    Hi Andrea, that was so sweet of you to take the time to make this tutorial. It was so nice to see the entire process, including the font that you shared! I have a question. On the mat, how did you move all of the words at one time to get more spacing between words? In the video it looks like you clicked a certain button, and everything spaced itself more, unless you moved them individually off-screen? Thank you so much. Your jars look so amazing!

    • @AndreaPeacockDIY

      Hi there! If you want to move things around on the mat you have to click and drag each one manually 😊

  • @Jessica197
    @Jessica197 2 года назад

    I have every label grouped. Some of the labels when I weld fill in the script "o" loop. I am using the exact same font. Other "o's" look fine after welding while some fill in that top loop of the "o".

    • @Jessica197
      @Jessica197 2 года назад

      I think I figured it out. I wrote down the size of the grouped label. I dragged it out to make it larger. I welded it at a larger size. For some reason that worked. Then I shrunk it down to the size I wrote down.

    • @AndreaPeacockDIY
      @AndreaPeacockDIY  2 года назад

      If you make the width of a three letter word the same as a seven letter word (for example), the font size has to change. There’s no way to make the width of two different sized words the same without adjusting the font size. You could make them all the same font size instead, but if you have a longer word it will take up more space.

      @@koortl1 There's honestly no such thing as the right size. Just make it a bit smaller than whatever surface you're working with. I used all different kinds of containers in this video and used different measurements for each depending on the size. If your container is 10cm wide, then you might want to make the label 7cm to have a bit of space on either side. You can always cut one and try it out. As long as the label fits it will look good.

    Thank you for sharing your video. However i need help with my labels. I am using hokey pokey script font which i purchased from etsy but when i make the labels, the sizing of my labels is not consistent. I default set the height to 1.5” for all my labels even though i am putting it horizontally. Some labels are coming too thick and some too thin depending on the letters of the pantry product. I see you set default width to be 7cm and not the height. Is it where i am making mistake. Is there a way i can send you the picture of what i am talking about and you can help me fix it. I don’t see an attachment link here on comments..?

    • @AndreaPeacockDIY
      @AndreaPeacockDIY  3 года назад

      Have you tried playing around with the sizing? For my labels, I didn’t care how tall they were, which is why I only adjusted the width. If your labels have to be a certain height though that makes sense. Each word is going to turn out a bit differently depending how long the word is. I’m not too sure what you mean by too thin or too thick. As in the letters? I would play around with the measurements.

    Hi, I'm a new follower. Thanks so much for your tutorial, it was very in depth and easy to follow. Question: I used the Bradley Hand font and ended up with individual letters for my labels which caused a mess when trying to weed them off the paper. Is that because I didn't attach them to each other? Thanks..

    • @AndreaPeacockDIY
      @AndreaPeacockDIY  3 года назад

      Thanks for watching! I just looked up that font, and it’s not cursive, so all the letters would be separated, which is fine. In order for them to be cut in the right order as words instead of jumbled letters you need to attach each word, then use the transfer tape to lift each word.

    • @BSchuman0212
      @BSchuman0212 3 года назад

      @@AndreaPeacockDIY Thanks for your quick response! How do I get the word to stay together when lifting them? I ended up with separate letters that kept moving when I lifted them. I welded them together before I made it so I thought that would do it.

    • @AndreaPeacockDIY
      @AndreaPeacockDIY  3 года назад

      I’m not sure what you mean about the word not staying together when you lift it. If you stick the transfer tape overtop of the letters, then the word will stick to the tape, and you can stick that onto your surface.

    • @BSchuman0212
      @BSchuman0212 3 года назад

      @@AndreaPeacockDIY So each individual letter in the word is lifting separately and not lifting as the total word like yours did. This makes it so I have to reposition each letter in the word before attaching the transfer tape.

    • @AndreaPeacockDIY
      @AndreaPeacockDIY  3 года назад +1

      It sounds like you have to press down more on the tape with the letters underneath before lifting it, or be a bit more careful when lifting the tape to make sure all the letters are sticking to it. It can be tricky with more delicate projects.
