@the zman she was meant to be the female Vader of color that got hold back by her superiors and, other than Vader, could find her redemption without help. Rey>Luke. Reeva>Vader. Baby Leia>Obi Wan. Bo Katan>Din Sniper girl>Boba Fett Female>male. Kennedy>Lucas. Only question left is who will get the better of Han Solo, oh wait this also was Rey with being a better pilot and knowing the falcon better than the guy who flew it for decades and repaired probably every part of it. Rey=Kennedy 👸
Keep in mind that even the 10-year-old little girl they got to play Leia thought the Austin Powers hiding under a trenchcoat thing was so stupid that no one would believe it. The writers are literally stupider and more incompetent than a ten-year-old.
i just can't believe the writers are getting paid for this shit... And how can the director see this scene and be like "yes this would work in real life!"
That was such a Looney Tunes moment I can't believe it passed through EVERYONE in Disney. Like concept artists, wirters, animators, storyboarders, VFX crew, cinematographers, editors, producers... seriously none of these people thought about that it might look a bit ridiculous?
People saying Vader "loves the chase" can't be familiar with the character. There was an entire f-ing trilogy that was basically about Anakin being told he was too inpatient. The guy spent three movies getting into trouble by being impulsive.😁
Mentioned that yesterday. Vader barely shows any emotion other than hate or anger. The closest I have ever seen him mess around with an enemy was his duel with his son Luke when he threatened to turn Leia if Luke wouldn’t which backfired on him quite a lot. Other than that I haven’t seen Vader do much manipulation or toying around with lives like his master. He was usually dead serious and didn’t have much patience after losing nearly everything that he once cared about.
Exactly bro I'm so happy other people think it's cringe they're just trying to get Lizzo fans to watch Star Wars, like stop trying to get a new audience and try to keep your old audience!
@@cooliostarstache5474 wasn't basically everything besides like first and last episode per season filler in Mando? It's been a while now since I watched it, but I remember everything in between basically being like Power Rangers, basically an episodic monster of the week random stuff that doesn't move the plot at all.
Ewan McGregor admitted that it was supposed to be a show about Obi-Wan and Luke. Then Kathleen Kennedy did what she always does and insisted it be about Leia and "Reva."
This idiot better hold on to her job as best she can, cuz she's gonna be working ice cream stalls after this. She is single-handedly and intentionally disassembling the Star Wars franchise until we won't have a single piece of quality content, watching us fans eat each other up so it can finally die. We demand *art*, not this stupid political and feminist agenda crap. It does not work anymore. I like keeping up with the goings of the world via afternoon news, I don't need that crap *everywhere*.
A lot of recent Star Wars material just seems to not have a direction, there is no foresight with the stories being created the “and then X happens” really does show.
I hate Disney for giving us a Kenobi series based between episodes 3 and 4 AND starring Hayden and Ewan YET SOMEHOW they still made it shit. It’s actually kind of impressive how they managed to make it a bad show with the material they had to use
If you’ve played “Jedi: Fallen Order” you’ll realize that whoever wrote this show plagiarized that games major plot pieces and used them here. A lot of the same comparisons being: a jedi character regretting/suffering failures of their past, bringing in a knight sister with an underlying personal vendetta against the character, using the underwater imperial base and recycling the SAME EXACT tactic of using the force to break the glass to flood the base to escape, etc…. There’s so much plagiarism that it’s pathetic. They couldn’t even do it properly.🤣
holy shit, didn't make that connection since i thought well since both were canon to SW universe might be coincedence but yeah you're actually right. The plagiarized it to the bone and failed to see why it actually paid off just like how *spoiler alert* and why Cal lost his connection to the Force and why he chose to live in exile, they're the exact same parallel
@@akmalrusydi2730 attempting to make Reva seem as morally grey as Trilla was in Fallen Order was such a dud. Reva’s hatred’s towards Obi-Wan makes no sense because it’s not his fault Anakin murdered her Jedi peers. Trilla’s motivation makes sense where she’s not just operating as a mindless sith inquisitor to complete her objective and retrieve the holocron, but her vendetta against Cere made more sense because Cere was actually her master and felt she was to blame for her suffering.
What's worse is that this show takes place after that game, and yet the security on the base is probably even worse than it is in the fucking game. Let's ignore whatever fuck happened inside the building and remember that the planet was blockaded by a fleet of Star Destroyers and the snow speeders still somehow managed to slip through. Oh yeah, where are Tie Fighters and reinforcements at the end? They tried so hard baiting with the fan service and this time it wasn't just bringing back Mando or Ahsoka. It's poorly attempting to recreate the plot of the game.
yeah what was happening in the writers room? were they smoking crack and meth the entire time until the day of the deadline and just threw some shit together?
From what I've heard from the writers of the show, the last scene between Vader and Obi-wan was written the way it was because the writers thought it would be clever if Obi-wan didn't know Vader's true identity until the face reveal. Despite the fact that in Revenge of the Sith, Obi-wan saw a holo-recording of the emperor referring to Anakin as Vader almost immediately after slaughtering the younglings.
That literally means they have not taken the time to re-watch the material they are using for building blocks to their franchise. How do people get hired to make money only to make decisions that cost alot of money??
It also makes the whole “When we last fought I was mere but a student, now I’m the master” line from Star Wars 1977 even more dumber now because the added battle was so unnecessary. It worked great with the prequels because Anakin was still the student to his Master Obi Wan, and now as a new creation… Vader is “a master of evil”
Obi-Wan and Vader are legacy characters (also white, straight and male), which Kathleen Kennedy and Lucasfilm especially hate. There was never any doubt they'd become side characters to women and POC'S.
Well nowadays, these studios think they need a black character in order to be successful. Honestly they only added her for diversity, the story wouldve worked without Riva. And i think thats more insulting to the actress and black audiences than not including such a character at all. Almost like an afterthougt "better add someone black or we are racist"
@@ggt47 Blade is completely different, without him there would be no movie. But Reva? Nah the series worked even without her and she honestly stole a lot of focus off of Obiwan and Vader
My husband said something a few months ago that made me laugh when we were watching Kenobi having to turn the volume down while Turd Sista was screaming. He said he doesn’t mind that they have certain criteria for roles, but why do they have to cast such awful looking terrible actors. Do we get Beyoncé or Halle Berry or Vanessa Williams or Pam Grier? No. We get Leslie Jones and Lizzo. 6 months later, what do we see? I couldn’t stop laughing. I didn’t even know who Lizzo was when he first mentioned her. It’s as if once they decide the type of actor they want, they no longer care about ability or talent. That is how we’ve arrived at such a sad state of affairs.
Tragic part is how we live in a time when we'd get called out for stating facts. We'd be told to shut the heck up and that we're being fatphobic. Heck, I'm fat, but I'm doing what I can to stay healthy and eventually lose weight properly. Everything is so sensitive these days. The thought police has gotten into everyone. And, yes, I do not find Lizzo attractive whatsoever, and it should be normal to be able to state that.
I consider this to be the same as the whole emasculation of men. An entire generation of women are teaching men to be betas but they’re not actually attracted to them. Look at the men that we actually hook up with. We are still attracted to strong confident men. We are creating a society of ineligible partners. I don’t know why we would do that but that’s what women are doing now. All of these stans and beta orbiters and suck-ups that defend their favorite girly RUclipsr, none of us would ever date one of them. It’d not an attractive quality. Just look at who Amouranth is actually sleeping with. He may be a bad example but because he is a piece of s…..T. My point is that no matter social engineering is going to make an unattractive person or unattractive qualities attractive. So you can have all the campaigns you want about being attractive at any size but, that’s not going to get you any more dates. It doesn’t make ugly people less ugly to put them up on a poster. Pretty soon we will be canceling people because they are not attracted to uglies. This is already happened in the xrans community where certain activists already want to have the right to bullying you to partnering with them. It’s sheer insanity. The bottom line is if I want to see a bunch of ugly people I can just go outside. That’s not what I watch movies and television for.
Leslie Jones at least is a comedian. Whether you think she's funny or not is a different conversation, because there are those who don't think Bill Burr is funny, but he's a comedian and he was in the Mandalorian. Jack Black is a comedian, Christopher Lloyd is a comedian. Lizzo is just... a singer, and not even one that is trying out to be an actor like Harry Styles. Very strange casting choice
The worst scene for me was when Obi-Wan, the greatest defensive duelist of all time yet a mediocre force user, lost to Darth Vader in dueling but beat him with force powers.
@Bane520 Yes and no against obi, wan he lost because he was conflicted (another example of bad disney writing), but yes, he is better in saber combat and force ablites his lightsaber form isnt a single form its all forms (execpt maces) making him the best duelist in cannon
the part of him grabbing the wrong ship is even more stupid because hes a force user. He shouldve easily sensed wich ship had lifeforms on it and wich was empty lol
There are good moments (Bad batch S2) but its at the point where your friends are already telling you to leave that man and find someone who appreciates you Seriously after Boba Fett, Mando S3 and this show Star wars is dead and now they're making a Rey trilogy.... yeah no thanks
@@RedDeadDepressionist Its a great game. But the issue was how the ending of the game forced the two abusive parents to make up in the end and it just felt too quick
It’s unfortunate how Disney has truly ruined Star Wars. You know it’s bad when the story for Fallen Order/Survivor is better than majority if not all of the stories Disney has put out for the franchise.
That’s because it told it’s own story without creating plot holes in the canon. They either should have continued the story without contradicting anything that’s happened in the previous films or told a completely new one that isn’t completely connected with the Clone Wars or the Rebellion against the Empire. Sure both are mentioned in Fallen Order but they aren’t the main conflict whatsoever.
What confused me the most is how the third sister even knew that kidnapping Leia would draw Obi-Wan out of hiding. "Lets kidnap this random princess on some random planet and hope that Obi comes to save her" Like what?
The (dumb) explanation the show gives is that in “the archives” (whatever the fuck that is), Reva found evidence of the relationship senator Bail Organa and Obi Wan had. She assumed kidnapping Leia would make the senator ask for Obi Wan’s help.
13:50 I genuinely *hate* the cliche of the spy or traitor pulling rank to get somewhere they're not meant to be. I've seen full bird colonels get turned away from secure facilities because their credentials weren't in order or on file. Your rank doesn't mean jack versus someone charged with protecting a secure location.
The entire show was an embarrassment… from Leia being annoying to Reva being the second trashiest Star Wars character (congratulations! She almost tied Rey!)
It was incredibly stupid for Vader and obi wan to fight, it never should’ve happened. It ruins the fight in episode 4, and even so, Vader should’ve easily won. And he did, but obi wan couldn’t die because of plot.
I can see a reason them fighting, cause vader shouldnt stopped looking for kenobi all those years, but the way they did it sucked, and yeah, vader definitly shouldve won easily
@@MrWord283 No hell no in absolute way or form should these fights have ever existed. An absolute fucking joke. No reason for them ever to be seen again until episode 4, this show goes to defile great characters.
@@BeautifulMan4015 although I agree it shouldn’t happen, there a couple of lines in original trilogy that supports a rematch after episode 3. Like the one where obi wans says that he is more machine than man, and if you remember, as far as obi wan knew, he just let anakin die in mustafar. The other one is when Vader says to Luke “obi wan once thought as you” about having the “good” in him, and that’s something that never happens in episode 3. I mean, that’s why I can see it happening but I would have preferred not
@@MrWord283Why would he have kept searching? He spent close to two decades hunting down every single Jedi alongside hundreds, if not thousands, of Stormtrooper companies. Sure, Obi-Wan was the greatest defensive Jedi to exist, but even Yoda would have died if he hadn't gone into exile, which only happened because Bail Organa was there to save both. Since Vader had no clue that Organa not only was a Rebel sympathiser, but also smuggled high-ranking Jedi, he simply assumed Obi-Wan had died due to the entire galaxy hunting him.
@@memememe609 like I said, I’d prefer they never encounter, but there’s a couple of lines in OT that supports that encounter between episode 3 to 4, so, if they had done it right, the rematch MAYBE it could have worked, but sadly it didn’t in this context
She’s the racist. The woman had the audacity to say “you’ve got talking droids and no people of color. It’s 2022”. Like, Lando, Mace Windu, Cere(Jedi Fallen Order), Trilla(Jedi Fallen Order) and all those other characters from the Mandolorian like Finnic and others just don’t exist? She’s a moron.
@Donald Jr Trumpy With Daisy Ridley it’s a little harder to tell. In her defense, Ridley very clearly and very publicly *despises* the Disney films and has been consistent with showing her particular disdain for the writing in the movies, especially after Episode IX was completed. Look at some of her interviews released around that same time and you’ll see what I mean. Now, of course, Ridley still agreed to be involved, but I suppose it is hard to blame anyone for accepting a large Disney paycheck. With regard to her acting chops, we can say with a certainty that her work in Star Wars indicates almost no presence of talent or ability. But is that really her fault? I’m not sure, and you’ll have to make your own judgments. Those films were so sublimely awful, the stories and accompanying dialogue so childish and atrocious, that I frankly doubt anyone could have made the material look good. I think she’s probably a middling actress at best, and thus had absolutely no hope of salvaging Disney’s ungodly mess. Because of her involvement in Disney’s attempt at Star Wars, she has become a polarizing figure amongst cinema fans. Therefore, her paucity of notable roles outside Star Wars can probably be attributed to other studios’ resultant hesitancy to touch her (again, because of her performance in Star Wars). The other possibility is that she does in fact just suck. Look at her opposite lead in the Disney films - Adam Driver. His career took off in spectacular fashion after Episode VII. He is clearly a remarkable and capable actor. Driver’s post-Star Wars success when compared to Ridley’s makes me conclude that she’s probably just average to poor in terms of appeal and ability, regardless of how divisive her involvement with Star Wars was. Edit: It is also worth mentioning that Driver’s character and performance seems to have been received much more favorably than Ridley’s. Studios and casting directors are probably sensitive to this fact and are therefore less timid about hiring Driver, whose star status seems to have been enhanced by his involvement with Disney Star Wars. In fact, Driver may very well be the only one of the leads in the entire trilogy whose career benefited. Which again would suggest that he is a cut above the others in terms of acting ability.
The mismanagement of arguably the largest IP in history, being absolutely smashed into the ground feels like it will be a case study in the future. For years I really hoped for a KOTOR adaptation, now I fear they'd actually do it
Here, couple of facts about Obi-wan Kenobi: - It was meant to be movie trilogy. - Female lead Sith. Reva? Was not meant to be in movies. She was put there because Kathleen Kennedy. - Movies was meant to be Obi-wan journey to becoming old hermit, crazy old man jedi who is capable of killing or at least cutting arms In the middle of public cantina. - Movies would have feature Darth Vader hunting Obi-wan Kenobi as he was his obbession, but they would have never actually met. - Movies would have had flashbacks between Anakin and Obi-wan. - Movie trilogy turned into the TV show, because Kathleen Kennedy wanted strong female character. As a lead role.
Would've rather wanted 6 hours worth of movies than 6 hours of Reva doing dumbfuck parkour on a roof, Leia being chased by thugs in a walking speed and whatever fuck happened in that Fallen Order fan-bait episode.
This mini-series proves that Count Dooku (Darth Tyranus) was right calling Obi-wan a moron constantly in the AOTC and Clone Wars. Also given how much he trolled Anakin, Dooku was right about him too apparently. Darth Tyranus was ahead of his time.
The reason for Reva is appease the crowd of people who only engaged with the Star Wars franchise to complain about the “lack of diversity” and “lack of strong female characters.” Disney is only adding characters like Reva for those reasons alone and the painfully awful execution and fucking with the timeline makes it obvious
As a black woman, I have to question the choice of hairstyle for Riva or however you spell her name. I was done with Star Wars after The Force Awakens, but I love watching RUclipsrs roast the Disneyfied franchise.
The most painful, painful part about all this is seeing so many people defend bad choreography, poor writing, memberberry pandering, and all other forms of madness spilling from Disney's blackhole of idiocy.

Between 10 year old Leia outsmarting a fucking JEDI MASTER at every turn, Reva screaming at everything and everyone within a 30ft radius of her at any given moment, and the fact that lightsaber wounds are now the equivalent of a papercut... it's safe to say that this was some of the most embarrassing, contrived, idiotic bullshit I've ever seen from a big budget TV series. Only Disney could manage to completely fuck up a series about Obi-Wan, Darth Vader and the Inquisitors
The "female antagonist" Ravanna, or whatever the hell her name is, was the worst part about the show. The character doesn't fit at all into Star Wars. It felt like an underqualified diversity hire given an opportunity they didn't deserve, metaphorically of course. Nothing about her made sense. At first she was the scorned woman consumed with anger and hatred for Obi Wan. Then it turns out she is wanting revenge on Vader who she has been trying to please through exacting mayhem and carnage on any jedi she can hunt down. It made no sense. Unless of course Disney is injecting more feminism into Star Wars by creating a jedi female antihero for fans to ultimately reject and hate. By the end of the series that's exactly what it looks like. Why the hell would Vader leave her alive after she betrayed him and tried to kill him? Yet in many other instances Vader would kill his subordinates for simply delivering bad news. RIDICULOUS Post Script- I actually watched this video because I was curious if anyone else hated the feminist propaganda in the series, as well as the whole Disney Star Wars franchise, as much as me. I CANCELLED my subscription 30 min ago.
They have a vendetta against male characters, that's why they are now always focusing on the least interesting and more supportive female characters like Leia and Rey, and I could name more but I honestly dont remember and dont care to research, like the black lady of the kenobi show, the little kid and more recently Sabine. I have nothing against women being the protagonists but it has to be done right and you can NOT disrespect the old characters and lore. Mainly the main character of the original Star Wars, that being Luke Skywalker, in order to make your new female characters better in comparison. THIS DIRECTION IS TRASH!
@@MrEstrela12 Completely agree. nothing wrong with female protagonists, but it has to be done right. To be honest I'm glad Disney is dying. They deserve it after all the crap they've done and caused. Their pathetic agendas will cost them dearly
Reva was so embarrassing, I can only imagine that her tenure as an inquisitor was entirely because Vader knew who she was and what she was doing, and just let her think she was succeeding all as the greatest long term prank in Star Wars history. Besides Order 66, of course.
The wise old mentor from A New Hope has been turned into a dumbass who blurts out Leia's name in front of stormtroopers and attempting to sneak her out of the Inquisitor's base by hiding her under a coat only to be caught red-handed. Obi-Wan of all people didn't foresee that consequence. That's the state of Star Wars canon now.
I loved how the hyped up Obi Wan v Vader fight that literally breaks canon but whatever, is just Vader shitting on Obi wan till he gets an anime powerup, where Obi wan then beats the shit out of Vader with no resistance, to act like Vader couldn't stop any of those rocks while having just shown him stopping an entire ship is crazy.
We're lucky Obi-wan didn't suckle on the breasts of an alien. It could've been a spiritual journey, and a simple story of Kenobi protecting Luke's identity, and learning that Anakin had survived as a mechanical monster. He could've tried finding or communicating with other Jedi only to comprehend they really were all dead. He could've accepted how badly he'd failed Anakin, and the Republic, allowing the Sith to return. Kenobi could've reflected on the arrogance of the fallen Jedi order, and through his new-found humility met the ghost of Qui-Gon. He could've learned through Qui-Gon how to become one with the force upon death, knowing that one day he would have to face Vader again, and die in that fight in order to help Luke overthrow the Empire, and restore the Republic. Instead we got him working as a butcher, and a pointless showdown with Vader where we already knew the outcome, Inquisitors that nobody cared about, and a child that could outrun adults because they were outsmarted by branches. Fucking woeful.
I love how the writers of Obi Wan neglect the fact Leia NEVER met him before A New Hope, like the line during her hologram where she says "Years ago you served with my father during the close wars" basically confirming that was the first time she had ever spoken to him directly albeit through a message she wasn't sure would reach him.
I said that in the first episode. I couldn't believe they would do something so stupid but then again it's Disney. I'm hoping the Ahsoka show is going to be good.
I got banned from r/StarWarsMeme for making a meme about how a Twitter post by Disney was blaming all the criticisms about the show on racists & sexists... No one was criticizing the show because of Reva's skin color and they were just mad I pointed this out.
PS: The Grand Inquisitor (despite his horribly inaccurate make-up) was the only one who should've been able to survive a stab to the gut.because of his 2nd stomach
My biggest annoyance with this show was how many times they BLATANTLY copied Jedi: Fallen Order. Lost connection to the force from PTSD, catching Leia from falling thus using the force for the first time in a long time, almost the ENTIRETY of the Fortress Inqusitorius break in. I understand that Fallen Order is a game, so less people would know it compared to shows and movies, but since the game is considered canon, its funny to think Fortress Inquisitorius got a downgrade in security😂 The only reason I watched the whole show was because of my deep love for Ewan and Hayden…
A plot hole that jumped to my eyes with the last episode : How the fuck did Reva get to Tatooine? Every ship was destroyed, the empire left her stranded... And still, she managed not only to heal herself, find a ship, but arrive there much faster than Obi-Wan who basically made a straight line to Tatooine, with only a pit stop to humiliate Vader on the road...
I made it up to the episode where Vader and Obi fight. When Vader shows up and do Darth Vader shit I was like, ok... maybe this show has some hope.... then fights end happened and Vader just lets him get away and I was like, "Nope.", and stopped watching.
>a show about Obi-Wan >made him a complete wimp, which is NOT his personality >replaced him with a woke female char that nobody likes >she, a Jedi, fought Darth Vader with intense hatred. Not single Jedi did that. Bruh! Edit: This is NOT EVEN Darth Vader, either. Everyone knows he'd kill his subordinate if they failed once due to sheer anger, yet instead, he's toying with her? And how dare her think she could have a chance to kill Darth goddamn Vader, anyway? is that black armor guy Darth Vader, or Emperor Palpatine? Just watch Star Wars Visions. As much as this show is non-canon, it still feels like Star Wars, unlike this pile of vomit hell.
Those aren’t fans those are critics trying to like what’s getting shoved down there throat and if you say anything negative about it they start insulting you and tell you every single slur
@@Kriplingpowr I want to agree with you, but there's swarms of these people defending every wet, runny shit that pours out of the mouse. This includes social media, and a great deal of people I've met in my day-to-day life.
We all know this show could have and should have been a film and that it should have been a dialgoue-heavy, character-driven story about Obi-Wan coming to terms with everything that happened and learning from Qui Gon
I think the biggest difference between Kenobi and Mavrick is that Kenobi is banking off the viewer reminising and catching references. Meanwhile, Maverick was banking off the characters reminiscing about their pasts. They are investing in their hisotry, and thus we share the connection with them. While Kenobi jangles some keys and then sticks its hand out for rewards
at this point it is more fun to watch the critics take apart the shows than watching the shows themselves. if you want to know how much Disney loves cameos, watch the twitter reactions on the reveals. Those are more important to Disney than making good shows that stick around for more than 1 or 2 seasons
I haven't seen this show and I have no interest in seeing it. But upon learning Vader was in it, and would meet Obi Wan, I immediately thought: "This totally ruins the impact of them meeting again in A New Hope, also causes the 'When I left you I was but the learner, now I am the master' line to have no real meaning anymore"
It was completely unnecessary. It did really nothing to advance a story since you knew the ultimate ending and the "sassy" leia was just terrible all together. The main character (yes i said it) hates families and kills them to get to a place to get revenge on Vader.... for killing her firends and family yrs ago. Um... wtf sense does this make? Ends justify means?
This was literally the worst show I've ever seen in my life. I was in disbelief watching it week to week how it just got worse and worse. I immedietly lose respect for anyone who appreciates anything about this show.
I knew this show was shit when Kenobi defeated a fully trained Darth Vader after barely being able to move a tiny rock with the force, meanwhile Vader has been slaughtering Jedi and other foes the last 10 years and embracing his powers. Plot armor at its finest. I think they should have had Vader win, it would tie into episode 4 perfectly when Vader said "When I left you I was but the learner now I'm the master" implying that Vader defeated Obi Wan but was too weak to kill him and in episode 4 Vader was finally willing to kill Obi Wan.
Not to mention all the death and destruction Vader does in the future will be on Obi-Wan's hands now cause he let Vader go. At least in Revenge of the Sith on Musfar, he least thought Vader was dying from burns when he walked away. Not knowing Palpatine would save him.
Star wars died the moment George put pen to paper on the sale of his I.P. I like to blame Disney but George isn't innocent here. He literally sold out. He gave away his heart and soul for a billion dollars and the corporate world is squeezing every last drop of blood they can out of it before it all goes dry. Your childhood ended long ago and so did star wars.
Now, I don’t remember where I got this information but I have heard that the biggest reason George Lucas sold his company to Disney (Star Wars with it) is because he was scared his company was going to go bankrupt and he cared a lot about his employees and didn’t want them to loose their jobs. That’s why George specifically sold it to Disney, because Disney, in his eyes, is the only company that will never go bankrupt
@@elpoodoo3099 I mean it's certainly possible. Lucasfilm hadn't done anything serious in about a decade, a lot of the games released in the mid 2000s were okay or good, but LucasArts had at least two times as many duds as they did successes most years. The franchise certainly wasn't selling lots of toys either with Marvel drawing the attention of most children. It wouldn't surprise me if Lucas had enough to keep the lights on for a few years, but not enough for any serious projects by the time he sold to Disney.
And the turd on top, they stole the helmet getting cut to show Anakin's face from the end of Rebels season 2 were it actually had real emotional weight behind it.

What a waste of Ewan McGregor. Need I say more anyone? The question we should be asking is does mcgregor do the best with what he is given? The prequels are somehow better. Also can we all agree that this show is non canon?
I told my friend before Kenobi released “This show will make of break Star Wars. If they mess this up, there’s no coming back.” - Unfortunately, I was right. Friends have begged me to watch Andor but for me, it’s too late. I’m done. They somehow managed to take me, a LEGO Star Wars set collecting, wookiepedia reading, Star Wars obsessed super nerd for two decades, and turn me off of Star Wars entirely. At first I was frustrated, then annoyed; but now, now I’m just completely indifferent. I went from cheering for announcements to rolling my eyes to now not reacting or even knowing about them at all. I just don’t care anymore. The moment they retconned 40+ years of Star Wars content and trashed Lucas’ own story for the sequels, it was over.
dont know if you ever ended up watching it but Andor is easily the best disney era star wars show and most star wars fans will agree. check it out, its seriously worth the watch
24:50 I swear, the writers could've done it so that vader holds onto the ship where obi wan is with force, but that inquisitor girl attacks him from behind so he has to let go of the ship in order to defend himself. I am a child and I thought of this immediately, was this series written by mentally challenged baboons or something?
Bro that is actually genius, you don't need to change the writing for that scene like that, only the sequence. At least that way it would've added drama and made it make sense. I'm still surprised though, why is no one talking about how just a bit earlier in that scene, dozens of troopers all attacking simultaneously couldn't overwhelm a very lame Kenobi & like 10 more dudes that were on his side. The troopers were literally centimeters away with a blaster from Kenobi like wtf 😭
I was thinking the same once I looked back at it, it makes a cool scene have substance because she would have broken Vader's concentration once he was being surprise attacked and made one of the most obnoxious characters of the series have a redeeming action more substantial. These writer's need to be checked like, have someone prove read or something before releasing this shit 😂

My favorite part regarding the shields on the fortress inquisitorious is the fact that, in fallen order, it does, in fact, have shields. And this show takes place AFTER Cal Kestis was “stupid enough to attack it”
The game also showed the planet had a blockade of Imperial Star Destroyers and they had to use Merrin's Night Sister magics to cloak the ship to safely pass through.
This is how logic DOESNT work: bail organa doesnt hear from obi wan----> obi wan could have been captured----> he sents him a message to a device that could have been confiscated by Vader---> in that message he reveals the location of the only hope the galaxy has to overthrow palpatine.
Gotta love how Reva "honored" her dead Jedi friends by not murdering an innocent child. This was, of course, after years of murdering other Jedi.

He was usually dead serious and didn’t have much patience after losing nearly everything that he once cared about.

yeah what was happening in the writers room? were they smoking crack and meth the entire time until the day of the deadline and just threw some shit together?
From what I've heard from the writers of the show, the last scene between Vader and Obi-wan was written the way it was because the writers thought it would be clever if Obi-wan didn't know Vader's true identity until the face reveal. Despite the fact that in Revenge of the Sith, Obi-wan saw a holo-recording of the emperor referring to Anakin as Vader almost immediately after slaughtering the younglings.
Yes but that would imply they bothered to watch anything anakin or obi wan related prior to writing this
That literally means they have not taken the time to re-watch the material they are using for building blocks to their franchise.
You know it’s bad when both Obiwan and Vader became side characters in their own show.

The Leia chase scene was like one of those straight to DVD sequels to Disney Channel movies.

That’s because it told it’s own story without creating plot holes in the canon.

Why do leftwing extremists have the right to dictate everything when things like Star Wars were meant to be escapism.

@@WoKEWoRLdMAdNess Just stop watching the shows, stop giving them numbers and money.

@@yusouph2002 It wasn't up until the last episode. I actually did enjoy that.

@@svetlanaandrasova6086you can’t reason with Disney or Disney adults
My biggest annoyance with this show was how many times they BLATANTLY copied Jedi: Fallen Order. Lost connection to the force from PTSD, catching Leia from falling thus using the force for the first time in a long time, almost the ENTIRETY of the Fortress Inqusitorius break in. I understand that Fallen Order is a game, so less people would know it compared to shows and movies, but since the game is considered canon, its funny to think Fortress Inquisitorius got a downgrade in security😂 The only reason I watched the whole show was because of my deep love for Ewan and Hayden…
That’s what Disney does best, putting cheap ass nostalgia and callbacks over good storytelling and character development
The presence of Riva when a lightsaber just couldn't kill her is satirical
As a huge SW fan I have mastered a new ability. Ignoring Disneys canon when watching a Lucas SW. it helps.
Is it possible to learn this ?
@@Fiilis1 not from a jedi....
I made it through one episode. That was all I could take. I wish the people still holding out hope would break out of their denial.
I made it up to the episode where Vader and Obi fight. When Vader shows up and do Darth Vader shit I was like, ok... maybe this show has some hope.... then fights end happened and Vader just lets him get away and I was like, "Nope.", and stopped watching.
>a show about Obi-Wan
>made him a complete wimp, which is NOT his personality
>replaced him with a woke female char that nobody likes
>she, a Jedi, fought Darth Vader with intense hatred.
Star Wars fans *don't* deserve better. They've been gobbling up this slop for 8 years and defending it along the way.
Those aren’t fans those are critics trying to like what’s getting shoved down there throat and if you say anything negative about it they start insulting you and tell you every single slur

@@Kriplingpowr With Star Wars films' box office and viewership figures, man, there's a lot of critics out there.
Those are more important to Disney than making good shows that stick around for more than 1 or 2 seasons
i love star wars and the original characters, but god damn this show was ASS
I haven't seen this show and I have no interest in seeing it.
But upon learning Vader was in it, and would meet Obi Wan, I immediately thought: "This totally ruins the impact of them meeting again in A New Hope, also causes the 'When I left you I was but the learner, now I am the master' line to have no real meaning anymore"
At this point, if we never received another piece of Star Wars media, I’d be at peace with it
It was completely unnecessary.
When your short paragraph is loads better than what a million dollar studio could put out. Nice!
Instead of an Obi-Wan Series, why didn't they just make a Vader series based on the comics they themselves made? Or better yet, leave it.
After this Vader would go on to NOT look for Obi-Wan for 10 more years. Why? Because he LOVES the chase.
It wouldn't surprise me if Lucas had enough to keep the lights on for a few years, but not enough for any serious projects by the time he sold to Disney.
unfortunately it has become Riva's show the same way as the Mandalorian has becomee Bo Katan's show
The sadest thing about all of this is that some people didn't realize this show was horrible until they watched your video.
andor is one of the best star wars projects you can watch and all bc how bad kenobi did, No one watched it.
Disney really should not have control over Star Wars.
amen
And the turd on top, they stole the helmet getting cut to show Anakin's face from the end of Rebels season 2 were it actually had real emotional weight behind it.

Fu** no, they don't. Defenders of this embarrassment deserve The Acolyte, the new Rey trilogy, and also Dial of Destiny. That's what they deserve.
What if they put TWO BABY YODA's in it? ....
Yes!! Make one of them a girl and she can put a pink bow on her head and have long eyelashes and frosted lipstick! All the girls on earth will watch it then for totally sure omg
Hey, Mando was a great side character in S3
Disney ruined every character and every franchise I’ve ever loved.

@@PolarisYun they even could've let the inquisitor hurt vader a little to show how distracted and careless he was because of kenobi
This show only proves why fallen order was so good. It did everything this show tried to do but incredibly better.
Woke Disney writing is possibly the worst thing to ever happen to their history and legacy overall. It hurts them and Star Wars

Besides further fleshing out prequel and OT content, I’m seriously not interesting in anything else after episode 6.
It’s unfortunate that the stuff I actually wanted, like a Kenobi show, is one of the worst things I’ve ever seen
Just enjoy the classics and whatever sliver of quality SW content Disney actually produced (Rogue One, Andor and maybe Mando S1?). Better yet, go read the EU. Don't let Disney impact the love you once had for the series
Reva: the strong female character so beloved, the official Hasbro crowdsourcing of her lightsaber failed miserably to get funded so it got canceled
The Obi Wan series did the impossible. It made princess Leia annoying.
@@user-Bean55645 no you. Disney suck up.
