CC and Mick Mars,two underated guitarist. Love them both! They don't get respect because of their personal shenanigins and the type of bands they play in are considered party bands,not serious music.
Very well said. That's exactly what I was going to comment. There are a lot of guitarists in huge, popular bands who can play in ways like no other, but the band, record labels, contracts don't allow them to showcase their actual abilities as guitarists. We end up finding out way later after the new fades off of the band and we think, why wasnt he playing like this on the albums?

CC had to audition for Poison. The fact he’s not a pretty boy but still managed to win the gig shows he had and still has serious chops
nicolas sosolic Sure, CC is not a technical monster like Gilbert or Vai, but I’d much rather listen to his music. He can write great songs and crafts tasty guitar solos.
He whipped out in 20 seconds, more technical playing than 30 years of Poison tunes combined.

Because he understood that great songs, and catchy solos you can whistle to..... will get people to come watch your "solo".... playing amazing solo's with technical amaze will not bring people to listen to your songs.

I love CC he's fucking amazing
GMP equipped since 1999. I have yet to find a guitar that's comparable. There has not been one player who has ever sat in with me that didnt fall in love with my GMP's after playing on them. They are so comfortable to play, they make you sound class levels higher. They almost play themselves.
Beautiful Phat massive sound from an instrument that qualifies as fine art.
Cameron Moline (and Gary) created the greatest guitars in the planet.

@@Bill-uv6jm he tried teaching me how to play , he just never had the patience, he was so focused his playing. Every single day he would practice for hours on end on a cheap imatation Stratocaster. I remember he was like sixteen when he got a BC Rich Gunslinger,that was his first serious guitar.

I have to say one thing after seeing him in person and raw, not just as a musician but as a human. I am really glad CC overcame his heroin addiction because when you look at the guy who was with Julie brown at the mtv awards and strung out of his mind and see the man he is today, you can only pull for people who have seen the light at the end of tunnel and found their way back. I am sure that eases much of the tension with Bret and the rest of the band as well. When you see them play at the stadium shows they look like a band that’s transformed into greatness through their struggles within the band. God bless Poison. These guys came to rock and seeing the other bands, they definitely outdid Joan Jett and the Crue hands down. Keep up the great work CC!!!!!

CC is a hero. Hater's can do what ever they feel compelled to do, but when I was 8 there was no one else I wanted to be like. The songs were radio hits! And everyone says they sucked? Not possible. If millions of people loved it. I hope he is enjoying the good life.

I still think that the BC Rich in CC's earlier days sounds better. I do think CC is an incredible guitar player and so glad to have gotten to see him play live.
That was awesome, CC is the man. It's a shame he doesn't get more credit for being a phenomenal guitar player, because that's exactly what he is. One of the most talented in all of rock n roll.
The eighties definitely had some shredders and I never thought of cc as one of them. I really really wanted to not like poison because they were so simple and "no talent," gimmicky, flash in the pan, would be gone in a year, all of the typical thoughts that most musicians of any significant caliber would probably have. They were the opener at a show I went to see and I had to admit, my opinion changed and it changed me as a person to not be so judgmental. They were really fun, and holy geez they really did work on stage for the audience's approval. They were gonna make you like them. Granted, ALOT of cocaine probably helped but regardless, they put it all out there and I liked it. Jackyl was the same way for me in a sense that nobody in the band particularly stood out talent wise but collectively they kicked a$$. And I'll say this, those that think he sucks, learn some of solos. Yes the scales are easy blah blah blah but some of it has shown me he was pretty good. Not a fan necessarily just sayin I don't really understand the hating. MILLIONS of people thought they were great. Ask the average person who they would rather go see a concert of......satriani or poison...... Makes no sense I know but poison will probably win that one. Myself, satriani for sure but those kind of players are too complicated for a more simplistic society. And if you REALLY want the shredders to get the credit they deserve, how many of you are supporting them by purchasing their complete cd's or downloading entire albums? Dvd's? How many of you downloaded single songs for free or copied a friends cd? Just sayin. Sigh.... That was way too much for this video. The guitars look sweet though, gotta get my hands on one

+john james My thoughts exactly. You can tell from this video that his chops have vastly improved from Poison's 80's heyday. I never heard him tap or play sweep arpeggios like that before. Before, it was all sloppy blues licks and harmonic whammy bar squeals, but he's improved by leaps and bounds. Kudos to him, and I hope he keeps improving.
actually he's always been that good. well, not since he was a baby or anything, but veggie he was in poison. he just didn't shred to much with them. that, I don't know why. I guess they just didn't want him to.

Cici never pputs the guitar down.. literally , when he has a opportunity to play , he plays .. had a friend tour with em back years ago on the tour setting up and he said everytime he'd walk by cici would be playing, hardest working musician on the stage every night.

I agree! Funny thing is when we were teen Bruce (AKA) C.C never so much as drank a beer the rest of us were fucked up on weed, booze and sometimes acid, he would hang out never touched anything. Many of the crowd he hung with died of OD or went to prison as I did , Bruce made good. Iam very proud of him

It's crazy how some guitar players can plug a random guitar into a random amp with random settings and still sound like them.
There are many incredible musicians that have been done a great disservice by being labeled "glam" or "hair bands". Just because they wore makeup and had big hair doesn't mean they can't play. Here is just one example of that.

when did C.C. learn sweeps? but in all reality, C.C. has always admitted himself that he just didn't take playing as seriously as he should have because of his drug and alcohol abuse. he could have been so much more. Also life goes on is absolutely one of the best solos.
The only thing CC can sweep with any degree of clarity and precision is his bathroom floor.
Once he gets warmed up he starts shredding that geetar.......
