Vegeta saying he is amazed is saying that goku is fighting in UIO as if he’s in MUI. Remember each stage of transformations makes UI sharper. Goku is slowly making UI his base.

Goku using Omen during THIS fight makes sense to me. He hasn’t had a calm/empty mind all saga, he’s had conflicting thoughts and memories about his dad. That along with the heated battle they’ve had it’s tough for anybody, let alone a mortal, to keep your mind empty. So him using Omen, that doesn’t require him to do that, makes sense in this context. Maybe later on he’ll figure out how to keep his mind calm in MUI. You have to regress to progress!
Yea it makes sense to me now too. I didnt want a new form, and i am glad they exained it.
And when Goku ran into Whis he outright mentioned he couldnt keep his mind calm at that moment, because he is not like Whis.
Anybody else notice when Elec grabbed Gas throat like that? Idk he seemed pretty powerful to me right there. I don’t think Vegeta is out of this fight yet as well, him saying his UE is evolving got me wondering. And Goku is interpreting UI in his own way, I think this is the way to go and eventually when he powers up to MUI it’ll be a different interpretation of it. Progression yall!

Remember when Goku initially lost to gas and they had to get healed monaito? That’s the only explanation I have of him getting stronger. I still think MUI is stronger but for this fight it’s better for him to use Omen
Remember that Goku has been using Telekinesis since the Frieza Saga. He used it to blow Frieza away
Actually, that was more akin to what he did to Chichi where he just used pressurized air from a high speed punch to blow her away in the Tenkaichi Budokai.
And after he fought vegeta for the first time and was healing in the hospital. He used telekinesis on water
Ultra Instinct Sign is back. I will always remember how Ultra Instinct Sign Goku dodged all of Kefla's blasts and used his Kamehameha energy ball to slide on top of Kefla's Christmas Cannon and blast Kefla of the Tournament of Power arena with a Kamehameha

I feel like this can easily be overlooked, but Vegeta in UE obviously got Gas tired in this chapter by taking so much damge and coaxing Gas into wearing himself out, I feel like thats why Goku was able to compete in Omen

Ultra Ego is kind of useless. Like I’ve been saying this form is a glass cannon. If your opponent has a super gap in power between you and himself you’ll most likely lose anyway. At least Broly actually gets stronger when you fight him, the more you beat him up the stronger he gets and he actually seems to have a stronger defense as time goes on. It gets to the point you have to completely overwhelm him to beat him, that’s more impressive than this form.
Broly's form is also dangerous though as in the manga that form is said to eventually kill the user as they can't control the power and will eventually explode with energy, but I agree UE just isn't good the form is just useless and they keep changing UI idk what the hell is going on with this series after this arc.

Yeah with ultra ego it does nothing to your defense or endurance it just gets stronger, so even if u get stronger then the opponent that doesn’t mean they can’t injure you because ego boosted your strength alone.
So at the end of the day you have to worry about your injuries and you have to try to end the fight quickly

I swear the power scaling in this Arc is ridiculous. How does Vegeta go from performing better than mastered Ultra instinct Goku (who got speed blitzed and one shotted) in his blue evolution form against the real Granola. 2 Vegeta powering up to Ultra ego fighting full power granola and starting to overpower him to the point that granola unlocks a hidden power inside of him giving him the edge over Vegeta. Goku becomes stronger than both Ultra ego and full power both eyes unlocked granola in just his blue form( this is because gas was able to beat granola at his max and Goku was able to dodge and land blows on gas that actually affected him unlike granolas attacks). Vegeta is stated to be getting stronger during their fight right now but somehow Goku is going to surpass him in speed and strength with using just omen

It only matters what the plot demands at that current time. They'll just Retcon shit. Or never mention certain things again that they've mentioned in the past. And just expect ppl to Forget it ever happened lol. They only bring up the things they want you to remember in flashbacks etc.

So if a absolute last Resort Goku could possibly find out how to use it while controlling his emotions. Not saying he will but they'll just say that he's improved his UI or some shit. It's easy to write in. Like I said it's all about what the plot demands.

I feel like they setting up U.i. Omen to function like ssj grade 4. Since he doesnt have to focus on keeping his mind calm he can focus more on the fight and naturally utilize the properties of U.i without too much negative affects.

Goku having to use omen makes sense since Goku can’t utilize MUI power correctly the way his mind is right now. Add the fact he can make weapons/shields along with Gas’ ptsd of bardock giving him a self nerf it makes sense Goku can fight him in a slightly lower form.

Why can't he calm down now when he was able to do it against Jiren and Moro? Moro was a much more intense situation given Earth was at stake and Meerus had just sacrificed himself.

@@LucidStrike he can’t be calm now because as compared to moro arc there is a lot of new info goku to process. He now remembers his parents clearly and his mind isn’t calm because of it so he can’t use UI (silver hair) correctly also him remembering sayian pride. So he decided to use UI omen instead since he can bring out that forms power effectively even when his mind isn’t calm. I really don’t understand how this is so hard to grasp for people. People are so quick to shout “bad writing”.

If Goku wanted to use a strong form that isn’t MUI he could have just used UI + Blue like he did earlier. Bringing back UIO is clearly fanservice to sell toys. I am glad that this chapter further solidifies what I thought about the workings of the wish: the dragon isn't simply reality warping people into having as much strenght as they want, but rather consuming their life to fuel this extra power.

This clears up everything about ui omen allows you too use your emotions while mui you have to have a complete calm mind and he has not had this arc which explains why he couldn't use mui too its fullest and we will most definitely be seeing it again as perfected mui is his most powerful state so mui is definitely still stronger than his omen form he is using rn as he is not in a calm state which he hasnt been all arc. Remembering his parents etc.

It doesnt make sensehow the silver hair form cant land a blow on Gas, but Omen defeats Gas, when Omen got 1 shotted by Moro73, and MUI destroyed Moro, while having a calm mind when watching Meerus die, and at higher stakes aswell. If he cant have a calm enough mind, he shouldnt be able to enter MUI from the start, but he did last chapter, and couldnt touch Gas at all. And yea, I understand that they brought up this "accuracy of UI is dropping if you are not focused", but is it dropping from the first minute? Now he cant even fight in full power MUI 1 fucking minute? Because he was overpowered by Gas while in MUI from the start. If he at least cucked Gas the first minute, and the lose cuz he cant keep concentration, would've been more logical. Dont understand wtf is happening and how Omen outperforms MUI.
I see it like this:
Toyotaro is too lazy to come up with a new form..so he used Omen without making any sense. Vegeta's UE is a form that also helps Toyotaro not draw long and complex Vegeta fight scenes. Think about it..no need to do that cuz now Vegeta stays in one place and gets beaten, and thats it. His fight vs Gas ended in half chapter.Done. The only more complex fight was the Granola fight, cuz it was the first fight that presents the form, so that was it.

@@QuesadillaSlam It's true. Forced spirit fission isn't able to remove an opponent's own energy from their bodies, it only separates the energy of multiple beings that exist in one body. Gas doesn't rely on absorption or fusion, unlike Moro, so the technique wouldn't work against him.

I think vegeta focuses on the wrong part of ultra ego. I think it’s more of a destructive mentality rather than taking damage. That’s why when he lost to granola he said he couldn’t go back to his old ways of thinking

this makes perfect sense, goku now has more control of UI sign because of him becoming more in tune with his saiyain nature. this means eventually he’s going to be able to do it in the mastered ultra instinct form and be even stronger and more controlled in that form . It makes sense to me. He’s not an angel, he’s a saiyain so he had to adapt this god transformation/technique to who he is… he kept having that stamina problem, and calming his heart issue. This is going to lead to him perfecting mastered ultra instinct as well! Makes perfect sense to me

he’ll eventually master this and move up to adapt it to Mastered Ultra Instinct and vegeta will do the same with Ultra Ego. It’s the theme of Saiyains to pass their limits all throughout dragon ball.

Ultra Ego should be like Super 17s ability,absord the blows and change that into fuel,or learn to use hakai energy in a way where it destroy the actual damage taken that makes him get hurt,idk how to explain that without looking like it becomes complicated..he can use spirit fission in a way that absord the blows,He looks like Super 17 no eyebrows,muscle,taking damage to get stronger and the earring even the crazy eyes the look he gives like an insane person hungry for chaos

Agreed he will be unbeatable,thats why i think that hakai can make things not exist anymore,it would be too far fetched if he just hakai his dying so he can come to near death experience and not die which I'm against the whole being immortal thing since hakai can't destroy beings thatbare stronger than them or immortal beings,I want a more dramatic approach to dragon ball in general..the db balls are used too often there should be more consequences with even earths dragon..although i think they make enough money to give us an actual emotional experience because they can't write such stories since kids also watch the anime or read the manage.
I think when UE finally unlocks truly it will be more in tune with how Toppo had his destroyer mode. Imagine Vegeta with destroyer tats running over his body.

It seems like Goku is tapping more into that Saiyan Heritage that's why he does that mouth blast. Also the translation for when Vegeta praises Goku using UI he's saying that's the proper way to use it. The translation didn't explain it properly.
I can't think of any other good guy using a mouth blast except for SSJ3 Gotenks during his fight with Super Buu. Piccolo has used one during the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai to take out one of Goku's arms, but that was when he was evil and I don't recall him using one since then. Just feels way too weird seeing him use one cause I almost strictly associate that move with the villains and only recently remembered that Gotenks has used that technique.
@@Threelives229 Piccolo used it to kill one of the Saibamen. Broly technically wasn't a bad guy when he used it in the movie, he was more of just an "opponent" or an "emotional serious threat" with his uncontrollable nature and power, but he also wasn't a good guy/protagonist the time either and basically became one after he was defeated by Gogeta and went back to Planet Vampa. Other than those 2 instances, yeah there hasn't been a time really when one of the good guys/protagonists has used a ki mouth blast on an opponent....
Goku has used the shield before it's like an energy dome or energy around the body that protects him.

It sounds like they're going in a meditative route like Vegeta was talking about with Jiren in the new movie.
The beginning reminds me of kid buu arc where vegeta buys goku time and gas looks like kid buu in the face

Honestly, ultra ego plus saiyan cells should technically make vegeta unstoppable. Especially with him fighting an opponent of this caliber. I hate when they half ass give vegeta power. It's always half assed.
This whole arc is just weird man. They just have Goku doing any and everything with no explanation of how he can do them. UI is still so unclear in it's use. They say it's one thing but have it do something else. Using Ultra Instinct Omen with emotions??? How???I thought even that one required Goku to be calm as well?
Moro arc. He can use it at will but it has a significant stamina drain

Probably just a UE increase, to avoid Vegeta getting much stronger than Goku at base. Edit: Plus, I guess it wouldn't make much sense for the special property of UE to apply to mortal forms.

I think each time he gets hit in UE, his damage output (and maybe his speed) will increase while his duration/defense decreasing. Well, I can say both his base power and his ego increase.

I get it it’s sorta like how in WWII one of the common aways the REDTAIL angels beat the Japanese zero planes was the plains they had were able to climb higher then the zero planes so the would trick them into chasing them and the sudden climb high … the zero would at some point stall out and as the stalled out they would loop back and fire. They basically might make it where gas keep trying to improve to keep up with Goku and vegeta and it ends up killing em

Im not sure if it's the wish per day but gas is putting all of his life energy into his attacks kinda like Dragonquest did with Nova against the Superior Being Zombie of Zaboera.
I wonder if Granolah will have to sacrifice himself in the next chapter by powering up this way, sacrificing his remaining lifespan in the process. It's a tragic way to end the story but fitting at the same time, since it's his story.

@Geekdom101 no when you covered the leaked images for this chapter the image of Goku in what looks like omen and doing a dome like "power up" is the part when he saved Vegeta with the "shield"..I also think Vegeta was "amazed" Goku was fighting with a UI style in base because he'd probably never seen Goku use omen at will or after being able to use Mastered UI at will, also just me assuming 🤷♂️
Forgive me if I am wrong, but it seems to me it is likely referencing a ki shield rather than a regular shield that Goku is using. Goku is probably using something similar to Android 17's power (Android Barrier) rather than using the technique that Gas utilizes.
I mean, all this great stuff is happening, but it's like a training test for Goku and vegeta. No matter if granola or gas dies, they can just use the super dragon balls to revert everything back. Maybe even bringing back the cerealians. And if that happens u might as well bring back planet Vegeta with all it's inhabitants.

It makes sence for Goku to evolve his UI faster than Vegeta since hes the older user of the techinque. I guess with time The Prince will get a tight grab of his UE and master it with new & interesting evolution. It seems impracticale in the battlefield at the moment but hope this changes soon

Goku used a self healing technique a few chapters ago iirc. Vegeta doesn't know self healing techniques because he left Yadrat immediately after learning forced spirit fission and instantaneous movement.

I'm actually starting to understand this lol, so in order for goku to use the ui to the full extent he needs to have his emotions in check + his mind needs to be in a tranquility state. Basically he needs a pure and calm mind to use it. Then we got vegeta who is the polar opposite, he needs to be full out destructive, and have a ego filled mind to full use ultra ego. Not only that he needs to stay like in order to fully bring out its power as well. Lol this really reminds me of the yin-yang goku is the light while vegeta is the darkness.

I can see the reason why Goku wants to use Omen, but I also feel that Goku is being smart here and knows Gas has a problem with seeing Bardock, and if he went MUI his hair color would change.

however explain by goku the silver hair form require complete calmness and it 50 times stronger then his oman state since then the complete form is a limit breaker form since mui is basically goku going full power but same time it boost his power and speed and accuracy and skills by a lot more then oman however oman slowly improve goku to grow stronger however it easier for goku to control in combat and it last a longer time then his perfected form the attacks and skills and accuracy and defense maybe incompleted but it does a better preformance of using it for a longer time

It might not be a literal physical shield but a barrier made of Ki. But still, it's a shield effectively in its use so one could still call a barrier a shield in a sense.

I'd also like to note that this is the second time Vegeta transformed into ultra ego. Obivously he won't do any miracles yet. Both the first time and second time, he made the mistake of taking too much damage. If he knew exactly how much damage he could take, or pushes his body to basically never fall, he could be very op. I'm saying this because I'm seeing people trash on ultra ego and not giving it the credit it deserves. It's likely a step closer to getting a GoD form or smt
thats IS the case, Vegeta will inplement UE without being the "callous" man Beerus expects him to be, just like what Goku is doing now, he will have his own version of UE.
I mean, Goku could be using Omen but his own variation of it, it doesn't have to look too different except either the eyes or aura. But I think Goku would see if Granolah is ready to help
