I decided to watch your video and do some troubleshooting. Checked all the connector plugs. It seems to working now. Maybe something got loose. Anyway, you saved me some money! Thanks again.
We do label this video for the 2006-2007. It should be the same. However, it is rare for a wire to come loose from a factory stereo, check ALL fuses too. There are some under the hood near the battery too.
Can I use this tutorial as a guide to remove a 2008-2009 Sat. VUE stereo? The stereo is the same one. Is it a similar process? Thanks a lot all comments in advance.

After disconnecting my battery for about 2 minutes to change to a new car battery, my 2007 Vue stock radio (with MP3 CD player and XM radio) is completely dead. Two fuses in a fuse cluster are perfectly fine (zero ohms). Radio has no display (no clock display either). Not sure whether it needs reset or something else is wrong. Could be loose connection somewhere. Not sure whether in the back of the radio there is a fuse too. Thanks for posting this video. I may open it up to find out. If someone can give me a hint, it will be appreciated. If I need to buy another one, eBay has several available.
+William Miller Notice he never disconnected the battery, the instrument cluster still shows lights on as he left the car's switch on. Good video but very sloppy guy.
My wife’s Vue is doing the same thing. Had to disconnect the battery and put a new one in and no radio at all. No power to it but the fuses are fine. There has to be an answer somewhere.
What a hack !!! On any GM ....... Do not undo the power system........Hack !!!! Job not done correctly..... Any time you remove electronic components ***** SECURE the POWER*****.........HACK !!!!

There are similarities.
question why when you are removing the radio, is the ignition on. The ignition should be off in case of a short.

Just because he didn't want to put it back into park. YOu can't remove the key until you put it back into park.
you are dealing with plugs so you can not ground them out.
Bet money this guy can hot wire a car in no time.

The lights to my stereo broke. I can hear the music and radio but the lights broke does anyone know if I have to replace the whole stereo??
