Right. The x men should already exist but they wasted an entire phase basically basically doing all new all diff marvel, the theatrical version
The problem is that the MCU is off course and if they are going to get back on course, they need to pick a team or group of heroes and simply focus on them, just like they did with the Avengers. To just randomly do a movie about some version of the X-Men as one movie that doesn't tie into any further films about mutants or the X-Men as a whole phase or two in and of itself would make absolutely no sense and be an absolute waste.
For example, instead of the garbage Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness we got, they could have done a version where Wanda awakened as being an Omega level mutant, and instead of her going across the multiverse killing everything, she could have simply saw the other versions of herself being a mutant and thus giving her a vision of her destiny. Ultimately Dr Strange would chase her, but in the end she would elude him as she determines that it is necessary for her to continue to explore this multiverse to "find herself". And then of course later on, this would cross over into her becoming familiar with mutants in other multiverses and trying to awaken mutants in the main MCU earth.
Anyway, all that to say, this isn't about any specific director or writer, it is about Marvel having a plan where all this is going over the next few phases and that isn't going to come from a pitch or a single movie by itself. Not to mention they also have to somehow fit the Fantastic Four into all of this who are another team that doesn't exist in the main MCU earth and all the villains that go along with them, not to mention all the villains from the X-Men we haven't seen yet.
I agree with everything except your second paragraph. A movie would obviously feel rushed, but aside from that, anything related to that is better saved for Secret Wars.
@@user-bk4pm6me8i The second paragraph is just showing how Wanda's "awakening" could be used as a stepping stone for future films. Not necessarily "secret wars" per se but more related to the introduction of mutants into the MCU earth where they don't exist right now. If anything the story is more of a variant of "House of M" than secret wars.
Last X-men movie was is 2019 we are definitely ready for the X-Men to be in the MCU now & I know Kevin is itching to push that button there shouldn’t be a wait.
This guy hasn't written any movies that have 1. been successful 2 turned a profit. So calling him a workhorse is only correct if that horse tipped over the cart, runs away and tramples pedestrians.

Black Panther was good. I agreed Josh Wakanda Forever wasn't great. I'm not confident Coogler would do all the Xmen characters justice.

Black panther was ok at best. It was Lion King but with people. Go back and rewatch it. If you’ve watched it more than once
I think for a director, they should give it to Martin Scorcese. Get him off that straight-to-Netflix track that he's been on. Give Marty the X-Men; get him back in actual theaters.
Mike Carey created the Children of the Vault 15+ years ago. It's a pretty fun little xmen story. Dennis Camp just wrote the miniseries that wrapped up a month or two ago.

children of the vault are post-humans, the vault experiences time differently then everyone in 616. inside the vault time moves something like 200x faster than outside even though it feels normal, this temporal acceleration allowed humans to evolve over a short period of time(30 years outside the vault = 6000 years in it).

Storm has been a team leader for a very long time. So has Emma frost. Female team leads are not new to the X-Men

Agreed. I'm tired of the school and I think krakoa would have been the best way to tie in the fox X-Men too with the several lives of Moira or have another character in that place. It would have been really cool to see all these different timelines tie into the sacred timeline like that.

Cooglers ability to get the audience on the same side as the villain, understand and almost believe in the Villain like how he did with Killmonger was better than every other villain in the MCU.
