- Billy Fury performing his very first hit in late 1982 to mark his comeback. This turned out to be one of his last performances before his death on 28 January 1983. It wasn't broadcast until after his death.
Alas, there were no more tomorrow's for talented, gorgeous, charismatic Billy. His poor heart finally gave out three days after recording this.
Very sad that Billy suffered such poor health throughout his short life. One of the best to come out of the UK and a lovely guy by all accounts
Marty Wilde always pays tribute to him .
Beutiful man inside and out ❤
😢❤💛💙
I was and still am a Billy Fury fan. I saw him twice on stage at Gt. Yarmouth. Over the course of time I lost my old record collection, but years later I saw a Billy Fury CD in a discount store for £2 and bought it. I wasn't expecting much, just a cheap knock off with poor quality sound. Imagine my delight when I played it and found it was the real thing. That was 20 years ago, but I still have that CD and regularly play it while busy in the kitchen, and of course sing along. This is one of my favourite songs on the CD and I sing it beautifully. I have no idea why my neighbours keep complaining.
He sang beautifully right to the end of his career and was so gorgeous. He deserved so much more and more time on this earth.
Yes he certainly did and it is sad he passed so long before his time 💜
Billy finally found a beautiful love that loved all of him ! Truly found his dream a true love arrest woman to share his love ! His world for better. Or for the worst
Inevitable. Worst to come ! She held I I'm till the end ! And still kept loving him ! The songs he sang he lived them ! His search finally over ! Not enough time he and she deserved to have it all ! Their love so very perfect and real ! To them together they had it all ! Billy finally got more than half way to paradise ! To be t her they are evil paradise !
Billy was very kind to animals and would help the ones that were neglected and hurt . That's a special kindness.
Billy would have turned 80 today. Rip our greatest rocker.😢
Always been a fan of Billy since the 60s .. ❤️ Rest In Peace Billy
It is such a significant balad when one goes through a split with still hope left, Maybe Tomorrow
Billy was so courageous & bravely battled illness most of his life. It didn't stop him performing, singing & writing songs. He was a genius, tender, talented loving man who loved animals. What an amazing inspiration he was. It was his body that gave in. Billy battled right to the very end. I adore him
Remembering Billy Fury born on April 17, 1940. He was an English musician and actor. An early star of rock and roll, he equalled the Beatles' record of 24 hits in the 1960s and spent 332 weeks on the UK chart. His hit singles include "Wondrous Place", "Halfway to Paradise" and "Jealousy". Fury also maintained a film career, notably playing rock performers in Play It Cool in 1962 and That'll Be the Day in 1973. - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Billy_Fury
Great singer,great voice.R.I.P Billy.
I listened to him on Radio 208 am Luxembourg...never forgotten....
Absolutely brilliant rip Billy
I remember watching this on the night, Billy was on the verge of a comeback, there was a new album on the way and he was finding a new generation of fans, a tragic loss. This was always one of my favourite songs and highlights what a good songwriter he was, something he's not given enough credit for.
He was far superior to all the other British Rock 'n' Rollers. You are right he never had the credit that he deserved.
the best
The bests them all, so sad he was taken away from us so soon.
@@clivebate7966 to think that the Beatles, Rolling Stone, etc. Replaced this beautiful singers!
@@analuarca9590 yes, makes you think doesn't it Ana?
He was so good. Least you knew what he was saying .💙
Seeing Billy looking so poorly makes me want to cry. Yet his voice was just as fabulous.
As a teenage 16 yr old I and two girlfriends would meet up on a Friday night and play his music all evening long ,we would be singing along and crying at the sadder songs as you do when you are 16 ,for me this was 54yrs ago and I still love to hear the great Billy Fury sing but oh what happy innocent days they were all those yrs ago .
I have got all Billy Fury's song's on cd.
Words cannot sum up how much I love Billy Fury. What a legend. Talented and timeless. Thank you Billy. I'm looking after the birds and the animals. I hope I make you proud.
gone before his time billy never made a bad song a very talented man
Such a handsome guy - and great writer/performer: gone, like so many others, far too soon.

The BEST EVER MISS HIM
The best Brithish Rock.n Roller
A beautiful soul
I was a young girl from America and my older brothers turned me on to Billy's music. My mom had relatives in Liverpool who also exchanged musical likes and dislikes with us. I was a big fan of Billy's from the time I was about 10 years old.
I cried cus your will never get another Billy
Still love you Billy, RIP my darling & God bless always. xx
12 dislikes??? How can anyone dislike this, it's Brilliant. Billy does look old on this video, older than his years.
What a great song from a great guy whom I saw many times and met with in 1970 and again in1974 and had along conversation with him. Sadly missed. Rog brown. Pacific sunset records.
BRILLIANT love Billy so sad hes mo longer with us ❤
I appeared on the same bill with Billy and the Tornados in the 70’s. I remember him sitting in the dressing room in a gloriously tight pink leather suit. What a sweetheart. Went out with one of the band for a while who was also sweet and kind. How sad Billy’s life was so short. A really lovely man who deserved a longer life. God bless you Billy.
In my opinion Billy was better than the very overrated Beatles and the Rolling Stones who simply do not know when to retire. Billy was unique and very handsome. And had a very good singing voice. Nice tan as he got older. Why not? Everyone now seems obsessed with cosmetic surgery and botox. And Billy kept all his hair. Looking good. RIP Billy Fury.
Billy you are absolutely beautiful R I p xxxxxxx

Billy was wonderful.
What a talent
superb , he was taken far too soon. a great singer. also no one ever seems to have a bad word to say about him.
Fabulous singer/songwriter gone way to soon. "Maybe Tomorrow" was my favourite Billy Fury song. If the truth be known...I loved them all!! I saw him in concert in Blackpool, Chester and twice in Liverpool. I was gutted when we heard he was gone! We were robbed of his musical talents. R.I.P. You legend!!
Great singer

He seemed to be more proud of this sweet song than Halfway to Paradise. It appears 1st on the 1st CD of a 2 disc CD commemorating his 40th anniversary anthology. Many of his fans, including myself love this song.

LEGEND
Only the good die young 😥
thats why billy was a true icon he went to early long live his music never stop playing his songs the one and only singer from the uk
Yes, a brilliant recording, he throws such passion into his tracks, such a shame this former Mersey tug-boat operator was taken from us so early. He never 100 per cent well though sadly.
I loved hearing him on the radio. and yes I still love searching out his music to hear and see on modern tech. We were a lucky generation.
Loved billy what a great singer gone too soon xx
Omg. I love this guy his voice. Who weee such sweet. Singer. Met his mum jean we miss you xxxxx
Best singer ever xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Rip billy 36 years ago today 😪
What a legend sadly never got to see him but what a voice
Never seen this before. Thank you for uploading. His voice was as pure and perfect as always.
The best
I often think that, if Billy had stayed in Mid Wales and not put himself under the strain of making a comeback, he would have lived a lot longer. I worked close to where Billy then lived in the ‘70s. He was obviously at peace and happy there. I am not surprised, it is a beautiful part of the world. Of course, if Billy had lived to complete his comeback, he would have been as sensational as ever.
rest in peace ronnie my old mate.
BILLY wrote this song and recorded it in the late fifties i know because I was on the same show as him when he sang it
Superb. Always think of big brother John and Carol his true love and wife 😢 when I hear this track. As brilliant now.as ever. 👍
