Agreed and everyone always overlooks Pat too, the bass is killer. it's like the More than Words days where everyone who heard the song thought that Gary and Nuno were a duo.
If you've never seen this band live and they are playing anywhere near you...Go! Two hours of non-stop incredible talent, energy, and musicianship from all four guys! Doesn't matter if they are playing a smaller club or an arena, they give everything they have up on that stage!
The feeling I get from this solo is Nuno saying "Hey Eddie, I'll take it from here my brother"! So much of this solo is reminiscent of Eddie's early playing! Genius song combining drop D power chords from today's era with everything that made a Van Halen solo special! Nuno is the ONLY guy who could pull this off!
He loves Eddie, so if anything, it was to honor him. I’ve never seen so many people talking about one guitar solo the last couple weeks. I hope this starts a fire for heavy rock bands again that make great songs instead of noise. That hasn’t happened in a while.
@@JohnMegaton2062 I absolutely agree! I'm old enough to remember the first time I heard eruption as it was the same type of chatter when it was released. I also remember when Extreme hit the scene in the late 80's and I remember saying to myself, "this is the first player I've heard who has a flare like Eddie's"! Eddie was the greatest rock, rhythm player ever and he doesn't get enough credit for that. Lots of guys can player blistering solos but only a few can combine killer rhythm chops, along with solos that fit those chops, like Eddie and Nuno!
Did Extreme discover the secret to immortality or something? They don't look older, their energy has not lessened and their music has only gotten edgier. They live up to their name, that's for sure. Rock on Extreme! \m/

Beato is great - I hope his snowball continues to grow, VERY cool solo from Nuno!!!! The melody/vocals sounds a little ripped from the late-great Scott Weiland. Just a product of all things 90s here and this ones sounds a little too close to an STP vocals. I still love this but I really hope that is an "homage" to Weiland.

That's all straight up Nuno. The palm muted runs, into a delay. That's flight of the bumblebee. The bitcrusher is new. I'd like to know which peddle he's using - or if it's in post. I totally agree that it feel's like they walked out of cryosleep from 1992, and fed on metal from the last 20 years through a tube. The harmonic treatment is modern. Great song! Feels good man.

I like everybody is blown away by Nuno. But there is NO WAY the drummer should be over looked in this song. Holy shit!! He puts the backbone in this song from beginning to end!!
Agreed and everyone always overlooks Pat too, the bass is killer. it's like the More than Words days where everyone who heard the song thought that Gary and Nuno were a duo.
Yes he's a killer drummer as Paul Geary was and fit like a glove!
K-Fig!!!!

Yeah he's beatin it down good
Pat Badger and Kevin Figueiredo are the most criminally underrated rhythm section ever…
One of the sickest guitar solos ever recorded. Insane.
Well stated.
Absolutely!
and it s not even in his top 10 solos imho
If you've never seen this band live and they are playing anywhere near you...Go! Two hours of non-stop incredible talent, energy, and musicianship from all four guys! Doesn't matter if they are playing a smaller club or an arena, they give everything they have up on that stage!
The feeling I get from this solo is Nuno saying "Hey Eddie, I'll take it from here my brother"! So much of this solo is reminiscent of Eddie's early playing! Genius song combining drop D power chords from today's era with everything that made a Van Halen solo special! Nuno is the ONLY guy who could pull this off!
buckethead.....can pull off anything.....facts
I had the same reaction, like I was watching a respectful nod at EVH and he was nodding back... gooosebumps everywhere and a smile...
@@jibobarrow8350 no way! He has the technical abilities but not the groove or feel of Nuno and Eddie!
Lots of guys can player blistering solos but only a few can combine killer rhythm chops, along with solos that fit those chops, like Eddie and Nuno!
what a comeback! Nuno is on FIRE, what an incredible solo
🔥💯
Not to mention Pat and Gary sounding awesome as well.
Finally new Nuno solos!!!! So happy. He sounds good & charged up!
Good Chorus !!
@@johnwhite8114 Kesha loves it!
What a killer song ! Nuno shows again that he is stll one of the most incredible guitarist that ever walked on Earth.
Nuno's secret is in the way he writes his solos. The playing sounds extremely difficult while actually being pretty simple.
Did Extreme discover the secret to immortality or something? They don't look older, their energy has not lessened and their music has only gotten edgier. They live up to their name, that's for sure. Rock on Extreme! \m/
Gary and Nuno are both in their 60's right? they look like they are half their age and their energy on stage is waaay spectacular than any band. They are all over the place running and making the crowd pumped up.
Maybe they went vegan and started to do yoga or something:)
They moisturize. 😉
Just drugs
ACDC still rocking in their 90s 😂
Welp! Thank you Rick Beato for the heads up about this Solo and the hype was true!!!! That solo just melted my face!!!!! That was PERFECT!!!!
And an additional hats off to Rick for his most recent interview with Nuno!
Rick Beato is a must watch for those that love great rock music!
Beato is great - I hope his snowball continues to grow,
VERY cool solo from Nuno!!!! The melody/vocals sounds a little ripped from the late-great Scott Weiland.
Just a product of all things 90s here and this ones sounds a little too close to an STP vocals. I still love this but I really hope that is an "homage" to Weiland.
@@mikepasichnuk5197 I couldn't agree more on the Scott melody/vocals sound. Another great band that is no longer with us.
@@FVD I got an hour into the interview and finally thought I had to hear what all the fuss is about. Yes, nice solo ... BOLD solo: I'm surprised they got it to sit in the mix so well.
Showing exactly why Nuno is truly one of the greatest original guitar masters on the planet. His playing just leaves you speechless, then locked in a room for years. Long live lord Nino
Long Live The King.
It's Nuno!
So how does this God in Human for not only NOT AGE, but completely and utterly smashes the mastery of his instrument NONSTOP THROUGH THE AGES while also being the most humble and coolest human alive? Talk about inspiring... I'll NEVER stop playing because of the very few guitarists as all-around incredible and inspiring as Nuno.
I haven’t heard great rock like this since the 1980s. About time.
Listen to the darkness
dont take me wrong, while I like this tune there are lots of releases since that date that are also good, Def Leppard 2015 album has some very good hard rock tunes just to mention one
If that’s the case, you need to listen to Mammoth WVH. Eddie Van Halen’s son, Wolfgang. Hell, this tune sounds derivative, sans the chorus. Doesn’t matter. It kicks ass. I just heard Mammoths new release today. It’s badass. “Another celebration at the end of the world”
Extreme came out in the 90's
Well pornograffiti was from 1990 …
Nuno is an absolute beast and his rhythm and chops are beyond beyond. Loved that man for decades.
+1
These guys haven't aged a bit.
The vocal harmonies over that crazy solo was something we didn't ask for but something we badly needed 🔥
Pure Extreme magic!
Yes, I noticed it right away. Nice, really nice.
Yes that was a pretty special moment hearing that, I think I stopped breathing for a moment because I found it so emotional
I asked for it.
The best part of the song for sure.
that's the best part of the whole song..simply sublime, the vocals of Gary over that muted solo part by Nuno is sooo epic it makes my hair "Rise" and gives me chills.
This is without a doubt theeeee gr8tisr solos of all time!!!! Nuno is a GOD 4 EVER!!!!
Abso, fakkin, lutely
Their “III Sides To Every Story” album is a MASTERPIECE!!! xoxo The Clarences
Yep, that’s my favorite by them. Schitzophonic is greatness too (Nuno solo)
I agree, that's my favorite of theirs, followed by Pornograffiti and their debut.
Totally agree! Pornograffitti was amazing, but III Sides took it to the next level... unfortunate timing though.
Not to metion the production on that album is insane!!!!!
For real. Been one of my desert island albums since it came out and still is.
It’s so awesome to see Nuno, my personal guitar god since I was 12, getting the recognition he deserves
He's bing great for a long time. What are you talking about???
@@Decalpha I am guessing -- pure speculation, mind you, that he is referring to a lot of folks out there who know Nuno and Extreme as the "More than Words" guys. People in the know always knew he was awesome.

First off, calm the fuck down. The only people that act salty are the insecure ones. And that's absolutely ok. We all have opinions and who's to say wether we're wrong or right. This kills. This is how to revive rock music-- this is fire. The solo is beautiful-- it sounds new at the same time sounds so familiar that I feel it will attract new generations without annoying the OG rock heads out there. Awesome song!
My thoughts exactly.❤
Edie Van Halen vibes. Best solo I’ve heard in a very long time
After listening to the hit songs like Die for You by The Weeknd that are dominating the radio, it's SOOOOOOO refreshing to listen to something like this!
Sounds familiar because the first time sounds exactly like Steve Vai's songs!😁
Somebody pinch me. Did I just listen to slamming, rocking tune in 2023?
Bettencourt of public opinion says: Yes, you're not dreaming. Chunky riffs and solo pyrotechnics is what rock has been missing since forever. Thumbs up boys 👍👍and thank you for this gem.
And it`s melodic pyrotechnic, not just some chromatic or pentatonic pattern anybody could play with a bit of practice.
Can we all agree this was totally worth the wait. What an incredible song.
No. I’m psyched it’s finally coming out but I would have been much happier last year at this time since it was completed 2 years ago.
Agreed! Fasten your seatbelt for the rest of the ride 😎
We definitely can't. Not that good of a song and doesn't sound like Extreme. I absolutely love Extreme, but this just wasn't it.
15 year wait?
@@ATalkingBadger this sound is definitely an improvement since their last album. Yes I love every album from them, but this is the sound they needed. It's fresh, updated, heavy, modern...so on so forth..
Sorry everyone, but Nuno is the best guitarist on the planet! Look no further than the live videos of him performing the solo absolutely flawlessly, and seemingly sometimes faster than the recording was slightly, which doesnt seem possible. This solo made me feel a way ive never felt in 22 years of playing. Tell me there is anything more magical than music? That may be one of the most epic guitar solos in any song, ever. That is up there in the EVH stratosphere!

First Nuno is, strait up, paying homage to one of his heros in that solo as only Nuno can! 🙏 Peace brother! Also, after multiple spins lets just put aside the fact that this track kicks ass for a moment. These guys, like all of us, are not getting any younger yet this feels like they just walked back in the studio after recording Porno or III Sides. 🤯 The energy, the groove, the melody, the harmonies!!! 15 years is a long time to wait, but damn guys please keep doing what you do, because it works!! I totally agree that it feel's like they walked out of cryosleep from 1992, and fed on metal from the last 20 years through a tube. The harmonic treatment is modern. Great song! Feels good man.
