I see good majority of people love Mandalorian s1, Rogue one, Andor, beacuse of the good stories and grit take of the star wars universe. I canceled my Disney+ and will no longer support Disney Star Wars until and unless they either fire literally everyone or sell it to someone else (preferably back to George).
George is retired and enjoying life why would he want to give that up ? We have better chance getting 4 billion ourselves then him buying Star Wars back. This is honestly George Lucas's fault. He didn't have to give away the Star Wars IP to disney. Lucas Arts was making banger games and Lucas Film was doing good. He wasn't hurting for money, he just got butt hurt because people didn't like the prequels. He had creative control issues (he would literally hunt down and destroy film reels of the original-original trilogy so he can push his "update" version of the original trilogy; I present "who shot first") and like a child who didn't appreciated what he had he threw it away and blindly trusted a mega corporation. No wonder he's divorced.

Also take into account that this poll was conducted on Grace Randolph's youtube channel where her subscribers are mostly for new Disney Star Wars, not usual hard-core SW fans. If this poll was conducted by a channel like Star Wars Theory there would have been a lot more than 51% of fans vowing to not watch SW again.

I have the same feeling. Maybe not complete disasters, but even if they manage to break even, that's kind of a big failure... Mando and Rey are the """"""big names""""" of Disney Star Wars. If those don't work, then they butchered the old characters (Luke, Han, Leia) and stories (EU) for nothing. It would be the end of the franchise, at least in its current form under Disney.
Put me in KK spot. I have got three trilogy/ show ideas what would not fail to gain interest. Hire the right people and these trilogies/shows would save Star Wars...
1) Revan trilogy.
2) Old Republic Mandalorian War Spin off show.
3) A true Heir to the Empire trilogy, not the current Ahsoka version.

Disney rested on its laurels after the ending of Mando season 2. That was an all time high and I don’t think they expected it to resonate with fans like it did. They tried to recreate that wow factor but each project suffers from too much good all at once . The brand needs to be sold to a company that won’t put any DEI or inclusivity requirements . They need to treat every show like Andor. They need the best writers and directors , a solid script and not be afraid to go there with violence or adult subject matter. Disney tries to please everyone but ends up pleasing no one

Disney has produced a lot of disappointing Star Wars content, from The Last Jedi to The Mandalorian season three, the Obi-Wan Kenobi project, Ahsoka, The Book of Boba Fett, and the first few episodes of The Acolyte. I hope that they consider hiring RUclips content creators or passionate Star Wars fans who create amazing fan films. Some of these fan films have been better than what Disney has produced, despite having more resources and money. I would be nice to revisit this now. After episode 5 and 8. After some of the best lightsaber fights in 20 years and Plageuis drop. As an OG SW guy who saw the original in theaters, I liked the Acolyte. I didn't love it. It has problems, but so do all the movies. Notably the prequels and sequels. Being a huge lore guy, I liked what Acolyte was trying to do. Execution was off, but I think that was as much as an executive thing as it was a Headland thing. They said they limited her to 8 episodes and small time. If the characters were fleshed out more like GoT or Andor, it wouldn't have been as bad. I don't know. Maybe I am a minority or just old or just a legends/lore nerd,a but I am so happy to have seen the kungfu Jedi, Sol doing Repulse. Qimir doing everything as a Sith. Cortosis. Just nuggets. 🤷🏻♂️

Ashoka has so mid. Rosario Dawson is a great actress, yet the role gave her no redemption. She just basically can look back and said she played a Star Wars character. THAT’S IT.
My problem with Stars Wars is the storylines and directing. All the characters seem so pensive and serious. No emotional range.
Luke: was awkward but fun and evolving fun yet bubbly and likable.
Hans: was the likable beer bubbly asshole who ultimately redeemed
Yoda: Was cracking jokes but then became more serious as his purpose was revealed.
Lando: Was the overdone charming pretty boy with an allure.
Darth Vader: Even he had a dark sense of humor.
All the characters were 3 dimensional and not so stoic. Their COMPLEXITY lured you in.
Great takes all around. Cancel Kennedy and reboot to Legends material.

I never renewed my D+ subscription, only way to force change in this world is to hit them in the bank accounts.
Until a person that knows about worldbuilding comes and starts superwising SW - nothing will change. At this point there is no other way to save franchisee, but to makes adjustments that will 'cancel' some new ideas. For that, you need a vision, massive vision and obviously knowledge about Star Wars. It doesn't matter if you really loved it, you need to have people by your side that love it, you need to be open to all ideas and understand which ideas can help.
Sadly, its already at that point. And Dave Filoni won't 'save' Star Wars. He understands the word, but he is not a worldbuilder. Tony Gilroy could reshape whole world, but there is no way current Disney can maintain him.
Just a tip: World between Worlds can basically change whole canon without canceling all Disney Projects. But, you need to change World between Worlds as well

To even like the first 2 episodes while hating on andor which is one of the only good projects is blasphemous. Just glad the 3rd episode made you realize whats going on.
The 3rd episode was weird and not as good, though if its later seen Mae's and then the jedi's points of view and we realize this episode wasnt telling the real story then retroactively the episode will become better imo. That said, the hate on the episode of it ruins star wars was absurd. anyone that cares about the witch coven leaders being lesbians are just trash people with hate in their hearts, eff em. And the manipulation BS was strong, all along all these channels had to know that it was only an explanation of the covens point of view of the force and not trying to rewrite the force for the jedi but NOOOOo, agenda drive ass hats have to be agenda driven ass hats.
The episode was really weak and boring but it wasnt the worst thing in star wars, as thats still is and always will be Jar Jar Binx.
Even George Lucas can’t come out of retirement to save Star Wars at this point in time, it’s that terrible. The market will be the key factor in terms of its success or failure. Moreover, I doubt that Disney(parent company of Lucas Films) have been dropping flop after flop to the point they had to pump the brakes and do quality control. Also, the market wants great storytelling no if and buts about it like The Boys, X-Men 97, or Invincible as examples of when a new season drops everybody shows up with their wallets in viewership.

I like the acolyte overall. I think making mando/grogu and Rey movies is a baaaaad idea. The ST was bad and i personally don't want to revisit any of it, which includes rey. Mando/grogu might have a better chance but like i watched 3 seasons of mando and grogu...
I love Star Wars. I will always love Lucas's Star Wars and the quality expanded lore that honors that legacy no matter how bad things get, but unlike the fans peddling toxic positivity who insist that being a fan of something means that you have to like everything with a brand name slapped onto it, I have standards and expectations of a certain level of quality. Part of actually loving something (or someone for that matter) is wanting the best for them and the best possible from them. Swallowing everything shoveled out to us without any discernment or discrimination is why corporations believe that they can take us for granted and catering to people who don't even liked it in the first place. The fact that there are some fans who indescriminately thank them and ask for more of whatever they give us regardless of how bad it might be is why they think they can get away with consistently offering us an endless stream of mediocre slop so long as it's a part of our favorite franchises. I want what's best for Star Wars, and I want to see it survive and thrive, but if these upcoming movies tanking after all of the abysmal failure we've had already is what it takes for Disney-Lucasfilm to FINALLY start reconsidering their countless terrible decisions over the last decade, then the franchise might very well be a zombified corpse walking already, and only a fan-driven return to the Expanded Universe will have ANY hope of reviving it. Disney-Lucasfilm need to seriously look inward, swallow their pride, and make some radical changes now if they want any hope of having anyone left to care, and they need to understand that even if they make positive changes, it's still going to take a lot of time and consistent effort to win back any of the people whose love and trust they've betrayed. As hard as it will be, it's their ONLY hope of sparing Star Wars (and if Disney isn't careful, Marvel and Pixar too) from the fate of becoming a truly dead brand.
Disney is destroying itself... They just don't get it... They don't get Star Wars and they don't get the simple concept of "Go Woke, Go Broke"

Ive been done since Kenobi, what a titanic let down for something that had been hyped up for years. Everyone wanted to know what happened between revemge of the sith and a new hope and we got NOTHING. It was about Leia, and Reva. They made Kenobi washed up which is their ONLY. Break the jedi donw and start their arc again so they can get back to exactly where we left them. STUPID. My dreams about what that show could be were better than every second of that garbage that was shat out into that series. Now, Im just here for the trainwreck. I hope its glorious. Like the death star exploding a 3rd time. I hope they experience half the soul crushing numbness of running a billion dollar franchise into the ground that the fans felt from having their childhoods spat from being served up mediocre, poorly written fan fiction.
Disney SW was dead before this show, that’s why i didn’t even bothered watching this last effort to not continue or expand my all time favorite story/franchise/piece of media. To me Star Wars is like a way of living, I’m always doing something related to it, but this time… after all the shows that came before… nah, “I can’t watch anymore” i seriously think this how Obi Wan felt watching those tapes

i used to defend the last jedi and even the rise of skywalker but when i viewed them a 2nd and 3rd time i started to notice something, a trend... "diversity". That became clearer and clearer after i witnessed the book of boba and the kenobi show. After the kenobi show i was begining to start hating lucasfilm/disney more because they put reva as the center of the show instead of obi wan or vader. Now with the acolyte it has been the last draw... im over star wars. you see i use to play every star wars game everyday from jedi academy to revenge of the sith game, swtor, kotor, bf 2 (og one) and now i just can't play star wars bcs when i see the name i start to become sad and defeated. So yeah im done...

I grew up with and loved the OT. I liked the first two seasons of Mando. It’s clear, though, that Lucasfilm is not making Star Wars for me. They have a younger, more female and much more socially liberal audience in mind. That’s fine. Doesn’t make me angry, but I am tuned out and apathetic about any SW content going forward.

The story is horrible, the acting is terrible, the sets look amateur. This feels like a really bad fan film. The best thing Star Wars fans could do is watch any of the episode 1-6 movies every Tues at 9:00 EST for the next 5 weeks.
