Nice UZJ100. That jump was no sweat for a stock Land Cruiser. The 100 and 105 series Land Cruisers are used as the #1 armored vehicle for Special Forces and Military Contractors in Afghanistan and Iraq. They armor the hell out of them and they are the most reliable vehicle in the desert, as well as the rest of the planet.

Glad to know my 99 L/C would survive a jump like that, but i'm not putting it through that. They are incredibly tough, mines at 140K now and still feels new, best vehicle ive ever owned by far.

No serious off road driver would attempt a 90 degree aproach angle like that. 45 degrees would allow you to maintain traction, using wheel articulation in opposite corners allows you to keep as many wheels on the ground as possible and prevents hangups. Jumping in a LC100 is sheer madness.
my parents have one of these an 06, as much as i thought it was geared more towards comfort its AWD is pretty good, it beets my FJ cruisers 4WD by far in the snow

It make just look like a common SUV, but make no mistake about it, these babies are built for the harshest conditions and environments on Earth.

No sé qué son esas bandejas que dices, pero no se ha reventado ni malogrado nada. El coche lleva dos años funcionando a la perfección desde entonces.
Actually this land cruiser has no LSD. The more upscale LX470 does, but this particular car doesn't. You might be thinking of a center locking differential, which sends power evenly to the front and back.
what is the size of the lift kit and the tyres fixed on this LC. Impresive performance.

It's obvious that LC's do amazing things... but that hard scratching on the belly of that car will lead to some damages later... cool jump though.

Ouch! Ok, it's nice & impressive and I know that LCs are of very good quality, but driving it like that will sooner or later cause something to break.

As I explained in the first comments, I was just testing the diff locks and how they help to get unstuck when you lose traction. This is in no way meant to be proper offroading technique. Then I suddenly went berserk... and took a leap. BTW, one and a half year later I'm still enjoying my truck, even more.

this car is great but i heard if you take it offroad and a wheel hits hard in a pothole it would damage the suspension
Hi, my car suffered no damage *at all*. I don't what Toyotas you're thinking about... Corolla perhaps? ;-) I would't take he risk again though, it was just an irrational impulse. I don't know what richess has to do with this issue. BTW, thes is no LX470 in our market, but our LC100 has most of the fancy stuff of the LX, like AHC suspension, electric powered everything, etc.
