      Hi Melody! If you keep watching the video, I talk about where to put the increases as you go. :)

      I’ve only been crocheting a year so please excuse me if this comes across as rude or isn’t easy to understand but I e tried to write it so that somebody like myself could understand it. I’ve never written crochet instructions before (as I’m sure you’ll be able to tell!! Haha) so I hope you can follow me.
      If you have 2 colours ie red and white then you’ll do half a circle in each colour so that the two halves make a full circle and each round will be;
      To start; 6 red DC stitches and 6 white DC stitches into a magic circle (MC) or into fourth chain from hook if using 4 chains to start rather than MC,
      ROW 2; 2DC in every stitch, [12 stitches each colour];
      ROW 3; **2DC in first stitch, 1 DC in next** (**repeat**), [18 stitches each colour];
      ROW 4; **2DC in first stitch, 1 DC in next two stitches** (**repeat**), [24 stitches each colour];
      ROW 5; **2DC in first stitch, 1 DC in next three stitches** (**repeat**), [30 stitches each colour];
      ROW 6; **2DC in first stitch, 1 DC in next four stitches** (**repeat**), [36 stitches each colour];
      ROW 7; **2DC in first stitch, 1 DC in next five stitches** (**repeat**), [42 stitches each colour];
      ROW 8; **2DC in first stitch, 1 DC in next six stitches** (**repeat**), [48 stitches each colour];
      So all you’re doing is adding one extra single DC stitch in between the increase stitches (an increase is 2DC in one stitch).
      If that’s not easy to read then I’ll write in different way;
      Start with 6 white DC and 6 red DC in MC/fourth chain from hook.
      Row 2 - 2DC in each red stitch from previous round, repeat with white,
      Row 3 - **2DC, DC** (**repeat** to end of semi circle in each colour - same on every round to end)
      Row 4 - **2DC, DC, DC**
      Row 5 - **2DC, DC, DC, DC**
      Row 6 - **2DC, DC, DC, DC, DC**
      Row 7 - **2DC, DC, DC, DC, DC, DC**
      Row 8 - **2DC, DC, DC, DC, DC, DC, DC**
      And so on......
      I’m not very good at explaining but I hope this helps to understand. It’s basically adding that extra single DC in each row and remembering to only do 1/2 a circle of each colour. Good luck. I hope you enjoy it as it’s a very easy/simple pattern once you get the hang of it.
      In fact I tend to start with the MC (magic circle) then instead of the 6DC of each colour I start with a SC, HDC, DC, DC, DC, DC to make a gentler start to the spiral. It looks even cuter! xx

      Bev F this will end up with edges not fully circular. 🤔

      @@PawfectPastimesAmo when you are ready to finish the spiral end of each color on the last 3 stitches end with a hdc,sc,and a slip stitch .

    what do i do if it won’t stay flat?

    • @HookedbyKati
      @HookedbyKati  3 года назад

      Make sure you are doing enough increases in each round. Consider using a pin to mark your first st in each round, since the spiral effect can make it hard to see where you start and end each round.
