Even with a way more conservative growth rate it in less than 3 years most families in the US will have some kind of VR device and in less than 7 years it will be the main source of gaming (except for mobile gaming)

Apple is scared sh*tless with these new developments from Meta. Especially the glasses. Apple is really losing its cutting-edge title to Meta. Also, the event looked amazing in 3D in Meta Horizon Worlds. It was one of the highest visual quality live streams I have ever seen.
Far more natural and engaging presentation than Apple's presenter's with their robotic arm movements. Dare I say, Zuckerberg's new presentation style is almost as fun as the late Jobs.

The orion glasses look pretty cool. Not sure what I would need it for but its still impressive. I'll be getting quest 3 though instead of the 3s. Have had the quest2 and is one of the best tech purchases I've ever made and works great after 4 years. If I'm going to enjoy the next headset over that same length of time it makes sense to get the greater FOV of the quest3.
