For those of you that think this is hard, you're wrong... It's actually way harder
yeah...lot of changes, lot of patches, completely different styles...
Definitely. Every few seconds you're switching gears to a totally different guitar player who you're trying to emulate. It's not easy, that's for sure.
I hate this kind of comments which basically means "you don't get it but I do". You're not paying any tribute to Paul, you're flattering yourself.
True. But mastering thrash metal is actually way harder than this.
@@MCHiphopotamus I didn’t take it like that, I thought it meant he tried and couldn’t do it.
I don't think people get how insanely impressive this is. The fact that he remembers 80 guitar intros and can do them all flawlessly blows my mind.
You’re right. You don’t think
@Gavin Townsley Drop the sarcasm asshole, let’s see you do it then. In one take, with the smooth transitions
@Gavin Townsley Well it is impressive, but onec you play a part or a song overr 500-1000 times, your brain will easily remember it even after a few months of not playing it
@@pm2342 I mean you even have to memorize the combination of the effectors on the floor.
@@yumingl8547 I know, right?
That transition from Crazy Train to Limelight was SO clean
this is hipnotizing. the way you smoothly change the riffs, the way you make the guitar sound so versatile... damn
Playing 80 intros in one take without making cuts or mistake is insane. People don't realise how great of a guitarist Paul is.
Yes we do
People don’t understand, but you do, because you’re special, Dan.
Я понимаю, Paul Davids respect!
Bro, it was insanely painful for my ears to hear his weak lame attack, he ends every phrase with terrible vibrato, it’s just level of how people in guitar center play these riffs.
@@Alex19II metro boomin wants some more nigga🗣🗣🗣🗣
It’s not just remembering the notes and rhythm, but getting each and every tone so perfectly balanced… what a performance 🫡
the sound of this strat matches only a few, it doesn't make sense for him to play rock with a strat even more without distortion
The tone work was phenomenal
Hmmm.. perfectly? He did good.. very recognizable, but he even knows he makes mistakes. Look in his face, BUT it is 80 songs with 80 different tones on 1 guitar. It's 100% NOT going to be perfect. For what it is though? Did great.
Strats are are very flexible tonally and coupled with his awesome pedal rack does an outstanding job. Kudos man. Brilliant
It's The Minimun expected of any musician that plays at night
I'll never get over how wonderful is the intro to Sweet Home Alabama (3:38). Straight to the soul every time.
The versatility of a strat is unmatched
Remembering 80 guitar intros and playing them all of them correctly in a single take, that's something Incredible 🔥
Edit: So many 'PRO' Musicians out there in the replies having problem about the complements given to Paul. I mean I would love to see you peoples' cover then and moreover in the description he himself mentioned it was all a single take and was done by heart.
Imagine if you fail intro #79.
I’d have a hard time thinking of 80 songs with good intros nevermind playing them
Not only that... but putting the (arguably) hardest one at the end :D
@@tastysnivel then the video would be called top 79 intros 🤣

This needs a pin!
Legend!
I came to the comments to see if someone had done this…much appreciated!
...you can literally hear the transition an transformation of the times in his timeliness! Awesome!!
The amount of work you put into the craft shows. Thank you.
No cuts and every riff is flawless. That’s talent. Practice and dedication is key.
That makes it a skill.
@@viralent It's both.
Its almost as good as the guy who did 100 riffs some years ago
So, so good!
The G.O.A.T. intro was far from flawless.
Not only did he nail the riffs, but the tone for each riff was almost spot on. Thats crazy
yes, the huge pedalboard with midi settings helped, but I cant imagine the time to create all the presets, most spot on. However, in some cases (ie aint talk about love) you could hear the lack of an humbucker. All in all, that was a seriously impressive display, hats off! You deserve the almost 3 million subscribers!
Master of Puppets needed some meat.
Was just about to make this exact comment! Incredible.
And all with an SSS Strat! Not even using the in between or middle pickup.
@@andreaferrero6533 yeah honestly his setup is about as perfect as it gets for this kind of video. His fully programmable MIDI board along with the fully programmable Kemper profiler that he’s clearly playing through makes this doable. His skill makes it enjoyable.
Loved this. Amazing transitions between intros. Great Job
Simply amazing! Came across this 3 days ago. Thank you for being you and all the work you put into that. It's the go to when stressed and you did an amazing job!
13:26 G.O.A.T wasn't expecting that but definitely brought a smile on my face
Same here.
Frfr, that came out of left field. Love it
Halfway I was like I wonder id he ends with something crazy... Wasnt dissapointed
Jooo same here
Best part, he did it without all the extra production crew, and just his fingers. No digital mop up!
That was mind blowing. And a testament to the versatility of the Strat.
yeah and its not even noiseless singlecoil pickups!
Yep. My thoughts exactly. Always thought the 335 was the jack of all trades. Not so sure now.
Extra bucks paid for those effectors on the floor
Whats impressive is the guy playing it. With today's fx and modeling amps it's not hard to do all that with one guitar.
It's not that the strat is particularly versatile as much as a guitar will do what a guitar does
That transition from little less conversation to fortunate son...10/10 AMAZING
My first visit and loved it. Knew 80% of the tracks, liked 65% and loved 100% of their delivery. Thank you!
Let's be real. The 70s held it down so hard. That decade is so pivotal for rock / metal. Also it was cool to see the progression of the years. Well done

far from flaw free but indeed well done.
Flawlessly? Interesting. Listen to the songs from the artists. Quite a few flaws, but he did fantastic. Only so much he can do on 1 guitar with so many songs.
@@allennewborn936 just needs more pedals
Amazing performance. Thank you for bringing joy! I can’t believe you play this in one take.
Truly amazing ! Very talented guitarist. My hat is off to you !!
Leaving Polyphia until last when you've already done 79 intros in one take is a level of bravery I aspire to 😂
“Welp, messed up, let’s start over”
Of course it was the only one he struggled with too haha
Bravoooooo!!!
Can’t tell if the pure happiness at the end was doing all 80 intros in a row or just absolutely nailing that Polyphia intro
Wow! I've took a hard time trying to learn that intro, got it, but now I've just forgot because I've learnt Playing God, my braind can't support more than 1 Polyphia song, it's too difficult.
I thought the same thing lmao
It's not just the GOAT intro itself, just the sheer fact that he put one of the hardest last, one fail and he had to do all 80 intro all over again
I am so impressed!! You are truly amazing. I could listen to you for hours! ❤🎸🎶
huge respect man, the fact of remembering 80 guitar intros is without a doubt incredible!
playing 80 songs in one take all in chronological order, beyond amazing.

Not even was he able to play these flawlessly, he nailed the tone on most of them. Very impressive considering it was all done in a single take.
And with one guitar. Its not an exact match but its pretty close

The transition from Slow Dancing in a Burning Room to Snow was smooth and flawless, Excellent 👍
Love your hard work Paul .❤
This is incredible. Not only did you nail every riff, but you also memorised them, rembered to change pickups, hit the correct effects AND remembered to detune when necessary. Oh and finishing with Polyphia was ballsy AF. The entire video could have been ruined lol
Probably why he did it last so he could cut it out if he needed lol
@@avaleloc1513 haha possibly. But then it would have only been 79 lol

Seeing the dates next to the songs is really surprising how old some of these songs are and are still played day in day out all over the world. Timeless classics
Hey Hey, My My, Rock and roll will never die.
Oh my gosh, I'm 62 and seeing the dates made me feel like Methuselah... terrific vid, well played! You said it, Timeless Classics...
Bach has been played all over the world for about 300 years 🤣
That is freaking amazing. You are very talented!! I’m in complete awe.
this is incredible skills. The best cover I have ever seen. respect
My man just made an 80 guitar intros in a row, without cuts and pauses, and simply finishes with G.O.A.T solo. What a guitarrist
Bruh, "simply". I was not expecting that😳
Yeah the last thing i expected to round off the 80 was GOAT ha. If it were me id have done that first just in case. Amazing.
Playing 80 riffs in one take and choosing polyphia as the last one is a gutsy call 😄

Not many people will understand just how insanely brilliant this is.
Not just remembering & playing 80 riffs flawlessly in one take, but he went full out and didn’t shy away from those technically difficult ones [e.g. snow] toward the end. My brain and fingers would have melted way before that point.
Amazing stuff man!
You are right
Lol snow is not hard to play, especially compared to a dozen others he played.
This is insanely impressive. 80 intros, different effects, different musical genres, seemingly from memory and all in one take without noticable mistakes. Not too many musicians around who could pull this off.
Do it in 10 tunes chunks. It's WAY easier to do it like that. I'm SURE he had apprx 3 weeks to shed all that. Totally possible
@@tjm9565 mate maybe you can send us a link to the video of you doing this?
wow... you just went through my progression as guitarist influenced by moments in time. Thank you for your great talent, insight, and shared love of both music and GUITAR. cheers brother.
So talented and entertaining. Thank you for sharing!!!
I don’t think I’ll ever get used to how diverse an electric guitar is as an instrument. The drastic difference in each intro and the most that was done was hitting a pedal or flipping a switch. I love it SO much.
I think we can thank the advances in technology for the fact that a lot of this can be done at all, because I somehow doubt it would have been possible in the 80's.
OTOH ... maybe that's just me being ignorant of pedal effects :D
@@NotTheStinkyCheese I do certainly think it would be much more dependent on the player back then. But I also think even the number of sounds a guitar can make without even a pedal is impressive
and easier to play than the acoustic
True. But he’s doing a lot with “hitting a pedal.”
@@NotTheStinkyCheese I'm a bit lost here on what you are saying ... "think we can thank the advances in technology for the fact hat a lot of this can be done at all, because I somehow doubt it would have been possible in the 80's" .. You really think that guitar pedal didn't exist in the 80's??
Imagine playing this whole thing knowing that Polyphia is coming for you after 79 riffs and 14 minutes of flawless playing. That's PRESSURE.
Fantastic. I truly enjoyed watching and listening to you.
Thank you! Literally because of this video, I looove electric guitar. This performance, I have watched it now many many times, thank you for doing it! I hope you have some lessons I can buy online, I definitely will.
Not only did you memorize 80 guitar intros and do it in one take, but you captured each songs guitar tone as best as you could as well. Absolutely incredible.
I wouldn’t say nailed the guitar tones, only so much you can do with a strat. Especially when playing Queens Of The Stone Age, Metallica or Pantera.
@@Pyr0nExharsh, but fair. He did a really good job imho. But you can't please _all_ the people...
@@simongavin5031 It was still really good and played well, it was more so that metal tones definitely don’t sound as “beefy” with single coils so the tones aren’t captured “incredibly”.
@@Pyr0nEx with what he had, he did a damn good job. He could of easily just plugged in his strat and played each intro on a clean channel, but he went the extra mile and plugged in his pedal board and tried to capture each tone as close as he could by switching pedals/pickups. Not to mention he had to remember 80 songs worth of guitar tones. You may not be impressed, but I damn sure was.
@@LukeProv I am impressed but I disagree with the tones being accurate as you basically described. He could’ve had his Les Paul or SG next to him and we would have a perfect video.
As a kid born in the 90’s I never realized how far back some of these familiar tunes went. Very happy both of my parents were into rock of all ages. Also it was very impressive to hear all of these intros back to back. Crazy to witness so much skill and technique.

The Bible is truth. Please read at least three books of the Bible, Genesis Mathew and one you chose yourself. As you do practice forgiveness, that’s what makes it click. Parents are easiest. They’ve loved you to some degree. It’s actually extremely important to forgive them specifically, that relationship has spiritual significance to God. Remember to break down before Jesus Christ and ask for forgiveness too. Please, it’s really important that you do these things as soon as possible. The Bible is truth;
