gorgeous shot as a road rage V10 Batmobile view that I’ll repeat in my head for the rest of my life.
Holy I didn’t even catch this your so right bro
@@aryandubey9669 bro, like….I’m blown away that nobody besides me caught this moment from the 3rd official trailer and in the movie and that nobody else talks about it but me 🥲❤️🔥
Correction! It’s actually a V8 putting out 650HP! Not a V10! Such an orgasmic sound it has 🤤🤤
@@Ariel_6277 wait really? I thought they said it was a custom V10 engine with some or possibly many parts were 3D printed in metal to make some of the design/engineering to work in the way with the look that Matt Reeves was wanting to achieve.
@@Ariel_6277 but I do know that they had built 3 gas-using Batmobiles and 1 electric Batmobile because of some difficult shots because of the rumbling power of the engine
This more humble approach with a big block/small jet engine combo for the Batmobile is genius, this is a Batman who gives ZERO fucks
Oz Cobb = This city is mine and no one can stop me
The Dark Knight > 2:37
How’s nobody talking about 2:20?! The pure frustration… then him channeling it into the Batmobile as he hits the boost. C’mon man. At that point he said “I’m done playing.”
The Batmobile looks and sounds so damn cool
2:29 the strings, the engine roar, the slowmo....it's perfect.
03:08
the moment, the music , the walk, the fire everything is out of the chart.. and the goosebumps while watching this on cinema hall. it was one of the best moment of my life 💘
I love how they made batman like an urban legend among the criminals of Gotham, like a haunting presence you can never shake off,as if at any moment, he can spring out at you. I also really like how this batman doesn't have all the fanciest gadgets in the world, but he is still just as capable as any other batman.
that's what some people didn't understand from the first scene. the thugs he beat didn't recognize it was Batman until his boss was destroyed and he talked, even more considering it was Halloween during the filmic time of the scene, so they thought that it was just a madman trying to be impressive, too bad it was THE madman they were facing XD
