Eonon makes a double din touch screen head unit that directly replaces the GM unit. It looks and sounds awesome! And best part, it fits and looks stock.
Hi. Thanks for the video. Just a couple of questions to clarify. 1. Does that unit have Apple CarPlay? 2. The CarAmps site is not working for me. How did you know which harness to order to connect the new radio with the cars wiring? 3. Have you upgraded your speakers, amp, etc?
@@CustomAmishSheds No this does not have car play, I'm not sure I just googled Saturn sky harness and they were the first ones to pop up, No I kept the original speakers
Sorry, but the manufacturer says this item is NOT compatible with the 2007 Solstice GXP. My radio guy says the same thing. Something having to do with the wiring harness, which controls alot more than just the radio.
Besides the steering wheel controls everything works, navigation, Bluetooth, chimes for the seat, doors and turn signals. And after a bit of trimming everything fits perfectly. Some people have even thought it was OEM
Hi, have you ever known of anyone who's been successful in adding a late model head unit in a Saturn? I'd prefer to add a genuine GM product and have my factory buttons work on my steering wheel and also have Bluetooth & GPS functionality. Thanks!
@alexchavez1011 cool beans thanks for sharing. Sure would be great to drop in a late model head unit with GPS on and Bluetooth and backup camera capabilities
@@alexchavez1011 interesting how did you wire them in? i had a similar radio, but the face was impossible to remove, but got steering wheel controls to work.
@@oneal2003 yeah I could be Wi-Fi or RUclips just not posting for whatever reason. Yes I bought my dash cam from car amp I think it took about 2 weeks or so for them to ship it out to me

Does the Eonon unit allow you to use the steering wheel controls?
Extra props to you for having a manual transmission!!
#SaveTheManuals
Definitely enjoy it so being a manual
Bro, I just bought an Opel GT (identically to a Saturn Sky) and I'm about to change the stereo, thanks for the video!
No problem glad it helped you out
Looks great man gotta see it in person
Definitely do looks so much better
Is the screen viewable with the top down in a sunny day? That is my main concern. Thanks!
Great question!!!

Glad you got well, I enjoy your videos, do they have a dash kit and wiring for a 2008 Solstice? It really makes your Saturn's dash area look great
Yes they do they make the kit for both the sky and solstice

Do you think the automatic version shifter would hit screen when in park???
No I think it would be tight but I don't think it would hit it
was the actual screen removable for install? how was that? also do you have steering controls working?
Yes the screen is removable just slides on and off and has one connector. No I never got the steering wheel controls to work

Does the monsoon amp system work with an aftermarket head unit
It should I see no reason why not. The wiring harness might be different but it should work with an aftermarket head unit no problem
Was yours a monsoon?

What’s your insta? I have some questions about your wheels, I’m thinking of ordering from the same supplier you did. Thanks
