Exactly. So many rude comments calling them gross. So borrow minded. You have a healthy approach. Life's to short to worry about what other people are happy about.
The one polycule I have known personally did not involve children. However, the biology behind female monogamy really clicked for me when I saw an MTV program called "Sex In The 90s", in the late 1990s, about polyamory, and specifically a show about a woman with two husbands, one legal, the other common-law, I guess. Okay, what if she gets pregnant? As for that three-way, the third member left before the program even aired, the married couple divorced a few years after that, and he has since died, most likely by suicide.
I didn’t want the interview to be over. I love these people ❤ congratulations to them for finding each other & I hope they continue having this wonderful relationship!! ❤
Loved this interview, they were absolutely lovely and so down to earth about it! I am poly as well and love when it is served in the right light and context because it is not so scary and evil, it is just another way to do things on earth while we are here! We should be open to experiences with the people we love and who love us right back!.
I'm monogamous. My husband and I want no other than each other, BUT this couple answered a lot of "how does that work questions?"They seem to have a lot of communication, which was surprising to learn. I would not nor want that life, but I'm not here to judge others who do. I hope they are all living their happiest unusual life. Life is short. Just stay in my lane wishing everyone the best as I drive by. I found my happy I think if the world can find their own happy, the world would be a better place.
You know the definition of well adjusted means “their behavior is not difficult or strange and they are reasonable and have good judgement.” These people are not well adjusted people in society. 😂
I don’t believe in polyamory at all, but these people seem surprisingly in tune with themselves and each other, and really seem to I suppose “go about it” in a respectful manner with one another. They seem like genuinely honest people who aren’t hiding anything.

Internet has been a game-changer for people finding each other. "weird" people now have an avenue to find each other, express themselves, and also to dig deeper into whatever thing they were curious about or fantasising about. Before, people were forced to be more closeted about things because there was no way of finding others like yourself. I also think that the internet has led to people going way deeper into weird stuff than they would have ever done without it.
There was more of a healthy social fabric back in the day. Now the weirdness is an aftereffect of people being more encouraged to follow their darker and lower impulses.
In my early 30s I met a girl like that, she had me talk to her husband on the phone before we met in person and all he wanted me to do is respect and treat his wife good. It was the most bazzar thing I have ever encountered. She was wild and into everything and then some, whatever I wanted to do was fine with her, I was vanilla before meeting her and she showed me some really wild times
Doesn't this get confusing? A and B are married, they bring in C, who is also married to D, and D sometimes joins in. On the side of that are E and F, who, I think, see A and B, plus A and E see each other outside of the rest, add that to swinging, and poly-way too many, I could never keep track of it all. Throw in heirachy and I'm done! On a side note, we're all human, with emotions we can't always control, and this can go wrong in SO MANY ways. It's easy enough to say you won't get emotionally involved when you meet someone, but who can guarantee that? This is a minefield, the next step could blow your leg off.
I see a lot of people commenting about the risk of STDs in poly relationships. Most poly relationships have a general rule that you use external protection (condoms, etc.) with new partners, and are tested regularly anyway. It all relies on trust. Just like monogamous relationships trust their partner not to cheat on them and get an std, poly partners trust their partners to take necessary precautions to protect themselves and their polycule.
HPV and herpes can be transmitted even with condoms. And men can't be tested for HPV. It is risky, just a risk that all involved have to be aware of and agree to.
I absolutely love these people! My favorite interview to date. I feel like they are the most well adjusted, content, organic people ive seen. I feel like its because they were blessed enough to find their tribe!

These are the people that never got this out of their system in their youth. They weren’t pretty or handsome and it didn’t come easy. So they have to have an adult adolescence.
It would be difficult for me to be in a polyamorous relationship but I get it. Especially when you need something that you’re not getting at home & another person can give it to you. Sounds interesting indeed & I’m happy they figured it out amongst themselves. No secrets.
Typically no, but they’ve been doing it for 9 years. It seems to be working for them right? It won’t work with most people because honesty and jealousy is the big issue
@@tydupont8084 seems to be? Things aren't always as they seem. When you know you have an audience, youred say anything. Behind the scenes in real life, i think there would be more issues than it's worth.

I totally agree..but they must have known that at the least 5 million people around the world would see this episode (from hos folliwers) and judge...they were made aware by Mark about that for sure...so I say let them do them..I am a married woman and know I am attractive and would love to have 2 husband's but being fairly attractive to folks ..no one wants to share...
These people are very caring, loving, and emotionally mature.
They are also very knowledgeable about ethical, consensual polyamory.
Their kids are lucky to live in a home filled with so much love and respect and caring, its a great example.
They are putting in the hard work to do polyamory successfully, and reaping all the benefits that it brings.
I wish them all continued happiness and joy in life.

Well as an American I am all for absolute freedom. As long as you aren't hurting someone else live your life how you want.
@@thomasdavison7184 More people need to learn this concept. It doesn’t have to be my cup of tea for me to say cheers to them for finding what makes them happy. They get to choose what happiness looks like for them just as I get to choose what makes me happy. We don’t all have to be the same with the same beliefs.
This is hurting my gag reflex 😂
My religious beliefs aside, this dynamic definitely will hurt and affect their children’s lives dramatically
Exactly. So many rude comments calling them gross. So borrow minded. You have a healthy approach. Life's to short to worry about what other people are happy about.
Having an opinion on it doesn't impact their freedom to do it.

I will never understand poly couples with kids in the home 😬
The one polycule I have known personally did not involve children. However, the biology behind female monogamy really clicked for me when I saw an MTV program called "Sex In The 90s", in the late 1990s, about polyamory, and specifically a show about a woman with two husbands, one legal, the other common-law, I guess. Okay, what if she gets pregnant?
As for that three-way, the third member left before the program even aired, the married couple divorced a few years after that, and he has since died, most likely by suicide.
So much
Brett's body language isn't looking too amorous to me
He look like he don’t like the dynamic 😂
Going between the two men and having other sexual relationships with others = walking STI risk!
They are well adjusted people. I appreciate the candid interview. I understand this lifestyle better. Thank you!!
You know the definition of well adjusted means “their behavior is not difficult or strange and they are reasonable and have good judgement.” These people are not well adjusted people in society. 😂
Loved this interview Mark. Great one! It gave me and mine a discussion
👀😅
I don’t believe in polyamory at all, but these people seem surprisingly in tune with themselves and each other, and really seem to I suppose “go about it” in a respectful manner with one another. They seem like genuinely honest people who aren’t hiding anything.

Great Interview 😎
I love Felix so much - the duality of the men + how vastly different they are was so beautiful
when I was younger, it didn’t seem like there were so many weird people out there like there is now
Internet has been a game-changer for people finding each other.
@@Looch1717
I really think a lot of people should have stayed closeted with something like this.
@@Looch1717
You're correct, I was gonna say the same thing.
The internet has skewed society so much.

@@brysoncain7506I’m crying 😭😭😭😭😭 literally in tears rofllllllllllllllll
I have found my people.
Imagine this is your mom or dad. Wow
With the amount of abusive or absent dads out there, I’d bet there’s a lot of people who would prefer a loving poly parent to what they have
happy mom and dad?
Dont be a bigot
I wish this would've been my biggest problem with my father growing up
I absolutely love these people! My favorite interview to date. I feel like they are the most well adjusted, content, organic people ive seen. I feel like its because they were blessed enough to find their tribe!
Polyamorous relationships just seem like one big HPV party
It's really great they've found each other. This lifestyle might not be for everyone but they are just being open and honest....and happy with themselves 😊 It's not my cup of tea but I certainly enjoyed watching them sharing their experience
Slipknot is ready to enter the witness protection program 😂 Great interview, though. I LOVE learning about different lifestyles and perspectives. You the man, Mark! I'm a better therapist because of you!!!
Exactly what I thought they’d look like
😂😂💯
Yeah that's why they are all sleeping together, because no one else wants to jump in the sheets with them.
That's just rude. On this channel, judging doesn't work.
The husband looks a little jealous of Brett, seems she likes Brett too, constantly going for his hand.Brett is so emotionally connected to her,he looks hurt when she mentions about other boyfriends.
These are the people that never got this out of their system in their youth. They weren’t pretty or handsome and it didn’t come easy. So they have to have an adult adolescence.
Sums it up nicely. Something rather juvenile about their understanding of relationships and their actual role in society at large.
or maybe they just wanna fucc two people.
Very good point !
Astute observation 😂💯👍
So basically the pretty people peeked in HS and these people are peeking now?
They all seem so happy! She has a brilliant personality , actually they all do. Happy for them !
Props to these folks, I could never live this lifestyle personally.

This is terrifying… all I can think of is the amount of std’s that are potentially in the mix 😷
Terrifying? What if they just get regularly tested? Not that terrifying if you’re responsible
@@katiechaz1208 sure that would be great but 1 thing I’ve learnt in life is you can’t rely on humans to be responsible.
And testing is AFTER the fact. So you can have an STD and spread it, but not test positive right away.
Exactly… the three of them, plus slip knots partner, all daring other people who are all dating other people… they said that they’ve slept with some a$$holes… it only takes one person who isn’t regularly tested or faked it/ only just contracted and there could be a pretty large outbreak.

It’s shallow happiness and ever fleeting. But it’s their cup of tea
@@maepicnic2460 My guess is that Shannon is the happiest on this arrangement ... if she was repressed and had individualism issues in the prior marriage - this would certainly be quite a freeing alternative for her. I do appreciate their honesty in all of it, and yep, it wouldn't be for me, but if they do support each others' families and the kids, then that's a better dynamic than some straight, monogamous relationships which may be dysfunctional. I have a live-and-let-live attitude, as long as kids aren't being neglected or abused in any home situation.
