What a great review! Rarely have I seen a review performed with such enthusiasm, recklessness, and focus on the sheer FUN of driving! Nothing but smiles and laughter the entire time!
Had mine a month now, traded in my ‘07 Tundra - but not sad anymore - this truck is solid and fun! Plan to keep it for a while and grabbed it while prices were low and discounted compared to similar Tacomas that were at least 10k higher for the same features! A no brainer!
You got 20 minutes of excellent content into less than 5 minutes. Just got the '24 Pro4X last week. Traded in a '15 Z71 that I loved and wanted to replace with the same. But I'm just a regular guy that appreciates regular stuff and Nissan had the last regular midsize standing. Great work.
I have a '16 Z71, I have the same mindset and have been debating jumping to the '24 Pro4X. 4 months later & what do you think of the switch? Any regrets? Still a fan? Thanks in advance!
@@morganhunter5999 Just got back from a 1800 mile road trip with the Frontier. Miss the V6 Chevy, but no regrets with the Nissan. WOuldn't trade it for any of the turbo 4s.
Love the styling, love the green, love the naturally aspirated v6, and the electronic locker. The cons are the cameras, upright rear seats, large turning radius, lower ground clearance than competition, and no integrated brake controller. One additional irritating thing is every pro4x I've seen comes with "Off road protection kit" for additional $505 which they list a medic kit, adventure kit, floor mats, door scuff protector. Basically like a $60 amazon crap bundle that you can't delete. So the MFG is getting you for that and then you have dealers with the $1000 wheel lock, rainx, whatever else they can dream of rip off. There is a lot of frontier inventory on lots at this point. Its time for car dealers / mfg to drop the clown act and regain customers.
We also agree, paying way over sticker had gotten OLD & it is very anti-consumer. Our local dealership, Peltier Nissan, actually has many Nissans on sale for under MSRP. They also happen to be the entire reason the Titan came into existence.
@@1offgarage Always good to shop your dealer and spend your money with those who value the customer. I've seen some dealers with 2023 pro4x models at $3500 off msrp. Since inventory is now flowing better its smart to start liquidating and enticing customers especially with the new tacoma and ranger on the way. While they are "new tech" trucks its still competition and comparing msrp to nissan they are not far off. Its nice to see the mid-size market heat up with competition again. The frontier (especially under msrp) is still a good value truck and may even find its way into my driveway which as a normally loyal ford customer is saying something. :^) Great video and thanks for the content.
First time watching one of your videos and I gotta say I love the quality and visual detail in the video! The camera angles are awesome and the offload coverage is great!
Drive it like it's stolen brother. The more i look at truck review videos the more this nissan frontier pro4x is the one i want to get. I love the colorado zr2 body style but i am not sold on the high reviving 2.7 liter turbo charged 4 cylinder engine lasting for 150k to 200k miles. Just might trade my colorado trail boss in on a nissan pro4x and get either the mismo or Frostburg off road packages installed on the truck. I just like the way those off road packages look.
We appreciate the sub! We don’t have anything planned for this truck as it went back into the press vehicle fleet, but if Nissan sends us another one we will absolutely play in the dirt again!
Looking to purchase this same 2024 truck but debating regarding the exterior color. It's a toss up between the tactical green showcased in this video versus the boulder pearl gray. Decisions...decisions...
I don't buy a truck for the sounds and luxury 😂 I need one to get shit done ah the truck market gone for the worst. I drive a frontier, people call it boring some like the looks of my 2nd gen. Just wish i got the long bed
I'd already have a Pro4X if it came with a 6 foot bed. Hopefully next year they will. I will just keep driving my old Ranger with a 6 foot bed until they do. Or I will buy a half ton with a 6 and a half foot bed.
Small compared to comparably priced competitors infotainment, outdated UI, & God awful cameras. For the record I never said it was bad, I said worst in the segment.
I don't have a recommendation for you but considering this motor is in so many vehicles across the globe, surely someone makes a tuner first it or will soon. Also, yes it does slightly lack in power in our opinion (except in 4lo).
@@1offgarage I stumbled upon a company called Z1 that offers some good looking options. They have a performance package that shows increases in HP (+30) and torque (+33)...I'm in the market for a truck and the Frontier is looking like the best option across the board. Best thing is a V6, no turbo-4.
You caught me 😂. So yes, the soft-open tailgate does work as intended. But it's so firm that at a slight downward pitch it holds itself in place..... so I had to poke some fun LOL
No. That's one thing I've said nissan should have as an add on. Hell the old desert runner which was 2wd version of the pro4x had it but I don't know if the new proX does a.k.a desert runner.
It appears that only the Pro-4x receives the electricity locking rear differential. I will say, it is odd & disappointing that the Pro-X does not get the locker.
Excluding super high end vehicles, Value is a huge part of our calculation for whether a vehicle is good or not. Value proposition is HUGE for us. Price to performance for this truck compared to others in the market is very strong, despite it being a plain old boring truck 🤷♂️
Nissan never wanted to make THE best midsize truck, they wanted a truck that could do everything competently, and it does exactly that. Great truck.
Well said!
Nissan has 2 mid sized offerings, as you know. The Navarra is a very cool truck for other markets than North America.
@sharkskin3448 The prior gen Navara was the 2nd Gen Frontier. I had a 2.5 TDi (06). The latest Navarra Pro 4x looks really good.
I just bought my ‘24 Pro4X and I love it so much !
BEST MID SIZE TRUCK OUT!!
What a great review! Rarely have I seen a review performed with such enthusiasm, recklessness, and focus on the sheer FUN of driving! Nothing but smiles and laughter the entire time!
We appreciate your kind words. If you can’t have fun in the dirt, you’re doing it wrong!
Nice simple truck 4high 4low rear lock. Who needs wet grass and mud puddle mode
Right!
Wow! Love the production quality on this one but also love to see a new truck that is still old school. Great review!
Glad you enjoyed it!

Great trucks if you like a traditional truck.
This makes me want a frontier
This was one of the best reviews of this truck I've ever seen. My only complaint is that it wasn't longer.
We appreciate that! We currently have very limited resources & time.
So we opt for high production quality short videos rather than a long boring one.
Dude, the production value of this is INSANE. Well done and great review!
Thanks a ton!

. Nothing new here with dealers.. take a trip to a toyota dealership and ask them why a truck with drum brakes has a 5k markup for no reason😅
You definitely deserve more than 1.7K subs, awesome video and editing
We appreciate that! We'll stay on the grind & the Subs will fund us eventually
I love mine. Can’t wait to take it off road.
They're great!
same here I have a 24 pro 4x, enjoy!
What a great advertisement ! Two truck guys. No holds bard terrain tough driving. Dirt and dust and rocks and fun fun fun!
So glad you enjoyed the video!
Bad ass video. Loved the production and the sick slow-mo video angles. Damn near looked like a Nissan commercial..or even better! Lol

Thanks!
Love this video. Do it again on a long road trip. This truck is affordable.
Update the info system and camera AND put the Xterra back in production without any turbos then Nissan will comeback as the new king.
awesome video ty awesome truck I chose it over the Tacoma

Yeah man, A truck that is a truck in 2023/2024 seems to really ruffle some feathers 😂
I like it
I'd already have a Pro4X if it came with a 6 foot bed. Hopefully next year they will. I will just keep driving my old Ranger with a 6 foot bed until they do. Or I will buy a half ton with a 6 and a half foot bed.
Tacoma offers a long bed on the upcoming Trailhunter
tbh I'd rather have that infotainment system then having a whole ass ipad
I'll take a smaller infotainment in exchange for more hard buttons any day!
I personally wish the suspension had more dampening on those bumps. At least it looks like it's a bouncy truck.
Truth be told the springs are fine but the dampening definitely could use more tuning & resistance to slow down the leaf springs rebounding.
I feel like its a bit bigger than the last gen frontier....
Nice fun video, so what's so bad with the infotainment? My only complaint is the 360 camera resolution
There’s nothing wrong with it..this is the only guy I’ve heard complain about it.

Does anybody make a tuning module for the Frontier? The only downside to this truck is the anemic (in my opinion) torque.

He's married to his work. Self identifies as a TranspoSexual.

Reincarnation of an elderly man? Clint Eastwood? Robert Duval?
Probably Sam Elliot 😂
Come on man, we're not supposed to notice the truck is pitched forward 15 degress fighting the soft open? LOL

Why so much emphasis on off-roading How many fools would spend 45k for a beautiful truck to jump ditches and climb rocks and abuse it ???
..... because it's the off-road Pro-4X model? Would you prefer that I drive it around a mall parking lot?
Me: Raises hand immediately.
Why the name-calling?
Test drove all the new midsize pick up trucks. This truck was the least impressive to me honestly
