C.C is one of the best ever!
Great player-he writes some really catchy hooks a tasty solos. Poison songs are fun to play on guitar.
When I see CC play it makes me wonder why people used to (and maybe still do) hate on him. I grew up in the 80's and 90's loved Poison but never got why people hated on him.
I think I know, it's because we all have to tune down to D to play his riffs 🤣

C.C. DeVille was an interesting player in the 80's. He was more rock star than musician. I never cared for his phrasing or style. I never kept up with his "going's on".
After seeing this video, I am very happy for Poison, their fans, GMP Guitars, and mostly for C.C. DeVille.
Say what you want about C.C. but that boy has been practicing and is flying the GMP flag proud. I hope they carry on and I would really like to see them next time around.

I saw Poison back in 1989 when they were on top of their game! At the Long Beach Arena.
I went there not expecting much since I was into much more heavier stuff. But they really impressed me. I ain't gonna lie! The show was exciting and they were tight and the sound was perfect. They kept the energy going the whole time and Brett was great with the crowd.
CC is the man! Love him!

Growing up in the 80's I was learning guitar and extremely into thrash. It wasn't cool to like Poison however I thought they where ok but what I really enjoyed was CC Deville! Not many give him a lot of credit but I admired his solos because of his note choices and unlike other hair metal bands of the time his solos fit the song extremely well.
I have to say C.C. looks better and plays better than he ever did. So glad he turned his life around and gave it to God. It really shows!

Their best song to me. C.C. is a criminally underrated guitarist. His solo on this song is hard to beat. They have always brought incredible energy to their performances.

I seen Poison in 2007, I couldn't believe how these bad ass 80s rock band still had the crowd rockin hard!!!! CC did a amazing solo,Rikki did a awesome solo on the drums.Brett,well...he is still Brett,but I did get to hug & kiss CC!!!! so it was really nice!

I love these tools talking their crap about C.C.'s playing. I mean if you think you can go up there and do better, by all means go out and prove it...otherwise it'd be wise to shut the fk up while he's playing. He's a brilliant guitarist and one of the best ever.
Nice to see CC cleaned up and rocking!! I think he got so tired of being picked on as a cut rate guitarist that he figured if he could play some VH he would get some respect? But nice to see his guitar playing improved!!!

I rmember back in 1986 being at a little club in Azusa Ca and these 2 (what I thought were girls) come walking up to me and said (in a deep voice) "You wanna come and see our band?". They handed me a flyer and it said "POISON". I looked at them and said "thanks". I didn't go which I regret.....it was Brett and Rikki that handed me the flyer

People only ragged on him because he dared have fun and not be pretentious taking himself too serious- trying to be some over the top self declared genius. But.... a hell of a guitar player who understood playing to the song first and entertaining the crowd was the ultimate rock start shredder thing to do.
I saw these guys in Toronto when they were still touring for their debut album, but they started including songs from their upcoming album "Open Up & Say Ah", and this was one of them they played. They opened for David Lee Roth in 1988 for his "Skyscraper Tour" at Maple Leaf Gardens.
Thought it was EVH for a sec there.. :)
