Awesome tutorial!! So so helpful! I was able to take this pattern and adapt it to a 6 color spiral by starting out with a chain 2 and 2 double crochets for each color in the first round and then making sure I had the right number of stitches for each round after! Thank you!!

Thanks so much! And that is great you applied this to make a 6 color spiral. You could even do 12 colors, but no thanks on that tangled mess for me.

@@crochet.with.illjayi am working on a 12 color spiral... Loving it. Not that big a mess... But enough. Just 1 question, it's very wavy... Would you recommend making it with SC instead of DC?

You just answered my question in your first tutorial about using the magic circle. Have watched each of your spiral tutorials and they are all so helpful. . Am wondering, though, if you can put extra DC sts in the first end of each spiral. Whereas you say we make SIX sts to begin with, can you use seven, eight, or any other count to begin the spiral ? Or does using any other count alter the way the spiral forms ? TYSM for sharing your videos and techniques with us.

Hi Curtrice, when using dc, use 12 stitches to start for a flat circle. If you use less you will make a bowl shape. If you use more it will get really wavy.

Hi, your video is really great. Would you know how many skeins would you needs in each color for a blanket 6' wide ?

Hi Bryn, I’m not sure. I would get at least 2-3 of each color depending on size of the skein.

Hi Siggalua, thanks for the feedback. How you end the project is up to you depending on what you are making.

Someone else asked the same question. How do you close with one two three colors. I just want to know how to close a basic circle. Im left hanging. Now i guess i will have to find a tutorial to do that 😢

If you would like to taper off the ends, you could do something like 2hdc, 2sc, 2slst. I just meant to show the increase technique, how you choose to apply it to a project is up to you.

No, they all spiral out at the same time, you won't tell which is first or last

the pattern for 2 colours was 12 stitches in round 1, divided by 2 to make 6 stitches in each colour, and then continuing in a spiral in halves. for 6 colours you would have just two stitches for each colour in the first round, and the rest of the pattern would be the same, but worked in ⅙s instead of ½s. (btw, she did say in another comment that the first row *should* have 12 double crochets to make a flat circle, not more, not less). you'll need lots of stitch markers tho hahah hope this helps
