I’ve seen Poison at this venue several times over the years, and maybe not CC directly, but I always think it has to be so cool for these guys to play here. This is literally a 15 min drive down the highway from where Bret and Rikki grew up.....
Coolest guys ever!a Long time ago one of poison gave my cousin who is in s wheel chair a back stage pass!Michaels brother and step sister were with us.we all 4 went back stage and someone made Michael pick only one person to stay with him.he picked his step sister. I cried and cried.!now we have no idea were that girl is.and I still help take care of him!I still have ticket and small poster it is on my fb. I have never forgot!!!!!:). :(

CC was one of my favorite guitarist... until I met him crossing the street in Toledo, Oh. with his tech carrying a tube amp head from the hotel to the arena downtown. I told him what a huge fan I was and he was one of my guitar idols. I walked with him all the way to the arena and I asked him for an autograph... he looked at me and told his tech that he couldn't fuckin believe that we people even listened to his music (meaning Black people). He gave me a resounding "No" to my autograph request!!! I wanted to see Poison again when they came to Dallas, but I can't support such a racist individual! Wow!!! I guess we're supposed to all listen to "Black Folks Music" according to Mr Johannesson. I pray he doesn't raise his son this way!!!

I've been a heavy metal guitarist for over 30 years playing in several cover bands as well as having tryouts for a lot of major groups. I just don't know why CC would have approached me like he did. I was such a poison fan that it's ridiculous, but seeing the way they look at black people, I have changed my opinion of them as PEOPLE! What if I were to act that way toward white people or any people for that matter how far will I have gotten? Wouldn't I be called a RACIST??? Contrary to his beliefs, people of other races also like the group Poison. It's about the music, not about the color. Or at least so I thought!
