Honestly, I don’t think Disney is gonna look back to it and think that. From where they stand right now, they’re probably gonna continue this path with everything that they own and believe that it’s amazing. They’ll completely ignore the reaction that the fans have and then blame it on something ridiculous unfortunately. I would love for them to look back and say “yeeeeaaah we fked up” because I’d pay money to be in that room when it happens lol

And knowing how good Hayden is with portraying the conflicting emotions in his face, we could've gotten an oscar worthy moment from him as he goes from shock, to love, to loss, to pain, to anger and then fury. It would've been an amazing moment as Anakin shows his face for a moment before it's crushed. Obi-wan could've seen that for a moment his brother was there, and then Vader squashes it down and calls Anakin weak.
Obi-wan fully believing Anakin was dead after that would've been so believable it'd have hurt.

If Stuart Beattie ever releases the scripts for his Obi-Wan Kenobi movie trilogy, I hope we’ll get Fan Films to adapt each one! I saw your Vader: Shards of the Past episode and I can’t wait for episode 2, and your fan film adapting the Darth Plagueis novel!
Honestly, I wish Disney gave us these films. I wish they also gave their reasons why they cancelled certain projects instead of leaving us in the dark. Since they decided to change their strategy to switch from films to shows, why couldn’t the Kenobi show adapt his storylines instead? Why did they use a different script when they already had a written one? I would have loved to have seen more of Luke’s childhood, but it feels like Disney’s too focused on other things.

DEI hiring and favouring perceived "woke allies". It's all about THE MESSAGE when ideologues are in positions of power and Deborah Chow knew the right things to say to Kathleen Kennedy and Bob Iger. Literally all they care about are funding and installing others who are afflicted with or controlled by the mind-virus.
Look up Deborah Chow and all what she did prior to the Kenobi series, a load of crap, women talking movies nobody but pretentious woke film festival ppl care about, directed a couple eps of CW shows, one episode of Mr.Robot and two episodes of Mando season 1. She never did anything of actual merit and bounced around everywhere.
As serviceable a tv director as any other rando but not the type of creative you need or want on a Star Wars property (especially in a head position). The showrunner on Kenobi was Joby Harold, he's a producer and also not a creative that actually knows Star Wars. Look up his wikipedia. He was attached to a couple good projects but everything else is garbage just the same.
He co-wrote the nonsensical cocaine fever dream that was Army of the Dead with Zack Snyder lol. They got scared of the woke mob and stripped Chris D'Elia of the role that woulda made the movie watchable ruining his big break over some infidelity (they are all garbage-people that sleep around, like they have any moral superiority whatsoever) and replaced him with the insufferable Tig Notaro because she's a woman/lesbian (it definitely wasn't due to her comedic chops smh she is right up there with Hannah Gadsby when it comes to "clapter")

30 Days and Collateral are both goated. If Stuart is reading this i want you to know i rewatch them with my dad every year.
Also i'm one of the few that sees Vincent as a protagonist. If you take him at his word and don't make assumptions in bad faith (as one should) he was trying to help Max and dispel his delusions to make him more proactive with his life. He's not a sociopath. He demonstrates empathy and would have left Max alive at the end had he grew some balls. The whole film reminds me of the Raymond K. Hessel scene in Fight Club. You either LIVE...or you're already dead...
Collateral changed my life and made me a better man. I don't blame others for my problems, i'm keenly aware of that type of "wishing on a star" delusional safety blanket that causes ppl to be idle and complacent like that and i tell ppl plainly when i detect it and help motivate them to do the things that need doing instead of putting it off because of that movie and SOOO many great things have happened in my life as a direct result of that mindset i couldn't begin to list them all.
They never would have happened otherwise and i'd be single locked in a room playing video games getting fatter and stupider otherwise. I have a good woman, great career and am in exceptional physical condition solely due to that movie/character.

Fear. Solo didn't do well, and instead of being insightful and taking responsibility for Solo's poor performance (the story wasn't that good, it wasn't really the story people wanted, etc.) they essentially blamed it on the fans; "Oh, people don't want to see a movie about this character because they know he survives." That fear led them to cancel the Obi-Wan movie, and convince themselves that people wanted entirely new characters. And look where that's got them.

This is great content man, it's what the fanbase needs and it's incredibly refreshing to see someone so passionate about telling a good story.

I felt hope just from that interview. It took me back to my love of Star Wars. If only more people in charge had that passion imagine where we could be with this franchise

Omg Vader gaslighting the emperor that he let Yoda go because the Emperor called Vader out on not killing Obi-Wan like he should’ve on Mustafar is hilarious hahaha

Shows how bad things are at Disney that they can't see a good script when it's in their lap and don't appreciate when a writer has passion. I think from Stuarts short overview of the plot we can see it ties in to the right places in Star Wars. What a shame his vision has been lost to the current culture at Disney.

OMG!! Dude, PLEASE!! I beg of you. Publish this, even if it is in Legends, this story needs to be told. Listening to this, for the first time since The Last Jedi I felt that awe that I first felt in 1977 as a 12 year old boy sitting in the front row of the Chapel Hill Cinema. Thank you. Thank you so much. THIS is Star Wars!

@starwarstheory right at the end of this video, watching the emotion you went through listening to Stuart’s take on your Windu idea and confrontation with Vader was wonderful. Both of you have so much empathy for this world and these characters it’s ‘delightful’ to see.
Disney, please sort your shit out. We need Stuart leading the writing for some of your projects with Theory consulting.
    I’m hopeful.

Wish that version of Obi Wan was made , would have been good to get that part of the story before James Earl Jones passed away

You need to make a "fan fiction" out of this.
    This story should be seen.

So, the narrative structure would have been, reconnection, and then quest to confrontation. I really like the theme of letting go and the ball with dark Luke. Wow! Such a good concept. The key theme is needing is good ideas getting mangled and destroyed by Disney for reasons.

Taking a screenwriting class right now, and oh my god I am so pissed we didn't get this version of Obi-Wan.
The way he talks about story, and the way he talks about Obi-Wan's own journey back to the force is TOP SHELF STAR WARS.
