All my projects are now put aside since I've seen this blanket! This is cool! I'm going to try one variegated and two solid coordinating colors. Thanks so much, Michael for always giving us these great patterns, explaining in such an easy understanding way, and giving us the confidence for making these beautiful projects!
My grandma taught me that the only time you should change your hook is when you've worked the hook down and it no longer is the size imprinted on it. She used to go until her hooks were nubs, lol. Anyway, thanks for the tutorial! I was having a little trouble.
This is great. It reminds of the never ending blanket. I just love doing them. I like working with multiple colours. I’m looking forward to making this blanket. Incidentally the never ending blanket was the first blanket I made.
I have somehow ended up with several balls of Bernat Baby Blanket yarn in different colors. This might be a quick and easy way to use it up. I doubt that a little person would care about sparkles. Thanks Michael💕
That's so genius. When I first started the craft I found myself buying a single ball of colorways I liked because"surely I can make something with 1 ball rught?????" Now I can just use 3 notmatching one together and finally use them!
MIKEY you are wonderful. This is soo much fun and yes, i am shocked it could be this easy. Every time I reached the end of a color section or right before the next revolution, there was a big sense of accomplishment (forgive me for being such a novice) but this was great, SOOO HELPFUL!!!!! Please never stop tutoring us :-)
Thanks, Mikey, for another great tutorial! Another blanket to put on my to-do list. LOL (I'm not sure my husband will thank you, but, whatevs!) Hope all is well. Thanks again for showing us how it's done!
I imagine it would be the same concept with more colors? Could I use this pattern to do a rainbow spiral, or would I be better off, less confusing, to find a rainbow spiral pattern?
@@ediearnold1716 I’ll look up the pattern tomorrow. There’s a link in the video description with the sizing if you want to peak now and not wait fir me. Out of office at the moment.
But you could always make 3 balls of your 1 color and work it like Michael does. It gives a different look having 3 spirals vs the one going in a circle
You could do a single crochet border around but make sure you keep the stitches a bit loose. I don't think this pattern needs anything fancy as the spiral is already busy as it is. :D
I’m really not sure. Give it a try and see if it sits flat. You may need to do three posts to start fir reach colour instead of 4. That will give you the correct starting count.
@@TheCrochetCrowd I'm three rounds in, and so far it's looking like it still works! Yay! I did 3 DC (well chain plus two DC) of each of the 4 colors to start, so I kept the same 12 stitch first round.
@@TheCrochetCrowd thank you. I have a blanket I'm working on like yours but using just two colors. My problem is it won't stay flat. The sides keep bending up

I LOOOVEEEE the video chapters. Thank you!
pro trick : watch movies at kaldroStream. I've been using them for watching loads of movies these days.
@Gerardo Romeo yea, been watching on Kaldrostream for since november myself =)
At last! An explanation for how to know where the increase goes!
Was that missing before?
You are so much fun to watch! You make me laugh. And you give very good instruction. Thanks for the entertainment 🙂

Have fun! Sounds like you have yourself a plan!
I was thinking about that blanket when I was studying this last night. Great minds.
It gives the illusion of a umbrella.
Yeah you are right, reminds me of an outdoor umbrella now that you said that.
Seriously, my FAVORITE round bernat blanket pattern EVAR! thank you SO MUCH for making this simple as can be!!!!!
I'm glad the tutorial could make sense for you .
This is so clear! Thank you for making the unusual look easy
Maybe just a fluke eh. :D
I have somehow ended up with several balls of Bernat Baby Blanket yarn in different colors. This might be a quick and easy way to use it up. I doubt that a little person would care about sparkles. Thanks Michael💕
Yeah, that young may never know the difference.
That's so genius. When I first started the craft I found myself buying a single ball of colorways I liked because"surely I can make something with 1 ball rught?????"
Now I can just use 3 notmatching one together and finally use them!
Mike..... Thank you.....
My pleasure.

Don't apologize for being a novice. That's the purpose of these tutorials to show you ways to think about patterns.
The stitch marker makes all of the difference.
Yeah it totally does in this case.
I'm definitely going to try this.
Hope you enjoy
Thanks, Mikey, for another great tutorial! Another blanket to put on my to-do list. LOL (I'm not sure my husband will thank you, but, whatevs!)
Hope all is well. Thanks again for showing us how it's done!
You are so welcome! Do you have a pet you can blame for your hobby. PuppiDawg comes in handy once in a while. ;)
@@TheCrochetCrowd I do! I have a Peach (Beagle mix). She gets lots of love. ❤️💕❤️
Gorgeous. Thanks for making it look easy.
My pleasure.
This will be my next project : )
Let us know how you make out.
I like that you make it look so easy😊
It is not that difficult but I had to get my mind around the idea of looking at it from a circle perspective, not a spiral.
I imagine it would be the same concept with more colors? Could I use this pattern to do a rainbow spiral, or would I be better off, less confusing, to find a rainbow spiral pattern?
how would a self striping yarn work? I have a couple cakes begging to be used
How cool is that
yeah, it's pretty neat.
Love this
I enjoyed the concept too.
I love 💕 it!
It's different, that's for sure.
I am assuming you can use any sized yarn with the coordinating size hook?
I'm on round 4 and it wants to curve up like a bowl. Will it flatten out as I go? Thanks!
So, essentially, every round I’m increasing my SDC by one?
I love the colors from the working sample!
What yarn/ colors are you using?
I was using Bernat Baby Blanket. I don't recall the names as I was using scrap yarn in my collection to run this tutorial.
@@TheCrochetCrowd oh rats. Thanks Michael!
I know eh! Super genius or should I say Jenius!
How does that work with a much larger blanket ?
This is my next project!!💕
Thanks so much for making such wonderfully easy videos to follow! 💕
Do you just need 1 skein of each color?
Yes, 1 ball of each of the 3 colours. Not a lot of yarn commitment.
About what size will this turn out to be?
@@ediearnold1716 I’ll look up the pattern tomorrow. There’s a link in the video description with the sizing if you want to peak now and not wait fir me. Out of office at the moment.
I can do that, I’m sorry to bother you! But THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
@@ediearnold1716 I don’t mind helping. Figured you might want to know right away.
Can that be done with just 2 colors ??
Can i do this circle style with a single color yarn or do i need to do 3 different colors
Yeah I think you could actually.
It would actually be easier with one color. It would just be a continuous circle. You wouldn't have to drop yarn to work next color.
But you could always make 3 balls of your 1 color and work it like Michael does.
It gives a different look having 3 spirals vs the one going in a circle
Cool!
Yeah it's neat!
Would this work with t-shirt yarn to make a rug?
I cannot see why it wouldn't work.
I’m at the end of making my spiral blanket and I was wondering if I can put add a border, and what type of border would work for the pattern?
You could do a single crochet border around but make sure you keep the stitches a bit loose. I don't think this pattern needs anything fancy as the spiral is already busy as it is. :D
Thank you so much for the help😊
Would this work the same with 4 colors if each "wedge" was a multiple of 3 instead of 4? This way it still has the same number of total stitches?
I’m really not sure. Give it a try and see if it sits flat. You may need to do three posts to start fir reach colour instead of 4. That will give you the correct starting count.
@@TheCrochetCrowd I'm three rounds in, and so far it's looking like it still works! Yay! I did 3 DC (well chain plus two DC) of each of the 4 colors to start, so I kept the same 12 stitch first round.
Sounds to me you got. your solution. Thank you for trying on your own to see what magic you could whip up with your hook.
All of your advice works with just two colors as well, right?
It could actually. Neat thinking.
@@TheCrochetCrowd thank you. I have a blanket I'm working on like yours but using just two colors. My problem is it won't stay flat. The sides keep bending up
@@crazybooklady2104 might need to block it.
@@crazybooklady2104 you may be using too tight of a stitch and may need to stretch the project slightly. I have that issue sometimes.
@@linkthedaydreamer3447 maybe. Thanks for the tip
Will you do this left handed x
