This is just bloody awesome. In 45+ years of being a professional musician, I can tell you that many of the most enjoyable times I've had were in impromptu jam sessions like this. There's just nothing quite like the simple joy of a bunch of guys (or girls) playing in the moment.
I love how they're all like; "Well you know let's see what happens." Then are shocked at the end about how well it sounded. That pretty much sums up being a musician.
The look on the other guys faces when Paisley drops in is priceless. They were like "Whoa! That ain't just fairy dust he's sprinkling on it." Brad is probably one of the most accomplished guitar players in country music and shows he can hang with some of the greatest rock guitarists alive today.
Brought the wife see Rascal Flatts a few times. Each show had a guitar - fiddle duel and it was some of the best shit I’ve seen live. Their drummer was a monster too. I’ll still take a sweaty mosh pit though. Even at 40.
There's a reason Brad is the only country guitarist represented on the walls of my local Guitar Center. For those who are surprised Brad is this good, saying "he's hanging with legends, look at him!", he *is* a legend in his own right in the guitar world, and most anyone with chops themselves and an even mildly diverse taste in music is very well aware of this fact. The man literally has an instrumental album called "Play: The Guitar Album". DEFINITELY worth checking out if you had doubts in his talent before watching this. He frequently pulls out Eddie Van Halen licks and other legendarily difficult riffs at his shows as well. And I am definitely more of an Ian/Morello fan as far as my personal tastes in music, so this isn't coming from a country fan by any stretch. Brad's simply that good at what he does.
You dont have to be a country fan to know a great musician. The real sleeper even amongst country fans is vince gill. He could teach many axe slingers a thing or 2 about cutting it up. Dudes a virtuoso
i love how tom takes such a different approach than any other guitar player. he's the eddie van halen of his generation...but no one copied tom, like they did with EVH.
I’m glad you found it! Been watching this every few months since it came out. They all come from different backgrounds so it’s a great piece to show people after they talk shit about any of these artists. I myself had much more respect for brad after watching this.
@Woodward English > You have no idea how many times I have listened to this! Brother, I feel you - in fact, I stopped counting how often I listened to that gem. (In addition, I shamelessly ripped is as MP3, edited it a wee bit to cut the non-music parts at the beginning and thus its nowadays part of the ~72,000 titles at my locals computer which provides the comfy audio background,)
I've come back to this every other day for the past few years. I drum so i honestly have no idea how they're doing this.... I might want to switch 💀 when they finally find their groove and the right chords it's so magical
As a guitar enthusiast and a fan of the show: Thank you all for doing this!! I couldn’t stop smiling the entire time I was listening to this. I was thinking I could sell some stuff to help fund that Strat, but it’s going for $35,000... That’s effectively the same price as a Tesla Model 3... If only there were a way to drive the Strat to work!!
35k for a guitar? Lmfao, I'm a guitarist myself and theres absolutely no way I'd even consider getting a shitty strat for that price. What am I gonna play? Cowboy sounding music? Nasty

Poor Man's Guitar plain old pentatonic scales have gotten it done for a lot of top level guitarists. SRV, Clapton, and a whole list of others based a guitarist career off the pentatonic scale. Don’t discount it just because it’s not as flashy as some other modal scales
@@poormansguitar5471 lol the scale that he's using, which you've misidentified anyways, doesn't give any indication as to the overall level of the solo. Within the pentatonic parts that he is playing, there's a whole world of dynamics, tone and his spot on rhythm
That is the best part of this to me is watching Scott Ian hold this thing together and you can tell by the smile on his face he is enjoying the hell out of it.
I loved how each player had the opportunity to showcase their individual style...which were all so distinct and characteristic... Couldn't help thinking though that Dan Weiss probably spent more time getting his solo honed than he did getting season 8 right...

The ultimate breakdown. Ramin tells HOF-worthy guitarists "hey, could we actually play the song like I wrote it?" (0:43) and they all nod/chuckle with respect. Tom introduces himself to Brad using both his first/last name just like his parents taught him (1:31). Scott hammering heavy downstrokes with an almost Maiden-style gallop giving everyone else a rhythm to jump around (3:50). Nuno and Scott smiling when Tom flies into his signature tone and say "damn, this is so good" without uttering a word (4:07). Nuno respectfully telling Tom "hold my beer for a second" (4:40). Everyone surprised at some country guy from Tennessee bending strings and flying around the fret board playing triplets with pull-offs (5:26). Nuno's reaction summing it all up (5:47). And the last guy? He shouldn't even be sitting in but holds his own like he has something to prove (6:04). BTW, as the GOT co-creator he doesn't. Game respects game.

@@beanlegume9965 What does the method have to do with the synergy of his style and this music?
@@beanlegume9965 so why does no one else sounds like him?
Cause thats all he does, i was a huge tage fan but im over hearing toms whammy pedal
Yeah man, you can see Nuno´s face enjoying it too :D
Can we give Scott some credit for holding down that rhythm
like youtube royalties ?
here here! It's harder than it looks and harder than it sounds, especially with everything that's going on it gets challenging to keep focused.
My man .! Lol
Amen... they picked the perfect guy for the job.
He is the best rhythm guitarist in the business in my opinion.
Scott Ian holding it down with a huge smile on his face-- absolute class act.
I think he's just embaressed,because he's just 2-chord hi-gain machine..
noworries
Nope
Yep, he's comfortable just laying down that brutal rhythm. Awesome
Paisley is a monster on the strings man…he may be a country artist but he’s a rocker at his core bro.
Nuno, Morello and Paisley are all amazing but hats off to Scott Ian who underpinned the whole thing. Malcolm would be proud dude.
God bless Scott Ian for keeping the train rolling
Man just kept chugging
YES! More love for the guy vamping through everyone else's solos!
Didn’t say a word, just started walking.
All *ABOARD* !!!!
He could play rhythm outside during a hurricane.
Scott Ian the MVP for supporting all of them
edit: Hello and thanks for the likes. i wasn't expecting many likes
Solid rhythm player
Amen, brother.
He is the hodor in that video.
He is not allowed to Play a solo
you gotta have a foundation! The Malcolm!
This is just bloody awesome. In 45+ years of being a professional musician, I can tell you that many of the most enjoyable times I've had were in impromptu jam sessions like this. There's just nothing quite like the simple joy of a bunch of guys (or girls) playing in the moment.
I love how they're all like; "Well you know let's see what happens."
Then are shocked at the end about how well it sounded. That pretty much sums up being a musician.
Lmao pretty much
The look on the other guys faces when Paisley drops in is priceless. They were like "Whoa! That ain't just fairy dust he's sprinkling on it." Brad is probably one of the most accomplished guitar players in country music and shows he can hang with some of the greatest rock guitarists alive today.
Dude for fucking sure, I'm not a country fan but Brad fucking rocked it, everyone was stoked that he was shredding it, legend
Vince Gill can tear it up too
Brought the wife see Rascal Flatts a few times. Each show had a guitar - fiddle duel and it was some of the best shit I’ve seen live. Their drummer was a monster too. I’ll still take a sweaty mosh pit though. Even at 40.
I noticed that, as well. He handled business.
@@Alamo-cz5xc vince gill is amazing
Facts Brad is no joke at all!!!
I would like to subscribe to #BradFacts
A lot of country players are underrated. Chet Atkins, Willie Nelson, Vince Gill, Roy Clarke, Jerry Reed.... Paisley EASILY sits amongst those
You’re only saying that because you’re called Brad too
The only two guitar greats in this video are Nuno Bettencourt and Brad Paisley.
scotty just smiling and anchoring the whole thing...🤘
Not really a country fan but you can tell Brad KILLED his solo. You can really feel the grassroots of rock-n-roll in his solo. Everyone’s solo was 🔥
I hate country but game recognizes game. Brad paisley and a lot of these country guys can really play. All the respect
I don't like country but I like seeing Brad Paisley live. He's nuts and a ton fun to watch. Also he played Hot For Teacher.
Brad ain't no joke.
You dont have to be a country fan to know a great musician. The real sleeper even amongst country fans is vince gill. He could teach many axe slingers a thing or 2 about cutting it up. Dudes a virtuoso
not gonna lie, I have been sleeping on Brad. I didn't know he could fucking wreck it like this until I saw this video
Scott has such a genuine look of admiration on his face watching everyone play, it’s humbling watching legendary musicians appreciate each other ❤
oups!!!
Tom Morello has to be one of the most unique guitar players in history.
Yes, he's frkn great! looks as if he was really getting into the song. His style was perfect.
Duh
It was Tom and Dimebag that made me want to play guitar and take it serious....you are right about Tom though, very unique...
Edge from U2 and had he lived: Prince.
i love how tom takes such a different approach than any other guitar player. he's the eddie van halen of his generation...but no one copied tom, like they did with EVH.
Honestly this group has been the best.
Test me with time.
The real MASTER here is Scott Ian!!!! Holding it all together with his rhythm playing!!! Props!!!
Jesus christ, the riff is not that hard guys, hold on with licking Scott's balls
They should form a thrash metal band and call themselves "Kingslayer".
love it!!
There's already a thrash metal band called Kingslayer. It's called SLAYER
@@himsoforreal that's the joke 😂
Slayer's Kerry King.
Why on earth didn't you put "Kingsplayer"
You have no idea how many times I have listened to this!
(I can't believe I only found this at the end of 2021)
Note: Music from 2:02
Bro!! Me too just now
I read this and think. Nice, there is comment which is of this year. Than I look on the time it was posted. 11 hours ago...
I’m glad you found it! Been watching this every few months since it came out. They all come from different backgrounds so it’s a great piece to show people after they talk shit about any of these artists. I myself had much more respect for brad after watching this.
I'm in the same boat. This is just killer.
@Woodward English
> You have no idea how many times I have listened to this!
Michael Duran same here! I smiled the whole time.
What strat?
@@forkboy3309 The one Tom Morello was playing was a Game of Thrones themed house targaryen strat
Jesus. That guitar is sick tho.
35k for a guitar? Lmfao, I'm a guitarist myself and theres absolutely no way I'd even consider getting a shitty strat for that price. What am I gonna play? Cowboy sounding music? Nasty
This is better than the whole 8th season.
Not very hard
While that isn't a high bar to set, you are very correct.
Probably has to do with the fact that DW didn't have a writing role in this video.
Mathieu Caron yes
far better
The world's atomic clocks sync to Scott Ian's unflinching rhythm.
Him and Gene Hoglan(sp?) Lol
And sugarfoot lmao
He was a huge fan of Malcolm Young and it shows. :-)
...but why didn't he play his share of a lead?
@@ralphwiggum6385 He's probably not good enough, just a rhythm player?
Saw Brad Paisley at the HLSR one year... I had no idea the guy could shred....Amazing guitar player.....
Brad is probably one of the most underrated players on earth.
Whether you like country music or not . Got to admit he’s damn sure got the chops
I'm no huge country fan but I sure in the hell know who Brad is, along with Chat Atkins, Vince Gill, Glen Campbell, Albert Lee, Keith Urban, and Roy Buchanan, just to name a view of the many great awesome country guitarist. I always rave n try to get others to discover them.
he is not underrated but he is not very known
I mentioned going to one of his show in Vegas this December. My friend was ‘I didn’t know you were a fan.’
I’m just like: the MF cooks! He plays a mean guitar. That’s all I need.
@@kennykanosh4352 Yeah but if you are not into country to his Buffett 2.0 it can be insufferable of a wait to get to the good stuff.
@@Userfriendly116 Brad Paisley isn't "very known" ? 🤣He's a HUGE country artist and an all-around kick-ass guitarist (I'm not a country fan, by the way).

Haha. ^ This.
🤣🤣🤣🤣😁😁😄😄🤣🤣😆😁😁
ROTFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!! Now that's Funny!

At least he's good at something.
You have to give Tom morello a massive amount of credit for literally creating his own sound. That’s all great players / but when Tom morello plays - you know it’s him
No joke I wasn't paying attention to the names and have never seen Tom in the flesh but as soon as I heard him play I immediately thought this dude sounds like he's from guitar hero 3
His tone is straight from heaven. It's fucking sickkkkk
I was listening to this one album when it came out, and i didn't know tom was featured in it, but when I heard the song he was on i went "wait is Tom Morello in this song?"
this guy sure does have his own tone
Tom whammy morello
There's no mistaking his sound and I never tire of hearing it.
The humility and respect these legends have for each other… we should all be so modest in contribution to a greater cause.

LMFAO @ "Morhendrix".
I love how when it gets to Brad's part, the metal band dudes are all like, "Whoa, country boy can shred!". So awesome! That's a room full of talent and epicness, right there.
brad was plain ole pents..nothing special
Poor Man's Guitar plain old pentatonic scales have gotten it done for a lot of top level guitarists. SRV, Clapton, and a whole list of others based a guitarist career off the pentatonic scale. Don’t discount it just because it’s not as flashy as some other modal scales
@@poormansguitar5471 lol the scale that he's using, which you've misidentified anyways, doesn't give any indication as to the overall level of the solo. Within the pentatonic parts that he is playing, there's a whole world of dynamics, tone and his spot on rhythm
I love the way Scott Ian frames that whole performance with his Anthraxian rhythm. The leads are killer too!
When your idol is Malcolm Young youre ok by me
its💦💦💦
He's got the either but even he is in awe of the other guys throwing down.
Scott Ian is like a human metronome
proud of you Persian king love you so much Ramin and giving best wishes to you from Iran. magnificent collaboration
scott ian reflected an unselfish person, patient, and humble man

That is the best part of this to me is watching Scott Ian hold this thing together and you can tell by the smile on his face he is enjoying the hell out of it.
Whatever his beard looks fake af
Ján Farkaš it’s not fake, it’s a very real curtain tassel glued to his face
Yup, just laying down that crunchy rhythm like a guitar-drummer.
I'm not gonna lie...Seeing Scott Ian rocking that Stark Direwolf brought a happy tear to my eye.
I loved how each player had the opportunity to showcase their individual style...which were all so distinct and characteristic...
Couldn't help thinking though that Dan Weiss probably spent more time getting his solo honed than he did getting season 8 right...
Came to put the same 👍
Dude can play, just can't write for shite!
love how each musician brought their own unique style to this while all harmonized perfectly together
Brad Paisley actually did an amazing job in staying true to the game of thrones theme and bringing in that special Country sound. And of course some killer shredding lol
That's not country sound. It's typical hard rock/blues sound.
Nothing country about that.
Paisley owns you.
@@Tokai134 Nah man there are definitely some classic country sounds in there. Of course it's way heavier than country but I'm pretty sure at some parts it has a country vibe (and 200 other people think so too apparently). Especially the part from 5:22-5:25 and 5:40 when he goes up, classic country rock/country follow up in terms of notes
Man,i did not even know that guy n then he shreds...
This version should be the intro for the last episode of game of thrones
Kiran Yes let's add it as an addendum to the petition to have them remake all of season 8
Sad to say it but the intro would be the best part of the whole episode
Yes atleast one think that is likeable 🤣
This season doesn't deserve something this amazing.
It'll certainly be better than the episode itself 😕
