    It’s interesting that Blender Guru is only an honorable mention.. The guy has a vast amount of knowledge in Blender and has been using it over 20 years. He explains things nice and slow. He doesn’t explain things like he is explaining it to himself, which is where 95% of people mess up! He explains it like he is talking to a person that has no idea whatsoever, what’s going on. He doesn’t just tell you what tools to use, he explains how and why they work. If you really want to understand how things are working then I highly recommend him.

    • @gaz0428
      @gaz0428 5 месяцев назад +10

      I can understand why. I tried starting with him when I first got into blender and couldn't follow it at all. Now that I know a little more I can see how helpful his classes are. But I don't think they are beginner friendly.(At least not for people who learn like I do)

    • @ATLJB86
      @ATLJB86 5 месяцев назад +19

      @@gaz0428 that’s interesting because I feel he goes into way more detail and understanding. Maybe too much information was scrambling your brain but I had basic knowledge before I found him and he did more than say use this modifier, set this to this setting. He actually explains how and why things work and he doesn’t do it like he is explaining it to himself like 98% of people.

    Great stuff, dude! It would have been dope to have a list of the best 3D print channels using blender, too. Maybe in the next video like this? Thanks!

    I'm definitely going to check out the course (yours, Ducky! 😁). Since I decided to really get serious about all of this for REALS again, my New Year's project is a combination of two tuts from Polyfjord (one old, one new) that gave me the idea for the concept I'm working on. But the motion techniques and material designs largely come directly from the many things I've learned (and am still learning!) from THIS channel. Thank you many muches as always bro!

    The channel Artisans of vaul has a lot of good content on 3d modeling for 3d printing and how to use different blender tools. Really good resource!

    Here's an unusual question for someone who's barely even scratched the surface of 3D.
    I'm looking to learn to use Blender for a *highly* specialized task - essentially, creating assets for Cities Skylines, particularly sci-fi type buildings and industrial equipment (cranes, etc). What skillset would be the best to learn for this sort of task? There's *very* little out there for actually building singular assets and how to model things such as buildings and equipment; what would Blender experts (such as yourself!) suggest for skillsets to learn for that task?

    Thanks for this, Ducky! I was already subscribed to many of your suggestions. Others, I was familiar with but hadn't subscribed. I have now.
    Question: Is there a way to group specific subscribed channels in RUclips so that only they show up in my viewing options? I would love to be able to say, "Tonight is going to be a Blender bingeing night", click a button and only have new (or new to me) Blender related content show up.
